Details

This retreat is held in a peaceful oceanfront setting on Isla Mujeres, designed to support stillness, clarity, and a sense of ease. The ambiance is intimate and unhurried, allowing participants to slow down and reconnect with themselves in a natural, grounding environment. The intent of the retreat is to offer a spacious reset at the beginning of the year—one that balances mindful structure with freedom and rest. Through yoga, breathwork, meditation, and reflective practices, participants are supported in cultivating presence, resilience, and sustainable well-being. Rather than focusing on intensity or performance, the retreat emphasizes listening, self-awareness, and integration. Time in nature, thoughtful pacing, and a small-group environment create conditions for deeper connection, both individually and collectively. Participants often leave feeling more grounded, clear, and energized, with tools and insights that extend beyond the retreat experience and into daily life.

Testimonials

info

Just finished the 30-day Intro to Mysore at Yoga Shala with Paulina. I can’t say enough good things about this shala and the people. So welcoming, and Paulina is so supportive and pushes you just where you need it. This is a legit studio with dedicated teachers and students.

Mimi Magaw, United States

Shala means ‘house’ in Sanskrit, a place where Ashtanga is taught. For those who enjoy challenges and structure, Ashtanga fits perfectly. Yoga Shala is a serious, hands-on practice with excellent instructors. Only been 18 months since my double hip replacements, and I am fully mobile and happy. The best forms of physical therapy, exercise in a peaceful, quiet environment for true learning.

Lilly C. Teng, United States

This is the real deal. You won't find yoga like this anywhere else in town. The studio is clean and inviting, and the teachers are fantastic and deeply knowledgeable. I am happy to have found YSSA. Whether you are a beginner or an established practitioner, this is the place to be. Give it a try!
