Hi and welcome to our guided meditation.
This guided meditation will help you settle the mind and prepare you for sleep and allow you to come to a place of calmness.
Let us begin.
Find a comfortable posture laying down in your bed or whatever is comfortable for you.
Try to relax your body to release all the tensions.
Focus on your breath.
Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
Take a few full breaths.
Continue to breathe slowly and softly.
As many of us do,
As soon as we lay down in bed,
We start to think about all sorts of things.
The mind begins to race and after a full day,
The mind can be louder than usual.
Taking a few moments to meditate will slow down the race and will quiet the mind.
Inhale your lungs with air and when you exhale,
Feel how your whole body softens.
If you find your thoughts wandering,
Know that it's okay.
Thoughts are normal.
They come and go.
Gently notice them and let them pass by,
Focusing on your breath.
Your mind will eventually become still and calm.
Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
Allow your shoulders to fall away from your ears.
Allow your body to release all the tensions of the day.
Feel your feet fall apart,
Resting.
Try to rest deeply in your posture.
Inhale and exhale.
Let your body sink further into your position,
Breaking out any tensions.
And then come back to your breath.
Feel your chest arise with each breath.
You are already half to sleep.
Continue to focus on your breath throughout the rest of this meditation.
