Hi,

My name is Corey Quinn and today we're going to be doing a guided visualization that I call At the Park with Your Child.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable place to sit.

Your eyes can be open or closed.

And we'll begin by taking three deep breaths.

And as you exhale,

Let out a small sigh.

Sighing is a signal to your body that all is well.

First breath in.

And release.

Second breath in.

And release.

Third breath in.

And release.

If you haven't already,

Go ahead and close your eyes.

Now imagine yourself at a playground for kids at a park.

It could be a local park or maybe your favorite park that you grew up going to.

It's a perfect day out.

The sun is out and there's a gentle breeze.

The feeling in the air is one of calm and peace.

You can see a few kids playing on the recreation equipment.

You may see a child sliding down the slide.

One or two swinging on the swings.

Maybe another playing in the sand.

And you can hear the joyful sound of the kids playing and enjoying the day.

As you watch this scene of kids innocently playing,

You notice a feeling of love and peace come across your body.

You deepen this feeling of love by taking in a deep breath now.

And release.

As you do,

You hear a child calling your name.

You recognize this voice as the voice of your child.

You see them emerge from the playground as they walk towards you.

You notice that your child has a big loving smile as they approach you with open and inviting arms.

You embrace your child with a warm hug and you both hold the embrace for a few seconds.

As you do,

You feel the love in your body expand out to enclose your child as well.

With the both of you enjoying this loving energy surrounding you,

Your child whispers a message to you in your ear.

This message could be a word or a phrase.

This message is a gift from them to you.

Receive this message from them now.

Once you do,

Repeat this message back to yourself silently.

Then repeat it again.

Now take a deep breath in.

And release.

Thank your inner child.

And you see them return to the playground for more fun.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.
