Hello and welcome to Purely Being Meditations.

Today our meditation is a daily living meditation.

And daily living meditations are designed to take the principles and practices of meditation out into your daily life.

And so they're created to be listened to on the go as you work,

Cook,

Clean,

Exercise and move about your day.

Today our theme is slow living or what I lovingly call turtling.

And it's a conscious decision to slow down and be so present with how you feel,

Where you are and what you're doing in the moment.

What moving slowly does is it allows us to see and savor our life as it arises.

And by slowing down and tuning into the beauty of the present moment,

We allow ourselves and our energy to come into alignment,

Which is that state of clarity and natural well-being.

And from there you can move quickly or slowly or just be still.

But knowing all the while that your mind and body and spirit are aligned and any actions or thoughts or choices made from this place come from a place of love.

And so in the spirit of slow and conscious living,

Wherever you are,

Whatever you're doing,

Just take a moment to pause and breathe in and out.

One more time just like that,

Filling your belly,

Sipping in a little more air at the top and then letting it go with a sigh,

Releasing any tension and really arriving in your body where you are.

Let's just take a moment to check in with where you're at and we'll start with the breath.

Just notice where you feel the breath most vibrantly in your body,

Perhaps in your nose or your chest,

Maybe your belly or your ribs,

Your back.

Just becoming conscious of the breath where you are,

Noticing and letting it be okay.

And now checking in with your body.

Are there any areas of tension or tightness?

Are you holding or clenching anywhere?

Is there any place or space in your body where you can consciously choose to let go or soften?

Just honoring where your body is right now,

Letting it be okay.

And checking in with how you feel,

Getting an overall sense of your emotions without needing to label anything or get to the bottom of anything.

Just being so present with your overall emotional state in this moment,

Noticing how you feel and then bringing your awareness to the sensation of that feeling in your body.

Just observing it,

Not trying to change or control it.

And just rest here where you are,

As you are,

Feeling what it feels like to be you right now in this moment.

Rest into that sense,

There's nothing to change,

You can simply exist as a human aliveness,

A wholeness,

A completeness,

A sea of energy and presence and sensation in this moment.

Take a long,

Slow,

Conscious inhale,

Feeling your belly expand and exhale with a sigh,

Let it all go,

Let yourself completely relax.

One more time,

Breathing deeply into the pit of your belly,

Filling your lungs and exhale slowly releasing all the air from your lungs and coming to a place of inner stillness for a brief pause.

For the next 15 minutes,

You'll hear a chime every minute and when you hear the chime,

Slow down and become aware of what you're doing,

Your movements,

The quality of your breath,

The rhythm of your heart,

How it feels to be you in the moment.

I'll guide you with prompts for the first five minutes and then leave you in silence to move and interpret slow living in your own way for the final 10.

Just allowing each chime to serve as a reminder,

Just slow way down and become present with your own self and the world around you.

All right,

Let's begin.

Slow your breath,

Letting your inhales be long and luxurious and your exhales even longer.

Let your breath move through you without any effort or strain.

Using the slow conscious breath to awaken your mind,

Your heart and your senses to the aliveness of you in your now.

Slow your movements.

Move like molasses.

Even slower.

See if you can even take pleasure in your movements,

Pleasure in your breath,

In the subtle and finer movements of your body.

Start slowly turning the corners of your mouth upwards,

Noticing the pleasure of your own smile in your body and just being.

Breathe and begin to notice the sounds you can hear around you.

Be present with what you hear and see if you can listen deeper for the subtleties and finer tones within each sound you hear.

Wherever you are,

Come to a place of stillness and as you do,

Let your gaze soften into your peripherals and become gently present with what you see.

Notice what's drawing your attention most.

See without the need to analyze,

Label or judge.

Let all things simply exist and be as they are.

Slow your words,

Your thoughts.

Let the space between your thoughts expand.

Let everything expand into infinite space.

Become timeless for a moment,

Aware of emptiness,

Nothingness.

Be nourished in the pause.

For the next 10 minutes,

Use the chime to slow way down,

Become present with how you and the life and beauty that exists all around you.

This awareness occurs only if you are just not within yourself.

You you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you inhale and exhale notice how you feel now perhaps a little more relaxed present in the words of Lao Tzu nature does not hurry yet everything is accomplished life has its own perfect harmony a rhythm and perfection which we are all infinitely a part of the more permission we give ourselves to be natural just slow down and tune into our hearts authentic truth the more this rhythm balances and harmonizes us aligning us with the highest and most embodied aspect of ourselves joyful free alive all that's required is that we slow down and tune in listen feel be namaste you you
