Hello and welcome,
It's Rachel.
Today we'll do a meditation working with the breath and visualization.
We'll work with the energy centers,
The chakras in the body.
So simply now preparing by coming into a comfortable position.
You can do the practice lying down,
You can do the practice seated.
It's not really a posture specific practice so as long as you're comfortable please come into a comfortable position.
And begin to feel the support of the earth beneath you.
The sense of the meeting points between your body and the support beneath you.
And begin to sense a force much larger than you.
You can't see it,
You can't grasp it but it's undeniably there.
This gravitational pull,
This earth's embrace.
And feel that support and feel like you can lean into that support beneath you.
Like you're lying back into the arms of someone or something that you trust with your life.
She's always there,
She's got you.
And the practice today is coming from the sacred land of the Meri Meri clan,
The Wurundjeri people of the Eastern Kulin Nation here in Bhuvad Guru season,
The grass flowering season.
Take a moment to acknowledge the sacred land you're doing this practice,
The season that you're in that surrounds you,
Your life.
And we call on those that love us unconditionally to bear witness to our practice today.
Those that have walked this path before us,
The ancients with their wisdom.
And begin to notice how nice it is to just simply take a breath in as you breathe in.
How nice it is to just simply breathe out as you breathe out.
A sense of I am breathing in,
I am breathing out.
I am breathing in,
I am breathing out.
And feel yourself find a steady,
Comfortable rhythm for your breath.
And bring your attention to the base of your spine,
The resonance,
Vibration,
Just the texture,
The quality,
The base of the spine.
And feel,
Sense or simply intend there's a golden thread from the base of your spine that grounds you down into the earth beneath you.
And begin to sense that as you breathe in,
The breath arises from the earth beneath you and returns back to the earth in this cyclical motion of the inhale,
The exhale.
Like a receiving and a giving,
Giving and receiving.
And feel like you're breathing to the base of your spine,
Where you might just let your attention rest with the resonance,
Vibration at the base of your spine.
And with your focus here,
Visualize,
Sense,
Feel or simply intend there is a four-petalled flower at the base of the spine.
You might sense the resonance of a bright red energy like ball or wheel.
Here at the base of the spine.
And then here for your next four breaths,
Opening the petals of this four-petalled flower at the base of your spine,
Opening a petal to the north,
Opening a petal to the south,
Opening a petal to the south,
To the east,
To the west.
The next four breaths,
Petal by petal,
Breath by breath.
And as the petals open,
A resonance of grounding,
Of stability,
Of connection to tribe survival.
I am grounded.
And as we move from this Muladhara,
Base chakra,
Follow up along the spine to the centre of the pelvis.
And here like you're breathing to the centre of the pelvis,
So you might sense resonance here,
Vibration.
Just let your attention rest at the centre of the pelvis.
And here sits a six-petalled flower.
And here begin to allow the petals of this flower to open over the next six breaths,
Opening again to the directions and above and below each breath,
Petal by petal.
And you might sense an orange resonance colour through the pelvis.
Each petal awakens your capacity for creativity,
Your sexuality,
Pleasure,
Fertility.
And as the petals open,
The six petals of Svadhisthana,
The sacral chakra,
Begin to follow up along the spine to the solar plexus,
Just above the belly button,
Below the ribcage.
And let your focus be here.
You might sense that you're breathing to the solar plexus,
Or you might just let your focus,
Your energy,
Your awareness,
Or you might just let your focus,
Your attention rest here at this energy centre,
Manipura.
And here sits a ten-petalled flower.
And here,
Breath by breath,
Petal by petal,
This ten-petalled flower begins to open.
And you might sense the golden,
Yellow,
Like field or ball of energy flower.
And as you open the petals for the next ten breaths,
Breath by breath,
Petal by petal,
Awakening your willpower,
Inner confidence,
Your personal power.
And as the ten petals open of the Manipura chakra,
Begin to take your attention upwards to the heart space,
The centre of your chest,
The heart centre.
And here at the centre of your heart,
The centre of the ribcage,
As you let your attention rest here,
You might sense that the breath is breathing to the heart,
Or you might just let your attention rest,
Your focus,
Your attention,
At the heart space.
And then sense,
Feel,
Visualise,
Or simply intend that there is a twelve-petalled flower at the heart space.
And for some,
You might sense like a pink colour resonance or a green colour resonance through the heart space,
However it may appear to you.
Maybe as a flower,
A twelve-petalled flower,
Maybe as a ball of energy,
Just open,
Receptive,
Being curious.
And then here for the next twelve breaths,
Petal by petal,
Breath by breath,
Allowing the twelve petals of your heart chakra,
Anahata,
To begin to open breath by breath.
And here as the petals open,
It increases your capacity for love,
For compassion,
For emotional balance,
Gently allowing the twelve petals to open of the heart chakra.
And with the petals open,
Anahata,
Moving up the spine to the centre of the throat.
And here you might just sense the breath at the centre of the throat,
Or just allow your attention to rest right at the centre of the throat.
And here we find a sixteen-petalled flower.
It might be the colour,
A bright,
Radiant blue.
And breath by breath,
Petal by petal,
The petals for Shuddha,
The throat chakra,
Begin to open.
Helping your capacity to speak clearly,
Helping all forms of communication,
Your self-expression,
Allowing you to speak your truth,
Petal by petal,
Breath by breath.
So with all the petals,
The throat flower opening and blossoming,
Begin to take your attention up from your throat to the eyebrow centre,
The third eye chakra,
The Ajna chakra.
And here with your attention here or focusing your breath,
Breathe two conscious breaths,
Opening this two-petalled flower at your eyebrow centre,
Opening to each horizon,
Opening your intuition,
Your insight,
Your perception,
Your psychic awareness.
And then with the petals open at your third eye,
Take your attention upwards to the crown of your head.
And here sits a many-petalled flower,
A thousand-petalled flower with all the colours of the spectrum like white liquid diamond light.
And here breath by breath,
Petal by petal,
Beginning to open the petals of the flower at the crown of your head,
Sahasrara,
The crown chakra.
And here breath by breath,
Petal by petal,
Awakening your flower opens you to your spiritual connection,
Opens a pathway to enlightenment,
Allows you to experience unity with all that there is and all that there ever will be.
Breath by breath,
Petal by petal.
Breath by breath,
Petal by petal.
And here gently letting go of the practice,
A sense of returning back to your own natural breath.
And here with all of your chakras open,
Receptive and aligned,
May you carry this energy of alignment through your day.
Thank you for joining me.
All the blessings.
