Hi,
And welcome to this meditation practice for balance and renewal.
Just like the inhale and exhale of your breath,
We cannot breathe out or give too many times without inevitably needing to breathe in or receive in order to replenish and renew.
So this meditation is a practice to rebalance ourselves through our breath,
To welcome the harmony of giving and receiving.
Let yourself settle into a comfortable position.
Let the spine be straight,
Placing your hands either in your lap or at your sides.
Allow your eyes to gently close or rest your gaze on a spot in the room in front of you.
And simply begin to notice your breath as it flows into your body and out again.
Simply notice what it feels like to breathe naturally and begin to ease yourself into this sacred,
Still place where your body is relaxed,
Your mind is clear,
And your spirit is ready.
And bring your attention to your head,
Just noticing any sensations at the crown of your head.
Moving down into the forehead,
The brow area,
And the area around your eyes,
Just see if you can invite in some relaxation here.
Moving down into the cheeks,
The mouth,
And the jaw,
Perhaps allowing your lips to part slightly if that feels good to you.
Again,
Just inviting in some relaxation here.
Moving down into the neck and the tops of the shoulders,
See if you can invite in some relaxation into this area by dropping your shoulders away from your ears.
Moving down and relaxing your arms,
Your hands,
Your fingers.
Let them be heavy in your lap or at your sides.
Feel your chest,
Stomach,
Hips,
And legs become heavy with relaxation.
Feel the weight of your body and the support of the surface beneath you holding you in this space.
And if thoughts begin creeping into your head at any point calling for your attention,
Simply notice them and gently return your awareness back to the rhythm of your breathing,
Concentrating on its simple rhythm,
In and out,
Allowing your whole body to be gently rocked and internally caressed by your breathing.
Let your breath bring you in deeper into this moment and watch as everything else dissolves around you.
Any thoughts,
Fears,
The to-dos,
Let them fade away into the background as you find oneness with your breath.
Breathe in and receive,
Breathe out and give.
This is our mantra to find harmony,
To find renewal,
To find balance.
Breathing in fully now,
Imagining that what you're receiving fills you completely,
Filling your mind,
Body,
And soul.
Breathing out all the way to the end of the exhale,
Giving yourself to the world.
Breathe in and receive,
Breathe out and give.
Imagine that with every breath in,
The air fills every part of you that needs replenishing,
Every part that craves wholeness.
Imagine that with every breath out,
You're releasing a bit of yourself,
Giving to the world around you,
Feeling the harmony and balance of this beautiful cycle.
Breathe in and receive,
Breathe out and give.
Rest in balance and harmony here.
Find peace and renewal in the equilibrium.
You are whole,
At peace,
And in harmony.
And as we come to the end of this practice,
Bring your awareness back to the space around you,
Noticing any sounds inside and outside of the room.
Notice the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you,
And notice how you're feeling.
Take a deep breath in and exhale fully.
Begin to bring some gentle movement back into the body.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
Thank you so much for joining me in this practice today.
I hope you have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
