Welcome to this meditation where we will be connecting to the nurturing energy of trees.
If you have access to a tree you would like to meditate with,
You can sit against the tree with your spine connecting to the trunk or you may wish to rest nearby the tree in the shade of the branches and leaves.
If you don't have any access to a tree,
You can simply visualize being surrounded by trees in any setting that you feel drawn to in this moment.
When you are ready,
Bring yourself into a comfortable position,
Close down your eyes if you wish and notice the feeling of being connected to the earth.
Feel the sensation of this connection,
Lengthen your spine and release the shoulders.
Start to take a few rounds of deep breathing to ground yourself,
Taking long deep breaths in and as you let go on the exhale,
Feel that you are releasing anything you are holding onto either physically or energetically from your day back to the earth to be transmuted.
Breathing in deeply and exhaling completely,
Then allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Now invite all parts of you back to yourself,
Welcoming the in with warmth,
Love and acceptance.
Bring your focus on the tree and feel a sense of connection to the tree,
Really see and feel the tree and invite the tree to join you in this loving connection.
Notice how this feels welcoming in the energy of the tree and drop any guards and allow the tree to see you,
All parts of you.
Feel the unconditional love and warmth from the tree as it connects with you deeply.
The tree sees your true nature,
You don't have to hide,
Prove or strive for anything,
You can just be.
Feel the beauty of the unspoken language of the tree.
If you feel called to here,
You can set an intention that you are open to receive and release what you need to receive and release in alignment with your highest good.
Now feel yourself connected to the earth and feel your energetic roots in the ground,
Feeling your own root system connecting,
Weaving and intertwining with the roots of the tree to nourish you in this practice.
Ground your roots deep,
Deep,
Deep into the core of the earth.
Notice how you feel resting here in the core of the earth.
And now balance this with an openness rising up,
Up through your spine and out through the crown of your head,
Connecting above,
Rising higher and higher and higher,
Connecting to the energy of the core of the sun and feel into the balance of grounding down and rising up.
Notice how it feels to receive from below and above,
Taking in the energy of deep presence,
Strength and stability.
As you continue to feel the balance of energy from the earth and the sun,
Bring this energy to meet in your energetic heart and now connect with the tree's energetic heart.
Feel the loving,
Warm energy exchange flowing between you and the tree.
Breathe this love in on the inhale and breathe out the exchange of love on the exhale.
Breathe in the love,
Notice how it feels,
Allowing it to fill every cell in your body.
And breathe out the love and notice how it feels to spread your love towards the tree.
Spend some time in this connection,
Breathing in and breathing out the mutual love.
Now repeat a few more cycles and then allow yourself to be in stillness with the tree.
Feel a merging with the vibration of the tree.
Your breath,
Your rhythm in tune and merging into oneness with the tree.
Now in this place of oneness with the tree,
You can ask is there anything I need to know in this moment.
It may be a word,
A feeling,
A symbol,
A message.
Thank any wisdom that comes through and if nothing came to your awareness,
Know that is fine.
Remain open and trust any wisdom or guidance will be revealed at exactly the right moment.
And start to bring this practice to a close with the understanding that this connection never truly ends.
As you are one with the tree in your true nature and you can connect with the wisdom at any time.
Thank the tree for sharing this practice with you.
As you prepare to move forward in your day or evening,
You might like to hold the intention to stay connected to the tree's energy throughout.
The tree doesn't rush or strive,
Simply is.
It grows patiently in rhythm with the earth.
No matter what it does,
It is enough and you are enough.
Thank yourself for taking the time to strengthen your presence and connection.
Start to deepen your breath.
Bring your awareness to the sounds around you.
The sound of your breath.
And then slowly make some gentle movements with awareness to the body.
You can gently open your eyes.
And take a moment to take in your surroundings.
You can connect with the tree in any way you feel drawn to.
Perhaps hugging it with appreciation.
Or placing your hands on a part of the tree with childlike joy and wonder.
