Discover how to embody peace with food and how to maintain this heart-centered approach through a blend of lectures, integrative activities, and in-depth Q&A sessions. Lisa Schlosberg shares her journey to healthy eating and the benefits of her holistic approach to healing around food. You are a spiritual being having a physical experience with an animal brain. Whether it's overeating, undereating, or constant dieting, a "disordered" relationship with food is not the problem; it's a valid attempt to feel safe, regulate emotion, and manage stress in a disconnected mind-body-soul system. This retreat guides you in returning home to yourself through a trauma-informed, heart-centered approach. Learn to feel your feelings, meet your needs, and create safety within your body while reconnecting with your intuition and stabilizing around food naturally. Inspired by Plato's Allegory of the Cave, the week unfolds as a three-part journey of reconnection: Reveal the Cave: Identify and release limiting beliefs, unhelpful conditioning, and outdated approaches that block self-trust. Come Out of the Cave: Reinhabit your body and reconnect with your intuition through radical acceptance, self-compassion, mindset shifts, nutritional education, and evidence-based practices for embodied safety. Live Beyond the Cave: Learn to sustain balance, peace, and intuitive nourishment in daily life—on your terms and in alignment with who you truly are. Through psychoeducational teachings, hands-on workshops, integrative activities, guided somatic experiencing, direct coaching, and in-depth Q&A, we explore the science, psychology, and spirituality of eating in ways that are both eye-opening and deeply healing. You return home awakened, empowered, and free—understanding the roots of your relationship with food, feeling safe in your skin, and trusting yourself to partner with your body to nourish your life with love, intention, and ease. More Information The faculty strongly recommends listening to the Out of the Cave podcast in preparation for the course.
