Hi,
My name is Robert Aceves and I welcome you to this five-minute mindfulness meditation to disconnect at any time throughout your day.
First of all,
I would like to congratulate you for taking this five minutes to recharge your energy.
It's very important to always put yourself first.
Giving yourself even five minutes of inner peace a day can have great benefits in your life.
So we're going to take advantage of this next few minutes to focus your attention,
Bring your attention to the present,
And recharge your energy.
And by taking this time to center yourself,
You'll be able to manifest your goals with ease.
Let's begin.
I'm going to ask you to go to a comfortable place where no one will interrupt you for a few minutes,
Either at work,
By your desk,
Or at home,
Or wherever you are,
And close your eyes.
And gently bring your attention to your breath.
Feel the air entering your body,
And the air leaving your body,
And gently make each breath become deeper and more pleasant.
And that's it.
And now,
Take a deep breath in,
And release the air slowly through your mouth.
And that's it.
And continue to breathe deeply,
Feeling how your lungs expand each time you inhale,
And how your lungs contract each time you exhale.
Feeling your body,
And notice how your body feels right now.
Notice what sensations are in your body right now.
What emotions are you experiencing now?
Notice if there is any physical or emotional tension.
Now,
Allow your body to relax for a few minutes,
And imagine sending love to the parts of your body that need healing right now.
And I'm going to ask you to personally thank your body for everything that it does for you,
And give your body this moment to rest from everything it does for you throughout the day.
Continue breathing,
And observe if any thoughts come to mind,
Or if you're easily distracted.
That's okay,
It's normal.
Sometimes that happens to us.
Just become aware of it,
And gently bring your attention back to your breath,
And use your breath as an anchor to the present.
And now,
I'm going to ask you to remember something that happened to you today,
That made you smile,
Or that made you feel grateful.
And allow that emotion of gratitude to invade your whole body.
With each breath,
You feel how your body fills with life,
And you can feel that feeling of gratitude to be alive from head to toes.
And you can also feel the energy of your body and your body.
And you can also feel how this feeling makes you want to smile.
Now,
I'm going to ask you to think of something that you can do today,
For yourself,
Or for someone else,
That will allow you to continue to feel this joy that you feel right now.
It can be something as simple as resting from social media,
Or not watching TV tonight before you go to sleep so you can sleep more soundly.
Or maybe you can think about inviting a friend for dinner.
Think of something you can decide right now that you're going to do today,
That will bring you more happiness and joy to your life.
And think about that.
And as you think about that,
Feel that beautiful emotion that comes from doing something positive,
For yourself,
Or for others.
And take your time.
So you can continue feeling your breath.
Now take a deep breath in.
And that's it.
Continue feeling your breath.
And now take a deep breath in,
And feel how your lungs fill with love.
And as you release the air,
Feel how you're releasing everything that you don't need to carry with you anymore.
One more time,
Take a deep breath in.
Hold the air for a second,
And release the air through your mouth.
That's it.
One last time,
Take a deep breath in,
And imagine your whole body filling with oxygen in life.
Hold the air for a second,
And release the air slowly.
That's it.
And little by little,
You'll come back to the present,
Thanking yourself for taking this time for yourself.
And when you feel that you've had enough,
You'll decide to open your eyes slowly,
And return to the present time,
Feeling much better,
More energized,
And with more desire to live,
And ready to continue the rest of your day.
