Good morning.

This is Petrina.

Thank you for being here with me this beautiful morning.

I invite you to try doing this meditation for at least 30 days and see how just about 5 minutes can have a huge improvement on your well-being.

Let's begin.

Gently close your eyes and make yourself comfortable.

Maybe you're still laying in bed.

Maybe you're seated on a cushion and couch.

But make yourself as comfortable as possible wherever you are.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

Hold at the top and exhale out of your wide open mouth.

Empty,

Empty,

Empty.

Another breath in through your nose.

Hold it at the top for just a moment.

Open your mouth and exhale everything out.

Empty,

Empty,

Empty.

Another breath in through your nose.

Hold at the top.

This time seal your lips and gently exhale the air through your nose.

When you're ready,

Allow your natural breath to take over again.

And then draw your awareness to the center of your chest,

Your heart space.

And imagine a beautiful light forming in your heart space.

Pick whatever color is calling to you.

Maybe multiple colors.

Something you like.

Something that resonates with you.

Now imagine that this light is infused with gratitude.

Feel it radiate through your entire body.

Maybe you think of an experience,

Something that you are grateful for.

Maybe a family member,

A loved one,

A pet.

Anything that brings that feeling of gratitude to your body.

And notice what it feels like when you're thankful.

Now imagine that light radiating from your heart space and moving through your entire body.

Feel it reach all the way down to your toes.

And then take this moment to appreciate your feet and all they do for you every single day.

Now draw that appreciation up through your legs.

Through your joints,

Through your hips,

Your back,

Your belly.

Think about all these organs and how they work together every day without even just a single thought.

A conscious thought from you.

Now draw the appreciation up through your chest,

Through your shoulders.

And then all the way down your arms,

Your hands,

Your fingers.

And again,

Feel the appreciations for your hands and all they do for you every day.

Now bring that light of gratitude up through your throat.

Feel gratitude for your voice,

Your senses,

And how they interact with the world around you.

The sounds,

The sights,

Your taste,

The smells,

The touch.

Appreciate your beautiful mind,

Beautiful body.

Feel gratitude for all that is making it possible for you to be here in this moment.

Take another breath in through your nose.

Hold at the top.

Open your mouth and gently exhale everything out.

Breathe in.

Breathe in.

Hold.

Breathe out.

Empty,

Empty,

Empty.

Know that each interaction that you have today will lovingly be touched by the calm that you've just cultivated.

By the peace,

The light you've just created in your being.

Now draw the gratitude back to your breath.

And feel yourself recharged,

Renewed,

Content,

At ease.

And ready to move through the rest of your day with love,

With kindness,

And with compassion.

For you and for everyone around you.

May you be happy,

May you be healthy,

May you be well.

The light in me sees and honors the light in you.
