Join us for a wee Step Away... 5-night residential retreat: Living in the Present We warmly invite you to join us for our 1st mindfulness residential retreat abroad. Set in Perunea, a beautiful retreat centre nestled in the stunning Aralar mountains of the Southern Basque Country, Spain, we will offer you a home from home experience. Receive the invitation as an opportunity to step away from your everyday life.... to slow down, have the opportunity to reconnect with parts of yourself that perhaps get lost or silenced in the everyday habits of your life. The retreat is suitable for those completely new to retreating, those with experience are more than welcome to join too! Mindfulness meditation experience is recommended. Based on Vicky's personal retreat experience, which she has benefited from immensely over the years, you will be offered the chance to live and practice mindfulness in community, sharing periods of meditation, teaching and being in silence as well as the preparation of and eating meals together and the beautiful living space. There will also be pauses in the day for you to spend as you wish, reading, drinking tea, going for walks. There will also be the option to join a restorative yoga session. Spending time in this way can be a very beautiful, healing and rejuvenating experience and we are excited to offer you this wee retreat!

Nestled in the foothills of the Aralar mountain range in Navarre, the Perunea farmhouse was built in the 16th century in Gaintza, Navarre, very close to the Ignatian Way. It was renovated in 2006 using bioclimatic and natural building techniques. Today, we share the beauty of the house, the surrounding area, and its healing energy with those who wish to enjoy nature and connect with themselves. We cook vegan food, using locally sourced ingredients from our garden, mindful of the environmental impact of our choices. We offer personal development workshops—one day, weekend, or longer—as well as vacations where the goal is to enjoy and relax in a unique setting.

Testimonials

info

Thank you, Vicky, for this 3-day retreat on the Isle of Bute. The accommodation and setting were perfect. It was an opportunity for rest and connection with myself and other like-minded people. This was my first ever residential retreat and will most certainly not be my last. Vicky held the space with compassion and safety, and I am very grateful for this retreat and for her being my Mindfulness Meditation Teacher.
