  • Led by Suvvidhi, a monk rooted in Indian classical spiritual traditions

Details

This retreat offers a rare blend of deep meditation, sacred travel, and authentic spiritual guidance. Led by Suvvidhi, a monk shaped by years of direct practice within Indian contemplative traditions, it is designed to support a movement from inner restlessness toward stillness, presence, and self-connection. Daily practice includes both active and silent meditation, with sessions held three times a day. The retreat is further enriched by visits to some of Nepal’s most revered spiritual sites, including Swayambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, as well as sacred caves, shrines, and forest walking trails in the Kathmandu Valley.

Location

Kathmandu, Nepal

Raniban, located on the northwestern edge of Kathmandu, is a peaceful, forested area whose name literally means “Queen’s Forest.” It sits along the slopes near Nagarjun Forest Reserve, offering a quiet escape from the city’s bustle with fresh air, pine-covered hills, and scenic walking trails. The area is known for its tranquil atmosphere, occasional wildlife sightings, and panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley, making it a popular spot for nature walks, meditation, and low-key retreats while still being within easy reach of central Kathmandu.

Nestled in the serene enclave of Raniban, Innerview Apartments offers a unique juxtaposition of modern luxury and spiritual calm. Our architecture is a dialogue between modernist principles and local heritage. Red brick pillars and beige stone cladding provide warmth and solidity, while large windows invite the healing light of Kathmandu. The design balances functionality with aesthetics—clean lines meet organic textures. "A place where the walls breathe with red brick, and the soul finds quiet in the wooden details." From the polished wooden doors to the potted plants softening our entryway, every detail is curated to welcome foreigners seeking a home away from home.

Schedule

Each day follows a structured rhythm designed to support deep meditation and inner integration. Most days begin with morning active meditation, followed by breakfast and extended mindful or guided meditation sessions. After lunch, participants gather for discussion or spiritual talk, followed by another meditation session and walking meditation. Evenings include dinner, chanting, experience sharing, Q&A, and a closing sleep meditation. On two days of the retreat, the regular schedule expands into guided travel experiences, including visits to sacred sites in Kathmandu and a short hike in Shivapuri. These days are designed as an integral part of the retreat, combining meditation, mindful movement, spiritual atmosphere, and direct contact with Nepal’s sacred landscape. This daily flow creates a balanced retreat experience of practice, reflection, movement, and rest. Please note: this is the general daily schedule and it may be adjusted slightly if needed.

Testimonials

info

Meeting Suvvidhi Muni changed my life in a profound way. It changed my relationship with myself, with others, and with my daily practice. My life has become lighter, simpler, and much happier. I stopped judging myself and began to accept myself as I am. From that place, I started building my life based on my own understanding and on what truly matters to me. I am deeply grateful to him for this transformation. He helped clear so much inner noise and unnecessary mental clutter from my mind that my way of seeing life became more objective, realistic, and free from judgment. I no longer live under the pressure of excessive expectations: my own or those of others. I am learning to simply be happy, regardless of tension around me, other people’s desires, or what they expect from me.
