Hello,
Welcome to this relaxation meditation.
Unwinding is movement which arises out of that state of mental calm.
Make yourself comfortable by sitting or lying down.
Relax.
This time is just for you.
Close your eyes.
Now take in a deep deep breath all the way down deep into your belly.
Hold your breath for few seconds and then exhale.
With each out breath consciously allow the body to relax.
Now repeat this breathing.
Inhaling cool refreshing air exhaling hot tense air.
Take another slow and deep breath.
These deep breaths help you to relax and they help your body feel safe and calm.
Let your body begin to settle into this place where you are sitting or lying down so you can feel supported.
You can begin to let go of your worries as your thoughts come and go.
You do have the power to relax your body and mind.
You can be aware of the sound of music and the sound of my voice.
Now you are in total peace with your surroundings.
It's time to go within and say hello to the amazing body parts that work together to keep us alive.
Bring your awareness to your feet.
Through your mind's eye imagine there are two small white balls of light coming out of mother earth.
These are balls of earth's healing energy.
As they move up through your body they fill each and every area with calm and peaceful energy.
The two white balls enter the soles of your feet relaxing them completely.
They move up to the ankles,
Knees,
Thigh releasing any tension in that area.
They move up and down few times.
Every part of your body feels completely relaxed.
As these balls reach your waist they merge together into one big ball of light.
It moves up to your belly,
Circulates around your navel,
Relaxing it completely.
Moving up to the chest.
From here river of comfort moves to your shoulder and then neck.
Now allow that feeling of calm and relaxation along with the ball to soften your face and jaws.
Let it move to your forehead.
Now allow this ball to travel up to your head.
Imagine it circulating in your head and sucking away all negative thoughts,
Stress,
Worry or anxiety.
Let your mind sink deep into the feeling of calm and relaxation.
From here it goes out taking away all that is not required and release it into the universe.
Now bring your awareness to your breath and observe it for few seconds.
Listen to the sounds around you without trying to identify what they are.
Extend your awareness to any smell or fragrance around you.
Again no need to label what they are.
Just take note of them.
Now bring your awareness to the temperature around you.
Now to your body and any physical sensation.
Simply observe them.
Finally bring your awareness back to your breath.
Just watching rise and fall of your belly.
Enjoy the comfort of being relaxed.
Take all the time you need to slowly and gradually return your awareness to the present moment.
To reconnect to the surroundings wiggle your toes and fingers.
Feel your body supported.
When you are ready slowly open your eyes feeling refreshed and at peace.
