Owning The Year By Being Led By Lifeforce
by Raj Gorsia
I was getting fired up with the end of the year approaching so I held this live session. If your lifeforce is at potent levels, then your life will reflect. Fear, the mind, the ego, it's a giant power. But lifeforce is more powerful. Learn how to make the switch and make your year transformative.

Alright guys,
So yeah tell me how you're feeling put in the chat how you feel in this moment.
How are you feeling in this moment?
Nice,
Charms is in the house from Australia.
Yes,
That's awesome.
I've been looking for Aussies.
Whenever I'm doing these sessions I'm always looking for Aussies.
There's not as many when I do it.
So it's probably quite early for you,
Right?
So,
Makes sense.
How is everyone feeling?
Check in with yourself.
I want this to be your time that you're investing.
To say,
Okay I might have had a busy day.
I might have been doing stuff.
I might have just woken up.
How are you feeling in this moment?
Slow down time into the now.
Check in,
Ask yourself.
What am I feeling in this moment?
It's like a phone call to yourself.
One this dumb is on the ear and then imagine my little finger could reach to my heart.
Give yourself a phone call and say,
Hey how are you feeling right now?
And share in the chat.
Let's get this party started.
New Year's Eve party.
Like I said before I might not run an event this year.
This might be the last one.
It's the 19th December.
So we got,
Someone said,
Feeling is cozy.
Yeah,
Christmas cartoons.
Nice.
Laurieann says,
I was feeling tired in the start and I'm feeling energized now.
Good.
I'm glad you're feeling the vibes.
And Karen says,
Feeling pretty good.
Sipping some mint tea and was listening to Xmas music.
Oh nice.
It feels like everyone's getting festive.
Tracy,
I've gone from this morning as a three and now a 6.
5.
Good.
Nice.
That's quite a jump actually.
You know,
You're,
You've gone from three to 6.
5.
So the next jump is a 10.
So that's awesome.
Yeah,
That's my quick maths.
Miriam says,
Huge excitement energized.
Nice.
Glad.
Aleandra says,
Today I'm feeling calm,
Grateful.
Good.
Jennifer says,
Tense and tired.
Ah,
Your dad's in hospital.
Okay.
That's a shame.
That's a shame.
Hopefully everything turns out okay and I'm sending you some energy.
Charm says,
Happy and content.
Tracy,
A walk,
Community and cooking helped.
Okay.
Nice.
I like that.
Alright guys.
Let's slow down.
I say slow down a lot by the way.
Because it just connects with everyone.
Connects with me as well.
I have to slow myself down as a teacher.
This is a tendency to rush and to try and do so much in our lives.
You know,
You might watch something and your mind is not actually there.
Your body's there.
Your mind is not there.
So check in once again.
How is your body feeling?
Maybe this time your check-in will be different to the time I just asked you about.
Checking in again.
Listen to the breathing.
And close your eyes if you want.
Just listen to the breathing.
Doesn't matter if you're having thoughts.
Just listen.
Notice how the breath comes in and then leaves on its own without you having to get involved.
Just watch.
The stomach rises.
The shoulders rise.
Chest.
And then they just fall.
You release.
Like a wave.
The wave rises.
And the wave falls.
Watching the wave of breath.
Then imagine in the center of your heart there's a golden spinning power source.
Spinning energy.
Picture it.
Feeling.
In the heart.
If thoughts come,
It's okay.
Stop trying so hard.
It's just okay.
Imagine spinning golden energy in your heart.
Now feel it expanding wider,
Stronger.
Feel it expanding like a star.
The two arms of the star.
Your arms.
The two feet of the star.
Your feet.
And feel the head of the star.
Your head.
Feel yourself being stretched and bathed with this golden energy.
Washing away the worries.
Feeling you with light and life.
Keep following your breath.
And start to feel the energy come back.
Now start to feel the energy come back in to the heart.
Come back in to the body.
Closing the portal.
Come back in to the body.
Start becoming aware of the body.
The physical body.
Feel your fingers.
Start making gentle movements with them.
Feel your legs.
Move your toes.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
All right.
Hope that sound brought you straight back.
Share in the chat how you feel now versus when you joined.
And anyone joined,
Welcome.
We're about to get into the topic in a moment.
Owning next year.
How are you guys feeling?
Karen saying,
Experienced,
Feeling passionately creative and joyful.
Wow.
That's like some awesome word combination.
I don't even know how I can get better than that.
Jen,
Gratitude for everyone's kindness and caring energy.
Yeah,
Because we're here together.
You know,
It's crazy when you think about that.
We're all in our homes.
In our different chairs and things,
Right?
In different parts of the world.
And we're here.
When I'm guiding these things,
I'm really connecting to that energy.
Like there is no me anymore when I'm doing this.
I'm really connecting to that energy of this expansion,
This togetherness.
Because if I was in me,
There's no way I can guide a meditation because I'll be thinking about what am I saying and how do I do next?
That has to be gone for me to authentically guide this stuff and connect to you guys.
And that's why I like to ask people sometimes their location and how you're feeling.
Because then I can really connect to you and like where you are.
And ask as a collective.
So what else guys?
What else are you feeling?
What's up Lani?
Nice to see you.
Expensive,
Calm and grateful,
Say star seeker.
Awesome.
Good.
Good.
All right.
So people are feeling good.
So,
Owning 2022.
I'm going to dissect this sentence that I made when I labelled this.
Owning.
Number one,
Owning your life.
This is your life.
These are your thoughts,
Even if they're annoying at times.
They're yours.
It's like if you had a jacket,
A coat.
You own that coat.
You decide when to put it on.
The coat's not going to jump at you and just like go all over your head and try and own you,
Right?
We own our bodies.
We own our thinking.
We are the experience of it.
So when I say own,
I really mean taking responsibility of things.
Realizing that you have a choice.
You have a choice here with what you do with your life.
Because we have default mode.
We have default mode based on our thoughts,
Our patterns,
Our habitual behaviors.
When I say owning,
I'm really calling you out right now.
Calling you out to say,
Hey,
You have a choice.
Do you want to like be in the same default mode or do you want to go in a different way completely?
Like this.
Upwards.
That's what I mean by owning.
The thing that's opposite to owning is victim.
It's being a victim to our thoughts,
Our environment,
Other people,
Other people's energy,
All of that stuff.
When we're a victim,
We feel like we're powerless.
And I say all of this from experience,
By the way.
I'm not like trying to make anyone feel bad.
I say it because I felt bad when I was a victim.
When I was trapped by my mind and my thinking.
I had no idea how my life.
I thought that I was born like one of the faulty toys that you've got to give back.
That's genuinely what I felt.
I thought everyone else is okay and I'm,
You know,
Why me?
I even used to like,
I had all of these weird thoughts,
Let's just say,
Of just putting myself down,
Let's say,
Comparing myself to everyone else.
Some of you guys probably can relate.
And I later realised that everyone feels this to some level.
But my whole life I was trapped in this like,
This is only me.
I was looking out on the world like looking out of a window and thinking I'm in a box.
So I get what I'm trying to teach you,
You know,
It's not just,
It's not judgement,
Hopefully.
Hopefully it doesn't sound like that.
So when I say ownership,
You're into that power you have.
Realising.
So that's the first word.
2022,
That's just the year next year,
So let's not go into that word too much.
Then I say,
By being,
Being.
So let's go into that,
By being.
We can be thinking about stuff.
We can think of who we want to be next.
Yeah,
Everyone can think,
There's all these books out there.
You can read The Power of Now and understand what it means to be in presence and be excited by it.
Oh cool,
Like it makes so much sense.
This ego thing in this presence,
It does make sense.
The reason why I reference that is because a lot of people message me saying,
Like certain books they've read,
The Power of Now sometimes comes up.
But living it is different.
So when I say being,
I'm saying you're ready to be that person,
To do what it takes.
So I'm saying being led,
Because you're led by your being.
And even when I say that,
There's another meaning to that,
Now that just comes up.
Being is the true you that's in there.
The thing that is not thoughts or like default mode is,
I don't know,
You can call this whatever you want,
Right?
People have different names,
Universe or eternal life,
Whatever,
God.
I'm talking about the being,
That part of whatever I just said,
God or whatever,
In us.
So being led by that,
Allowing it to lead you,
Compass almost.
And then the last part is by life force.
So the life force energy in us.
You think about a plant outside in the grass.
It's got something that gives it life,
Right?
It comes from this tiny seed.
And it gets,
You know the seed itself is life force.
The same as us.
You know,
You think about a person,
A man and a woman.
I don't need to explain like what happens for a person to be made,
But it's from nothing.
It's from nothing.
It's a tiny little seed that has everything it needs to live.
It's like potent.
And there's this saying,
I think it's from Hinduism,
Which is,
The entire universe is the size of a mustard seed.
Because it is.
It doesn't matter about the size in like how we think about it.
It's all coming from like hardly anything.
The life force.
So when I say owning next year by being led by life force,
It's you realizing that you have this life force in you and harnessing it basically.
Harnessing it,
Creating whatever you want.
The life force is a creative force.
It creates things,
Everything.
So that's what I mean by that.
And feel free to put some comments in.
If anything comes up for you guys,
Feel free to put some comments in.
But here's the challenge that comes up for most of us.
Like clients or me as well,
Right?
I'm not a perfect human.
The challenge that comes up is we get bombarded with thoughts.
And that in itself is okay.
Being bombarded with thoughts is happening all the time.
We walk past the kitchen and we start thinking about food.
All of these thoughts come.
We're outside in nature,
All of that comes.
It's natural for that to recur,
Right?
But what we get challenged by is when we attach on to thinking.
When we turn something from in our mind,
Temporary,
To like we extend the life of it.
So our thoughts might come and say,
Now let's take a real life example.
Let's say that you want to change jobs,
Change careers,
Do something different.
And this happened actually with someone I've been speaking to recently.
She said,
I really want to just change careers,
But I don't know what to do.
I don't know what would be exciting for me.
And I said to her,
Well,
What do you like to do?
And she went in solution mode.
She started telling me like roles and types of jobs.
I said,
Slow down because you're using all of your current experience and your thinking to try and solve this challenge,
Which is actually deeper than just like the job,
Way deeper than just the job.
So I said to her,
What is it that you don't like about this job?
And we started really getting deep at that point.
She said,
Well,
I'm not able to grow.
Number one,
I feel like I'm just on this,
On this like treadmill,
Just going round and round the days.
So I don't really feel motivated.
Number two,
So I don't get to really create anything exciting.
I don't really get creative in the work.
That's the number three.
She said,
I don't care about the job.
It is not something that's important.
And I mean that in the sense of like,
She said,
It's not like we're changing lives and stuff.
So that was the next thing.
And then the last thing was she said,
The people around in her work,
They have these mindsets and she gave me this whole story about it.
So I said,
What would you like to create?
And that question drew her off.
It's like a very curve ball question for everyone.
It's normal for me now because I ask it a lot.
If I was to ask you,
What would you like to create?
Most people are stunned and they're like,
Huh?
Create?
What do you mean create?
What would I like to?
And it's kind of like we go into this thing of,
Oh,
I have a choice and I can create something.
Because the mind is in the way.
The mind is a logical machine.
It puts barriers around creativity.
Doesn't let it in.
Because it's using everything we currently know to try and project the future.
It's like your AI.
You know,
It's like if you sign up for Amazon and you order some apples.
You order some apples four times,
Let's say.
So now Amazon will send you emails saying,
Hey,
We've got these deals on these apples.
Because it's gotten used to your habits.
Imagine you were eating apples every day for three years.
Just apples.
You would probably find it quite challenging to eat something else after that.
Because you've gotten into a habit.
And that's ultimately what thinking is.
It's a habit.
But unfortunately for us,
Because of the human experience we all have,
Right?
We've been eating apples in the form of thinking from our childhood.
So now we have this relationship with apples.
Now any time we see a pear,
We get excited because we think it's an apple.
Or if we see an apple that's gotten a strange colour to it,
Again we're lit up.
We're making associations constantly.
So that's what's happening with our thinking.
So when things have happened in our life,
So for example,
You've had like times in your childhood when you have not been confident,
Let's say.
You had some times where you were embarrassed or something like that.
Like me.
That's where it happened to me.
That's why I'm getting these examples,
Right?
Embarrassed as a kid.
Shy.
Felt like I didn't fit in.
Felt like I was the one that just didn't fit in.
And I just felt very anxious about situations because of it.
So these associations build and it builds this like thing that we now call a personality.
And personality isn't real.
It's just a collection of patterns,
Beliefs.
Because if you think about it now,
When you're out in nature and you're watching the sunset,
Where's your personality at that point?
It doesn't exist.
Think about it.
You're just in the moment enjoying this.
Your personality doesn't decide if you like sunsets or not.
Or if you like nature.
It's just within you.
Your personality doesn't decide if you have that kind of like belly laugh and you just have,
You know,
You laugh with friends.
And I mean when you're really having fun,
Right?
When you're actually really having fun.
It's not personality.
It's just within you.
Babies.
Babies laugh.
It's one of the first things they do.
Smiling and laughing.
They don't need a personality for that.
So why am I saying all this?
Because this is what I mean by life force.
If you can connect more with this life force as the first step or as a step,
And you build a relationship with that now instead.
Instead of a relationship with your thinking,
That's constantly getting reinforced and you're constantly believing it,
Constantly attaching to it,
Constantly using it to project in the future,
Saying,
Hey,
I've got this thing coming up.
Let me remember what I've,
Let me try and remember,
Remember.
Let me decide what to do by using thinking.
And then we get into overthinking because we're trying to use thinking as a tool for living.
It doesn't make sense.
And what do I mean by that?
Because you might be thinking,
You might be like,
Where are we now?
I'm lost.
You have a relationship,
Let's say,
For example,
With a person.
You're in a new relationship.
You haven't had great relationships in the past.
Let's just say that,
Right?
Or just one person in the past wasn't a great person for you.
So now you're on like dates and you're projecting the memory onto this new person.
And then you might see messages from them or like the way they're behaving.
And then you'll instantly project the data you've collected from the last person onto them again.
Or you'll be trying to predict like how they're going to act based on what you knew before.
And by the way,
I'm not saying this is all easy to get out of these things because this is just humans.
This is how we are.
I'm not trying to make this sound easy.
And I'm not saying there's like an enlightenment to get to.
Instead just having awareness of how is this interesting?
How is the psychological part of you influencing how you're living?
Because if you've had your whole year so far and now you think it's time to make a change,
Great.
But you have to be aware of like where is your mind getting in the way of the change you want to make?
And how can you build a connection to something that is beyond your psychological mind?
Like I said before,
Some people go to nature.
Some people do things like yoga.
That's what helped me a lot.
Massively actually.
Meditation,
Of course.
Something beyond the psychological mind,
Beyond like everything you've done so far.
How can you take this like line and break the pattern,
Break the pattern that's occurring?
Ultimately,
If you can break the pattern,
The line goes up and you have a new direction for your life.
So interruption using things like yoga,
Like I said,
Going into nature,
Becoming familiar with this life force.
And then when you feel a little bit grounded,
Again like I said,
You don't have to be in this like place of complete bliss and enlightenment before you make a change in your life.
Because that can be another trap that could occur.
You can go too far inwards and use the inward stuff like meditation as escapism.
That's what I did.
I went too in.
It was very helpful.
So I'm not saying it was a mistake or anything like that.
But there's also this existence of living in the outer world as well,
Right?
So once you feel a little calmer and you feel like,
Okay,
I'm ready to make this change,
Raj.
I'm going to do it.
And you're just buzzing for it.
Because I'm good energy with you.
Then I'd invite you to do this right now,
Actually even.
Do this right now.
Get a pen,
Paper,
Your phone.
And write down three things that you would love to transform in your life within the first three months of the next year.
Start with that.
Feel free to share in the chat as well.
It would be fun to see what you guys think of.
Three things.
You can even just write one in the chat for now.
That you'd like to reach.
Because it's possible.
Whatever it is,
It's definitely possible.
So don't be shy with yourself.
Don't come and say,
Oh,
Well,
I want to write this,
But hmm.
Yeah,
That's not quite possible.
Don't tell yourself.
Just write it like it's a game.
There's no pressure to do this.
It's just a game,
Right?
It's just,
Hey,
Three things that I would love to change.
Great.
Even if you don't ever look at this again.
So share in the chat.
I'd love to see.
Share one of these things.
Tell me what you'd like to change.
And I might actually give you some support right now.
Because usually we're unsure of like,
How do I do that?
The implementation.
We have the ideas.
We have the information in our head.
But it's the implementation part,
Which is the challenge.
It was for me,
For sure.
And for most people,
When I'm coaching someone,
There's all these ideas,
All this like excitement.
But yet the next part of it is how do I do that?
Making it happen.
So write down three things.
That you'd like to work on.
And this could be your inner world,
Outer world.
This could be,
Hey,
I want to write a book,
Raj.
Write a book.
That's a great one as well.
I want to do this kind of course maybe.
Or I want to do.
I want to go on vacation.
I don't know,
Whatever.
It could be you want to work on your.
Your relationship with someone.
It could be your expression of yourself.
I get that a lot,
Actually.
A lot of people message me about being able to express themselves.
That's a big challenge for a lot of people.
Confidence.
It could be something in your career.
It could be health related.
That's a big one as well.
So feel free to share.
To soften and love when my partner is not in their best self.
Yeah,
That's a good one.
Suffer and love.
Yeah.
That's real love.
When you can be the one who is ready to just let go of the fight.
Not fight at all.
To say,
Okay,
I see you.
I see you're in distress.
So I'm going to be there for you.
Right?
That's wisdom.
That's going beyond the psychological mind.
So that's a great one to practice.
Next one.
Use of my voice.
My intelligence.
My creativity.
I love that,
Rachel.
Those are some of my favorite things.
Voice,
Intelligence,
Creativity.
Yes.
And later you say,
I want to treat everyday normal things as a ritual.
Interesting.
Tell me more about that.
Sounds like you got some exciting things you're going to work on.
Nikki says,
Add mindfulness meditation to my daily routine.
Great.
That's a good one.
You know,
Even if you did,
I was going to come on to that in a moment,
Actually.
Commitment.
Even if you did like five minutes a day.
Like you brush your teeth.
Like the trick I told one of my clients was do it before you brush your teeth.
Because then you have a cue.
You have like this pattern in place because then you know meditation and then brush teeth.
It's a really clever way to trick yourself.
Or not trick yourself,
To program a habit almost.
So before you brush your teeth,
Meditate.
Or for me,
It's I'll brush my teeth,
I'll shower and then I will meditate and do yoga after that.
So I know after I shower,
I do my thing.
I start.
And I don't do anything else.
It's been my habit now for a while,
For a few years.
It just works.
I can't,
I can't like miss it now because I enjoy it so much.
It's not a chore.
It shifts the day completely.
And journaling already you wrote as well.
And Nikki as well.
Yeah,
Nice.
Morning and night.
Yeah,
That's also a great thing to do.
If you're challenged by thinking a lot,
Journaling for even 5-10 minutes as well.
Like I said,
Get stuff out on paper.
There's something about pen and introspecting.
It's really useful.
That will help you own your yurt for sure.
And also number 3 will be the healthiest and happiest version.
Yeah.
Health is underrated.
You know,
We think that we have to realize that this stuff is like a,
It's like you know the inside of a watch has cogs that move each other.
Health is like health and I'm talking about foods and general wellbeing,
Sleep,
You know all of that stuff,
The physical body.
That stuff is so important because it's the base for all of this other stuff.
If you're exhausted and you haven't eaten good food and you're just overworked and you're not moving your body,
It's going to be very challenging to become present and work on the deeper parts of yourself.
It's going to be very challenging.
I'm not saying it's impossible.
Like where I am now in my development,
I don't need much sleep.
I wake up and I get energized.
But that's only happened over time.
And because I'm eating good foods.
But yeah,
I still have to look after the body.
And I'm not saying extreme stuff by the way.
I used to run.
I used to do a lot of running.
I used to do a ton of yoga.
I used to lift weights.
I used to do CrossFit.
I used to do everything.
That was actually how I got my balance done.
And it's over cure.
It's actually not useful to over exercise.
It just destroys your body.
So there has to be a balance.
It's a harmony.
It's like an orchestra.
A bit of this,
A bit of that.
And then the music is amazing.
Make your life musical.
Make it like an art.
That's the way I started living my life.
Making it like an art.
Harmony,
Musical.
A bit of this,
A bit of that.
A splash of this,
A splash of that.
And it's simpler.
Instead of like extreme stuff.
A bit too much of something is not useful,
Right?
If I was to journal all day long,
It wouldn't be useful.
If I was to do.
.
.
You get the gist.
So,
What else is coming up for you guys?
Let's have a look in the chat before we continue.
I want to shut up,
Someone says.
Yeah,
That's also a good one.
You know,
Listening is one of the greatest things.
Listening and being more silent.
I have some clients who are really like fiery energy.
They just got a lot of energy.
And most of the time they come to me because they want to slow down more.
Actually,
Most people come to me because they want to slow down.
That's one of the things they want.
Because there's a lot of reactive living.
Doing this,
Doing that.
Running around.
Rushing,
Rushing.
The mind's rushing.
The mind's like.
.
.
We're sent into action so quickly before we even become aware of what we are doing.
And that was also me,
By the way.
Rushing around.
Seeing days pass by,
Weeks pass by.
So,
Yeah,
If you want to slow down,
It's going to help a lot in every aspect of your life.
Nina says,
I would like to find direction.
Yeah,
I like that you use the word direction.
That's a great way to think about it.
And you can find direction,
For sure.
Like,
It's simpler than you think,
Isn't it?
It's like finding this compass.
And the compass says,
Go that way.
Instead of it being this analytical task.
Now,
I'm saying task very consciously.
Because tasks are like,
Hey,
I've got to find the final answer to this.
And there's only like one answer.
I have to find this by using my thinking,
By analysing everything that I've done,
Analysing what is out there in the world.
Analysing,
Analysing.
Using the computer system.
And I've tried that.
I've tried like finding my purpose.
This whole thing about finding your purpose.
And there's all sorts of charts out there.
And people are using Vedic wisdom for this kind of stuff to find their life purpose.
And then reading the stars and saying,
Oh,
The astrology says that this is what I'm meant to be doing.
And there's actually practitioners out there who are giving people like these readings and saying this is what you are meant to be.
And then the person doesn't feel like it suits them.
And then all this questioning comes up.
And it's too much.
It's too much.
It's the mind at play in all of this stuff.
I'm not saying some of that stuff is useful,
By the way.
I think it's good to give you some information.
But that information doesn't decide for you.
You decide.
It comes from you.
It's like if I was to say to you,
Hey,
Because you have brown hair,
You have brown hair and blue eyes and you're this hyped and you were born on this date.
You are destined to be working in a coffee shop.
You must do this.
This is your life part.
If you're going to listen to all my information,
You're going to get,
You're going to become deluded by it.
You might actually believe me.
So be careful with information.
Listen to guidance instead.
The compass.
So if you want some support with figuring this stuff out,
Nina,
Send me a message.
I've done this a lot with people and there's like within an hour,
We might be able to help you find your direction that you've been looking for.
Or even less.
Who knows?
You know,
Depends what happens.
Any of you guys,
If you're if you're struggling with anything and you're challenged by anything and you,
You kind of like you've been looking for stuff for a while,
Kind of like how I was looking for years and years,
Like asking friends,
Looking on the Internet,
Looking at all of these like informational things,
Charts.
But that wasn't what I needed.
I needed to find like.
Find that compass inside.
I needed to find the truth.
And that's simpler than you think to find.
So anyone wants some support,
Drop me a message here on Insight Timer.
Or connect with me on Instagram or Facebook or something like that.
We can just Google me and I've got this form and I've got this link tree page and there's this form there where you can just send me a note,
An email.
There's a bunch of ways.
Yeah,
Just get in contact because.
I love helping people move past their challenges because my whole life I thought there was no way to get past mine,
Basically.
And I didn't talk to anyone because I was like,
Yeah,
I need help.
No,
No.
This is just what life is.
Life is just like this.
I'm just anxious.
Yeah,
This is just how everyone's life is.
And I talk to friends and then they'll tell me about their complaints about life.
And we'll just be,
We'll just turn into one big complaint bubble together and we both won't get anywhere.
And that doesn't mean like,
I'm not trying to make people sound like they are constantly complaining.
But that's what I was doing.
I was going to the wrong people for support.
I was going to people who couldn't help me because they were also facing these challenges.
They haven't gone past them.
So my invitation is to get in touch and I'll help you in some way or another.
I've got a bunch of resources that I made around this topic,
Around overthinking.
I've got like videos,
I've got articles.
I kind of just went nuts for a few months and just started making stuff that I knew would be helpful for people.
So whenever someone says,
Hey,
I'm challenged by this.
And some of you guys know because we've been speaking.
I'll say,
Hey,
Watch this thing.
Check out this article I made.
And more often than not,
Like there's been people who've said,
That brought me tears and now I feel like I know what to do.
Sometimes we'll just have a conversation and we'll,
You know,
They'll get moving with their life.
So it's an invitation.
All right.
What else is coming up?
I want to treat.
I've read that one.
Try to live as much in the present moment rather than future tripping or replaying the past over and over.
Yeah.
When you're really in the present,
Nothing can stop you from that place.
Because.
You're slowed down to the speed of life.
You're at the same speed of life.
You're not trying to beat life.
We spend a lot of time trying to beat life.
But when you become present,
You can really look at,
OK,
This is my next year coming up.
What would be fun and amazing to create?
And this is what I do for myself.
I'll get present.
I'll say,
What would be fun for next year?
Well,
There's this thing I want to do.
This,
This,
This,
This.
I'll just make this wish list.
I'll make this wish list of things.
And I did this last year.
And.
Yeah,
I basically got to that place.
Because I've stayed focused.
I run like.
60 events this year.
It's more than that.
I think it's like 100.
And that's because I said to myself the year before,
I'm going to run an event every week.
Now I just did it.
That's all.
Just committing to it.
There's something that didn't get done,
By the way.
But it's your intention.
It's just you getting your thoughts out on paper,
Being imaginative,
Imagining like.
Next year was the best year of my life.
These things would have happened.
Being into the future.
Saying the end of next year,
This time.
We will have an event.
I'll go to Raj's event,
If I'm still doing them.
And we'll talk about it.
What happened in your year?
What did you say you would do?
What did you actually do?
And remember it's a game.
It's when we get pressure about how will I do that?
I need a 100 point plan.
I need to plan out every day.
That works for some people,
By the way.
It doesn't for me.
Because anxiety.
I've been having anxiety most of my life.
I don't like to be in.
I don't like to create boxes for myself.
I like to have visions and direction and things that excite me.
And then just work.
Work on those things.
But be with my energy in each present moment.
Making things small.
Small steps.
So do that exercise.
That's my challenge for you.
At the end of this call,
Get one piece of paper.
Just like an A4 piece of paper.
Write down,
End of 2022.
What will have changed for me?
What would I have created?
Just write it all down.
There's been some people who I've challenged to do this,
Right?
And they've messaged me and said,
Raj,
Look,
This is the list.
Because they want me to keep them accountable.
Or just like they want to put it out into the world.
And say,
Look,
I did this.
Instead of it just being with themselves.
So you can do this with a friend even.
You can say to your friend,
How about we both do this together?
And we just write down our goals for the next year.
And then send it to each other to keep ourselves.
Like just to speak it to someone else.
Just say it.
Send it to someone.
Send it to me.
Send it to whoever.
Just make it real.
Do the exercise.
And there's no need to overwhelm yourself with this.
It's a game.
You just play the game.
You can even set fire to the piece of paper straight after if you want.
You can say,
Oh look,
That's cool.
That would be fun if I can do that.
You can set it on fire and forget about it if you want.
Just get into that mode of imagination.
Because anything is possible.
As cheesy as that sounds.
Next thing after that,
Make commitments to yourself.
I'm very heavy on commitments.
When I'm having a coaching client or mentoring someone,
I will ask them,
Can you commit to doing this?
To me it's like a powerful bond when someone puts a commitment into the world.
Kind of like in the old days when a knight would go to the queen or king.
Let's say the most honourable knight.
He will put his sword and he'll say,
I'm making a commitment right now.
It's with deep honour.
When you make a commitment and you stick to it,
You're honouring yourself.
And you're allowing this life force,
The universe,
God,
Whatever it is,
To hear that.
You're communicating it to that.
And you know that that will support you.
And that's when you really make a commitment.
When you really feel it.
You'll feel it in your heart because this energy,
Whatever you want to call that,
Is connecting to you.
It's going to help you through this.
So that's why I think commitments are so powerful.
I never tell people to commit to something that's unreasonable.
I like to make this simple and easy.
Sometimes I'll say,
Can you commit to these actions for the week?
These 1,
2,
3 actions.
And my clients know now that they're going to do it.
Because it's not like I'm forcing them to create these commitments.
We're both co-creating.
We're saying,
What can you commit to?
Okay,
This,
This and this.
And if that keeps on happening in your week,
Imagine what you will create by the end of the year.
It's ourselves that stop ourselves from doing things usually.
We just have this get out clause of,
Oh I was tired or this or that.
If you make a deep commitment to say,
I really want to change my health.
If I really,
Really want to change this relationship.
If I really want to get over this anxiety stuff.
Like deeply,
Instead of just talking about it.
Do I deeply want this?
And you do whatever it takes.
For me it hurts so bad that I was pushed.
I was pushed to change.
I used to go into work meetings sweating,
My hands sweating.
And I couldn't like talk to anyone.
So it was just torture for years.
Torture.
So I got into health and fitness.
And that gave me this way out temporarily.
I felt calmer.
And with that I kind of built this like hunger for,
Okay I don't actually have to feel anxious all the time.
And I got into spirituality,
Personal development.
Then I went travelling and stuff for a little while.
I've just been on the path.
Slowly,
Slowly,
Slowly.
To be fair,
I wasn't really focused or knew what I was doing.
I didn't have anyone to support me.
I was just like trying things and then I would go off.
And I'd do like half assed efforts sometimes.
But as soon as,
Like in the past few years I'd say.
The last two,
Twoish years.
I've deeply committed.
And I've seen like exponential progress.
So what I'm trying to say is.
In three months,
Six months.
You can see massive change occur.
There'll be times where I'll have a few sessions with someone.
And they'll say to me.
My whole life has shifted.
Because we've interrupted a pattern.
Life has been going this way.
We put something there.
Kind of like one of those skateboard ramps.
And then.
Boom.
Life has shifted.
It's easier than you think.
So these are just words by the way.
These are just words.
But if you're feeling what I'm saying.
Then hopefully you can start creating your next year.
Hopefully you can start creating your next year with enthusiasm.
Hope.
Not even hope.
Forget hope.
Faith.
Faith is better.
Knowing there's something on your side.
Committing.
Doing some things.
Like I'm not saying you have to stop your life and become a yogi.
I'm saying just doing something.
A little bit at a time.
Constantly.
Over time.
And yeah,
Writing your vision down.
Like I said to you today.
Write down what you want.
Implementation is the hard part.
So I've been talking for a while.
Let me know what's coming up for you.
How are you feeling at the end of this?
How are you feeling?
And we will end this soon.
If you have any questions.
I'll maybe take a question or two before we finish.
Put something in the chat.
Was this useful to you?
Did you get anything out of this time?
Do you feel anything as we finish this?
Because sometimes I know,
Right?
I have no idea.
Unless somebody actually,
Like I start talking to someone after this.
So feel free.
Connect with me on Instagram.
Raj Garcia.
I have a list of books there as well.
So you can check out like a hundred books that I recommended throughout the year.
It's like a mini review.
I've got a video series on there as well about the ego.
I've got stuff around the body and how to use the body.
So check out my page Raj Garcia.
You can also Google my name and you will find.
This is Linktree.
Linktree slash consciousness.
And on that page you will find tons of stuff like podcast episodes.
You will find a page with a bit more about my story.
You will see some travel photos.
You can contact me from there as well.
There is a bunch of stuff on there.
So check me out.
Alright guys.
Any more questions?
Let me just check what's in the comments.
Questions or comments?
What did you get from today?
What are you leaving with?
My invitation is for you to get a piece of paper.
Write down some things from today.
Or write down what you'd like to create next year.
Even write down what's in the way of that.
What your challenges are.
Yeah just write some stuff that's coming through you.
It's the best way to get it out on paper.
Alright.
Thank you Jules.
I appreciate that.
A lot of people tell me about my voice.
It's funny because sometimes that's the first thing people say to me.
So I appreciate that.
And that's a part of it.
That's a part of this.
Like slowing down.
Being in that place of calm.
Before you rush into creating stuff.
Because you know the whole world of personal development is so much about do do do do do.
Do this,
Do that.
Create your goals.
Create your life plan.
Create this and that and that and that.
It's too much.
It turns into a problem.
It turns into you're getting more stressed.
So the key is slowing down first.
Becoming present.
And then working on your goals and your dreams.
From that place of calm.
Then your mind's not in the way.
Right?
So,
Ok.
I'll leave it at that.
Your anxiety was the root cause.
I don't know to be honest.
Root cause is a challenging.
.
.
Hmm.
That's challenging for me to answer.
If I was to answer it in a quick way I would say self esteem challenges.
Feeling rejected.
That was what was there at the bottom of it.
Feeling rejected as a human.
Feeling like I couldn't fit in.
I wasn't aware of this for most of my life actually.
I just thought,
Ok,
Anxiety.
You know the surface level anxiety.
I feel nervous,
Confidence and you know the usual stuff we see.
But underneath all of it was like this fear of abandonment,
Rejection.
That kind of stuff.
So I hope that answers your question.
But yeah,
The work I had to do was realizing that that was the story.
That was the psychological part of me.
So connecting to the other part of me was very important in my process let's say.
Because otherwise you can get stuck in this mode of like this is what happened to me.
This is who I am.
I'm this person who this happened to.
You know the story of it.
And that's traditionally where psychotherapy focuses on.
Whereas when you're working on energy,
Life force,
Your spirit,
This is so much more powerful in my experience.
So much more powerful.
You don't need to play with this story game all day long.
Like I still do that and I still do that with clients.
It's still important but I think it's ascending above the story.
And you can only do that in spirit.
Alright guys.
I'm not going to cover this again.
I think this is the last session of the year.
I might actually do one next week.
Because I'm going to be taking some time off.
Probably not actually.
I don't know.
You might see a surprise session from me next week.
Who knows.
But if not this is the end.
And in the end I wish you a great Christmas.
Blessings.
Have fun.
Enjoy.
Be with whoever you like to be.
Slow down.
Feel your heart.
Feel your aliveness.
Be excited for the next year.
Don't worry about the pressure of Christmas and New Years.
What I do on New Years.
I've had anxiety around that for many years.
Like freaking out.
So that's what I want to share with you.
Just be excited for the next year.
It's going to be fun.
Start your next year.
As soon as possible.
Don't let yourself get distracted and fall into the trap of Oh I'll wait until January ends.
I'll wait until February.
I'll wait.
I'll wait and then you're in next year.
No.
That's not living.
Alright.
I'm going to leave it at that guys.
Yeah.
Florian.
Write your 22.
And I'll probably speak to you later.
And I'll speak to some of you guys later as well.
And yeah.
I'll be posting some stuff on my Instagram soon.
There's a bunch of exciting stuff coming from me.
I'm excited.
So check it out.
Alright guys.
Have a good one.
Speak soon.
