And welcome to this good morning meditation created to start your day off with a sense of purpose,
With gratitude,
And with intention.
Maybe you're still in bed.
Maybe you're up and moving about.
Whatever you're doing,
Take a moment here to find a comfortable position,
Either lying down,
Sitting up.
Make it comfortable for you.
See if you can make yourself about 5% more comfortable.
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Feel the air come up through the belly,
Through the ribcage,
Through the top of the chest.
Hold for a moment,
And open your mouth,
And exhale.
Empty the air from your chest down through the ribcage,
Down through the belly.
One more time.
Big inhale in,
Fill up the belly,
Through the ribcage,
Through the top of the chest.
Feel the heart opening,
And open your mouth,
And empty,
Exhale the air out of your wide open mouth.
One more time,
Big breath in,
Fill up,
Feel the air circulating through your body,
Nourishing the body,
Feel the air coming up through the ribcage,
Through the top of the lungs,
Cracking the heart open.
And this time,
Seal your lips and slowly exhale through your nose.
Feel your body starting to be more settled into your support system.
Start to notice the calmness that's entering your being.
Starting your day with a meditation gives you the opportunity to set the tone for your day,
Gives you a chance to be mindful,
To be grateful,
And to have some control of what you let enter your energy space.
Now let's dive deep into a body scan.
Starting at the top of your head,
Bring all of your awareness to the top of your head.
Then to your forehead,
Take all of the awareness to your nose,
Your jaws,
Your ears,
Your mouth,
The inside of your mouth,
Your throat,
The neck,
The shoulders,
The chest,
Heart center,
The right arm,
Right thumb,
First finger,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Your right hip,
Thigh,
Knee,
Front of the knee,
Back of the knee,
The shin,
The hamstring,
Your ankle,
Right big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe.
Gently glide your awareness to your left side body,
Left arm,
Left finger,
Left thumb,
First finger,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Left hip,
Left thigh,
Knee,
Front of the knee,
Back of the knee,
Shin,
Hamstring,
Ankle,
Left big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe.
Let the entire body relax deeply into the surface that is supporting you.
Feel yourself being breathed,
Reminding your nervous system in this moment that you're safe,
You're supported,
And it can be at ease,
Allowing your mind to calm,
Calming the fluctuations of the mind,
Bringing union to the mind,
Body,
And soul.
Take another deep breath in through your nose,
Hold at the top for just a moment,
And exhale,
Empty the lungs,
Everything out.
Find something in this moment that is not serving you,
And release it.
Take another breath in,
Fill up,
Feel the air circulating through your body,
Nourishing your being,
Nourishing the heart space,
And exhale,
Empty,
Empty,
Empty,
Releasing tension,
Releasing stress,
Releasing anxiety,
Finding peace,
Finding calm,
Finding ease,
Creating new energy to start this beautiful day on purpose,
With purpose,
And with intention.
And as you move through the rest of your day,

And with peace in your heart space.
