Welcome dear one.
This meditation is part of the Reclaim Your Worth series,
A gentle journey back to yourself,
One step at a time.
You can move through these meditations in order or simply return to the one you need in any given moment.
Today,
We gently begin to explore what it means to take up space.
So take a moment now to settle into a comfortable position.
Allowing your body to feel supported.
And if you feel safe to do so,
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
And just begin by noticing your breath.
The natural rhythm of breathing in and breathing out.
Allow your breath to anchor you here in this moment.
There's nowhere you need to go nothing you need to do.
Just you in this space.
Give yourself permission to simply be.
Now slowly begin to bring your awareness into your body.
Noticing where you're being supported by the chair or the ground beneath you,
Feeling the weight of your body.
And as you breathe,
See if you can allow your body to soften.
Just a little more.
Relaxing your shoulders You're too.
Your face.
And now gently begin to notice where in your life you may have learned to make yourself smaller.
Maybe it shows up in what you say or what you don't say.
Maybe it shows up in holding back your thoughts,
Holding back your needs,
Holding back your voice.
Maybe it shows up in trying to keep the peace or not wanting to take up too much space.
There's nothing to analyze here,
Nothing to fix.
You're just noticing.
And as you continue to breathe See if you can gently bring your awareness back into your body.
Notice your posture without forcing anything,
Just allowing yourself to sit a little more openly.
Allow your chest to soften and gently expand.
Allow your spine to lengthen in a way that feels natural,
Not forced.
And as you sit here,
See if you can begin to imagine.
What it might feel like.
To take up space without apology.
Not in a loud or forceful way but in a quiet,
Steady,
Grounded way.
A way that says,
It's safe for me to take up space.
You might gently repeat yourself.
I don't need to make myself smaller.
And again I don't need to make myself smaller.
Let those words land softly,
Without forcing them to feel true,
Just allowing the possibility Now bring your awareness back to your breath,
Feeling each inhale creating a little more space within you.
And each exhale allowing you to soften into that space.
Breathing in space Breathing out softness.
There's nothing you need to prove.
Nothing you need to earn.
Your presence is already enough.
Stay here for a few moments.
Resting in your breath.
In your body.
In this quiet sense of space.
And just notice what it feels like to allow yourself to take up a little more space.
Even here.
You're not forcing anything.
You're not changing anything.
Just a quiet awareness that you are here.
As we come to the end of the meditation Begin to gently bring movement back into your body.
Wiggling your fingers.
Your toes taking a slightly deeper breath and slowly when you're ready opening your eyes.
Take a moment before you move on.
Notice how it feels to simply allow yourself to be here.
If you'd like to continue,
You might explore the next meditation in the 7 day series where we gently begin to notice and soften the voice of not feeling like you're enough.
But for now,
I invite you to stay with yourself exactly as you are.
Namaste
