My name is Corey Quinn and I'm going to take you through a guided meditation that I call Fun Run.
We'll begin by taking three breaths and as you exhale release any tension that you're holding in your body.
First breath in and release.
Next breath in and release.
Third breath in,
Hold it and release.
Go ahead and close your eyes if they're not already.
Now with your eyes closed let's do a scan of your body so that you can get a sense for how your body is feeling right now.
Starting with your head and going down past your eyes,
The muscles in your face,
Your jaw,
Tongue,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your upper arms,
Lower arms,
Your wrists and hands and fingers,
Your chest,
Your back,
Your torso and your abdomen,
Your hips and your upper legs,
Your lower legs,
Your ankles and your feet and your toes.
Now that you're aware of how your body is feeling,
I want you to imagine that you're standing on a beach.
You can see the ocean and the shoreline right in front of you.
You're wearing a comfortable lightweight shirt,
Running shorts,
Running socks and running shoes.
Standing there you can smell the salty air.
It's a sunny and beautiful day.
It's warm but not too warm.
It's a perfect day for a jog on the shoreline.
You can feel the sunlight on your arms and your legs as it warms your skin.
As you look up the coast along the coastline,
You begin to jog at a moderate pace.
As you do,
You feel an ocean breeze kissing the skin on your face.
You notice that your muscles and your legs feel warm and your body feels strong.
You begin to smile as you begin to feel a wonderful and powerful connection between you,
The ocean,
The sun and the birds in the sky and the fresh air that you're breathing.
This feeling of connection in your body as you're jogging along the shoreline grows and it transforms into a warm light that glows and emanates into all parts of your body.
This light transforms into an energy of love and power emanating across your entire body and begins to expand outside your body to include the ocean,
The beach and everything around you.
As you feel this amazing energy surrounding you and in you,
You slow down your jog and eventually stop running and then you turn to face the ocean.
You begin to realize that the ocean has been around many more years than humans have and that it has seen many more things than we have.
The ocean is old and very wise.
You raise your arms above your head and silently ask the ocean to give you a message,
A special gift of wisdom that is especially for you.
Take a deep breath in and release and as you do,
The ocean whispers a message into your ear.
Hear that message now.
Having received this message,
You silently thank the ocean.
Take a deep breath in and release.
Repeat that message that you received back in your mind three times.
Take a deep breath in and release.
And now when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
