Listeners can expect to travel back in time, visualizing a difficult experience and reframing it in a way to heal from their past. This is a way to calm the nervous system and rewire the neural circuits in the brain to heal from traumatic and difficult experiences. This is a very loving and comforting meditation that helps listeners to practice self-compassion, healing their inner child. Ricko Hill: Executive Producer Ben Thomas: Music Compose

I want you to find a comfortable seat,

Preferably lying down,

Closing your eyes,

And melting.

Bringing your attention to the breath,

Inhaling,

Allowing your belly to just float up,

And exhale,

Just let it fall.

Remind yourself that you are safe.

Whatever memories come up,

You can handle it.

I want you to choose one stressful or traumatic event from your past,

Just revisiting it in your mind,

Noticing what happened from a safe distance,

Almost as if your older,

Wiser self was just observing what happened,

Continuing to breathe,

Knowing you are safe.

This event can't hurt you anymore.

It's in the past.

Notifying your reactions to this event,

Labeling any emotions that arise,

Calling them by name,

Maybe there's fear,

Worry,

Shame,

Or sadness,

Whatever it is,

It's okay.

It's perfectly normal to have these difficult emotions,

Given what you've been through.

Just allow them to be there,

Observing them from a distance,

Without judgment.

I want you to picture that older,

Wiser self,

Putting your arm around your younger self,

And comforting them.

Remind your younger self that you are safe.

Speak to your younger self with compassion.

Tell them what they need to hear.

Remind your younger self that this is not their fault.

All of their emotions are perfectly normal.

Just let go of these emotions for now.

Breathing in,

Allowing your belly to rise.

Breathing out,

All of the difficult emotions.

Just release for now.

Long,

Slow exhale.

Letting go of fear.

You are safe.

This trauma cannot hurt us anymore.

We can heal.

This trauma will not contribute to any sensations in our bodies.

Notice as you let go of fear and worry,

You feel any softening in your body,

Knowing there is a connection between these intense emotions and our physical sensations.

Notice what positivity has come out of this difficult situation.

You are stronger.

You are more resilient because of what you've been through.

Sending yourself compassion,

Loving kindness,

Knowing you are healthy.

You are strong.

You are safe.

Breathing in a sense of gratitude.

Breathing out fear.

Breathing in a sense of hope.

Breathing out fear.

What happens on the outside,

You are safe inside.

Taking one last cleansing breath.

Your longest,

Slowest deep breath in you've taken yet.

Filling your lungs with fresh,

Clean air.

And then letting it all go.

Breathing out every last drop of air.

Back into the room,

Feeling renewed.

Namaste.

So healing 💘 been struggling for a while with PTSD with being in the same bed with someone. I worked through some painful moments and can feel my body releasing some old stories. Thank you, angel 😇 💜

It worked so well, to tell my younger self it is normal to have difficult feelings and that it is oké. I love it!
