I'm going to invite you to find a comfortable position.
Let your body begin to settle in the chair,
Allowing yourself to give yourself permission to take up space.
There are parts of your body that need to spread out a little bit to be comfortable or hang a little bit more loosely.
Let yourself do that.
Let yourself notice being really held by the furniture that you're sitting in.
Let yourself also notice where contact is taking place between your body and something else.
Let yourself notice where you can sense clothing and where you can feel your skin happy and free.
Take a few breaths and as you do,
Let yourself become aware of the backside of your body.
You may even notice it with the sensations of your breath as your back and the back of your ribs expand and perhaps make more contact with the furniture you're sitting in.
But also there's your seat and back of the legs.
And now you'll let your attention move and notice the front of your body.
All the way from the top of the head,
The face,
Down the front of the limbs,
And the whole central part of the body.
And now take a moment to also observe where you perceive the edge of you to be the perimeter of you.
You may sense that within the outline of your body,
But people often sense it also beyond that perimeter extending a little bit farther out.
And on that more energetic level,
Let yourself also take up space.
Taking three or so more mindful breaths and then slowly and gently bringing your awareness back.
