When The Noise Falls Away....

The are so many moments in our day when the noise of our lives is so loud, we cannot find the peace within. Every so often, there are moments in which the noise ceases. In those fleeting moments, who are we? What do we do, or what do we no longer need to do? This piece is for the reflection of time away from creating. This piece is in honor of moments of being.

Kids will be playing. It may be one, It may be several. Cartoonish sounds will fill the room and requests for water refills and individual snack packages will come. But right now, There is none of that. Phone applications will go ring and various chimes will go off for various messages. Some important, Most inconsequential. But right now, There is none of that. The urge to consume media looms in the internal programming. The myriad of options is approaching the infinite. But thankfully, Somehow, Right now, There is none of that. All that is here, And now, Is being here, Now.

Love this. I was trying to fall back asleep this morning but stuck in my own head. I decided to listen to what was around me - and then I heard the quiet. No HVAC, no cars, no dogs barking, not even a bird singing (a bit odd, tbh) …and I was out for the next two hours. The power of hearing and listening to what’s around us is incredible. Thank you for this meditation.
