Welcome to this meditation,

A meditation to help relieve anxiety surrounding the coronavirus and to boost immunity.

This is not meant to be a treatment for any kind of sickness or illness.

This meditation is here to help you feel at peace in a time that is uncertain.

Uncertainty is scary,

It is unknown,

It's a place where we may find fear.

This meditation will help you tap into that part of you that is calm,

That is at ease.

Tap into that place in you that may allow you to rise as a pillar of calm for your community,

For your family,

And for your friend groups.

This is a time to tune into your body.

Find the most comfortable position that you can for this short amount of time.

I want you to see if you can tune in.

Now things are going to come up during this time,

Emotions,

Feelings.

And as those things come up,

I want you to really recognize that they are coming up.

Maybe asking,

Is this necessary?

Is this helpful?

Is this useful?

The answer is yes,

Maybe exploring that.

But if the answer is no,

And simply kind of coming back to the sound of my voice.

Starting with taking just a breath in,

Breathing in,

Letting it fill the darkest places within you,

Expanding through your ribs and heart,

And releasing that breath.

Maybe letting it visualize it coming down over your knees,

Down over your feet.

Breathing in for three,

Two,

One.

Now hold at the top.

Three,

Two,

One.

Now release.

Three,

Two,

One.

Hold at the bottom.

Three,

Two,

One.

Breathing in,

Three,

Two,

One.

Now hold at the top.

Three,

Two,

One.

Now releasing.

Three,

Two,

One.

Now hold at the bottom.

Three,

Two,

One.

And just following this cycle of breath on your own now.

Maybe counting it to yourself or just sort of recognizing the length of your breath and just tuning in to this cycle.

Maybe beginning to feel your shoulders becoming comfortable if you're laying down.

Or maybe you just feel your knees falling to the side if you're seated.

Let's take this opportunity to tune in to your own healing.

As you're breathing in and releasing,

Ask your body to relax.

If you were to ask the question,

Can you please relax?

Can you release tension?

Body,

Please.

Can you please relax?

I want you to visualize now the doorway.

The doorway can be of any color,

Any shape,

Any size.

I'd like for you to look at and see the color of this doorway.

The scratches that may be happening around the sides of it.

Maybe the color of the paint chipping off and the paint underneath.

The color of the doorknob,

The knocker.

This is your door and no answer is wrong.

Now as you imagine this doorway,

I want you to see a sea of blue around it.

This may be sky,

This may be ocean,

This may be lake,

But a sea of blue around this door.

This sea of blue is your consciousness.

The waves that come and go,

The clouds that pass through it,

The ripples that you see in this sea of blue are your thoughts.

As thoughts come and go,

I want you to not finish the story,

Not follow the clouds,

Not follow the waves,

But continue to focus on the sea of blue.

Standing present at your door,

I want you to open that door and take a look what's behind it.

You will notice there are 10 steps going downward.

With each step,

Your body will become more and more relaxed.

You will feel more and more at ease.

You will hear my voice guiding you into this journey and only hearing my voice.

I want you to take a step on this 10th step,

But as you take a step,

You'll notice there are words written upon this step.

The 10th step,

It says,

I am safe.

You start to feel your ankles becoming heavier,

Your feet becoming heavier,

Just hearing my voice coming into this moment.

You take a step down,

The 9th step.

The step has written upon it,

I am at ease.

Start to feel your knees become a little heavier,

Your thighs becoming heavier.

As you walk onto the 8th step,

You see the words,

I am at peace.

Your hips becoming heavier,

Just hearing my voice and your body becoming so relaxed,

Becoming calm.

As you begin to descend down the stairs,

You step on the 5th step.

It says,

I am exactly where I need to be.

Feeling your hips begin to become heavy and feeling comfortable on the surface below you.

I want you to imagine if you can,

Bringing a smile to the back of your stomach,

Just if you were to be able to allow the back of your internal organs to smile.

What would that feel like and what would that look like?

As you step down into the 4th step,

You notice the writing that's upon it.

It says,

I am my own healer.

You're feeling that smile that's behind your stomach now shifts to the smiling behind your heart.

What would that look like?

What would that feel like?

As you descend,

You go down the 9th and one last step as you get all the way to the bottom of all 10 steps.

The words,

Just as we began,

I am safe.

You're feeling the back of your head becoming light,

You feel your jaw unhinging,

Your brow unsquinting.

We are putting our bodies into a restful healing mode.

In a place where we can receive our own healing,

Where we can relax the nervous system.

When we are not at ease,

Our immune system cannot work at its most optimum level.

Now as you reach the bottom of the stairs,

I want you to imagine a lush green and colorful garden.

Visualize the energy that's coming off the plants from the sunflowers to the bright red tomatoes to apple trees and oranges.

I want you to imagine as if you could feel this warm energy as you walk through this sea of color.

Imagine the nutrients that are on each fruit,

Each vegetable,

Each with purpose to feel your soul,

To fill your belly and to boost your immune system.

As if you could bring those nutrients into you just by simply walking by or touching them.

Maybe even tasting a few of them.

Strengthening our own resiliency by being a part of what Mother Nature is giving us as our medicine,

Our nutrients,

The rays from the sun.

And stepping into this place that is away from fear but closer to our own love.

See,

The opposite of fear is not courage.

The opposite of fear is love.

As we walk through this sea of color,

You're feeling your entire body is radiating with this energy that Mother Nature is sharing with you.

And as we take some perspective on infection and viruses,

They are not selective.

They are not picking one person over another and it is not about weakness or strength.

But is it the strength of the virus or the strength of the host that makes that infection possible?

I want you to think about that as you feel the energy of all these plants and all these vegetables and fruits and think about them strengthening your immune system,

Not only physically but your mind is now feeling stronger.

You know that you are capable.

You know that you can heal yourself.

You know that you have fought off other infections,

Other colds,

Maybe even the flu.

You are resilient.

I want to introduce a mantra that you can use times when you are feeling maybe not as strong,

When you are feeling anxious,

When you are feeling maybe a little stressed.

My immune system is powerful and effective.

No disease,

Virus or bacteria can ever disrupt the natural flow of my body.

My immune system is powerful and effective.

No disease,

Virus or bacteria can ever interrupt the natural flow of my body.

My immune system is powerful and effective.

No disease,

Virus or bacteria can ever disrupt the natural flow of my body.

Allowing those words to become part of your subconscious,

Allow them to be part of your truth,

Not something someone else has,

Someone who maybe has better genetics or is more in shape.

No,

These are for you.

Your own self-love,

Your strength of your mind allows you to be the most powerful human that you want to be.

We cannot control some things in our world,

Things that are uncertain.

We cannot control our news.

We cannot control the conversations that others have.

However,

We have the ability to control what we ingest as truth.

What is your truth?

When in doubt,

Turn back to this mantra.

Recognizing that your immune system is powerful,

It's effective.

It is your state of mind that may weaken,

But you can always come back as you feel this own self-love,

As you tune into your own healing.

Turning back towards the garden,

I want you to see this vast sea of color,

This abundance of fruits,

Vegetables,

Animals.

There is no lack here.

Just as there is no lack here,

There is no lack within you.

As you pass by this field of colors,

I want you to feel its energy and its love for Mother Earth.

It wants to feed you.

It wants you to be healthy.

It wants you to tend to this garden.

Coming back to the stairs,

As we make our ascent back,

Feeling strong,

Feeling powerful,

Take a step onto the first step.

You'll notice now that we're looking at it from the other direction that you'll see some words written upon them.

First step says,

I am strong.

You're feeling so powerful.

The next step,

I am amazingly healthy.

As you step up to the next step,

Maybe turn and look over your shoulder,

You almost see the leaves waving at you,

The leaves from the trees.

You can feel this warmth on your back,

These nutrients flowing through your body.

You feel so alive.

You feel so incredibly powerful.

As you ascend the stairs,

You see that on the fifth step,

It says,

My immune system is so effective.

As you move up,

Only four stairs left.

The fourth step says,

My anxiety does attach to my body,

But it does not control me.

Stepping on the third step,

I am in control of my emotions and I get to decide how I feel today.

As we step on the second and final step,

The final step says,

In times of uncertainty,

I am guided by my own internal whispering into a place of safety,

Into a place of health,

Into a place of my own self-love.

Looking up to the door,

Take one final look over your shoulder at this sea of color,

Knowing you are safe,

You are healthy,

You are happy.

You are exactly where you need to be in this place of ease.

Now open the door,

Walk through it,

And close the door behind you,

Back into your reality,

Back into this place that you are in charge of.

Namaste.
