Hello,
My name is Paola Pissou and I would like to welcome you to this session in which the season of autumn,
In the form of a beautiful,
Powerful chestnut tree,
Whispering to you all kinds of positivity,
Upliftment and wisdom to guide and support you.
In letting go of what has long served you well,
In letting go of what belongs to the past,
In letting go of what you specifically want to let go of,
With the purpose to reflect and to create space so that you can start something new.
And at the end of the session,
Or much earlier,
Being completely still in a deep healing sleep,
Dreaming of what you've reaped in peace,
Harmony and balance.
A bountiful harvest that you can take with you and carry out from the moment you awaken.
A harvest that you can take with you and carry out as you allow yourself,
In a state of deep peace,
To overwrite your existing patterns and habits.
And take advantage of all the benefits this offers you.
For autumn is the season to let go.
The falling of the leaf so beautifully illustrates the symbolism of the theme of autumn.
Autumn,
With moments when,
Often quite unexpectedly,
A sun softer than that of summer,
Through which you absorb the nourishment and energy that these days give you as a reserve for the time to come.
And the rainy days,
That are so much a part of autumn,
Tell you that you can let go,
As the clouds turn into full falling drops.
As an example,
That you also have the opportunity to release whatever you may.
Similarly,
The trees dropping leaves and fruit seem to be encouraging you to ask yourself which leaves you can let go of and which harvest you may enjoy.
You can explore,
As the days grow shorter,
What is no longer energizing you or what is masking you,
That may be masking who you really are.
That what you want to shed,
Because it's lost its meaning for you.
Autumn,
With its ever-shortening days,
Is the time to close the curtains early,
Light the candles and look inside to reflect in silence.
Before we begin to relax and deepen in a moment,
You can set an intention on what you want to release and what you want to transform.
So that you can take that intention into this session,
After which it will resonate for a long time and support you in achieving what you desire and strive for in the time ahead.
Then,
You may close your eyes and take a few deeper,
Calmer breaths.
Check for yourself that you're lying gently and comfortably on the surface on which you're resting.
For this session,
It's best if you can lie stretched out on your back,
Your feet about 30 centimetres apart and your arms relaxed at your sides,
Away from your torso,
Palms facing up.
Be aware of the support underneath you and notice how you slowly and surely begin to let go.
With each exhalation,
As nature does in autumn,
Just let go.
To deepen your relaxation,
I will ask you to open your eyes and stare at any point in front of you.
After a few seconds,
I invite you to close your eyes as you breathe out.
And as this happens,
Allow yourself to sink deeper into repose.
Now,
Open your eyes and stare at a fixed point in front of you.
Without blinking,
Stare while breathing calmly,
Even if you feel the urge to close your eyes.
Leave them open for just a few seconds and stare at the point in front of you.
Be aware of your next inhale,
Exhalation and slowly close your eyes.
And allow yourself to sink further into the depths of relaxation.
Let yourself go all the way.
Just relax.
You may open your eyes again and stare at that one point without blinking an eye.
Stare while breathing calmly,
In and out.
You may feel like you want to close them.
Resist this.
Just leave them open for a while and focus on the point in front of you.
Be aware of your next inhalation and as you exhale,
Slowly and deliberately close your eyes.
And let yourself sink deeper into calmness.
Go ahead.
It's allowed.
It's okay.
For the last time,
Open your eyes and concentrate on this point in the dark.
And keep your eyelids open as they grow heavier and heavier.
Keep your eyelids open for as long as you possibly can.
And the more you relax,
The more you notice that it's getting harder and harder.
And the urge increases.
You feel the urge increasing to drop these increasingly heavy eyelids and you just close them.
And so you do as you breathe out.
Letting go of everything and letting yourself fall deliciously deep into leisure.
Just keep letting go.
Releasing tension with each exhale.
And relax.
Just relax.
Relax.
How the muscles in your body loosen.
With each breath you let go.
Gradually relaxing.
More and more.
And as you continue to do this in silence,
Imagine that you are walking in a forest in autumn.
You're surrounded by all kinds of trees of all shapes and sizes,
Proudly displaying their autumnal splendor.
And they seem to be happily dropping their leaves.
And it is as they are falling from the sky,
Leaving the air filled with the scent of autumn.
And meanwhile,
A faint sunlight gently shines its light.
Its rays shine between the branches.
And around you,
All around you,
The colored leaves swirl down,
Playfully and slowly.
And as you slowly breathe in and out,
Think to yourself that each leaf that falls from the branches is a piece of tension that you are releasing.
With each inhale,
Fill your body with peace and calm.
And with each exhalation,
You are letting something go.
Letting go of it like a leaf falling from a tree because the time is right.
Notice how the leaf falls calmly without any hurry.
It's carried.
It's carried by the gentle wind.
And it floats gracefully,
Already swaying,
Floating lightly to the earth where it lends elegantly.
And imagine,
Imagine for the next few seconds that your tensions and worries are just like these leaves.
Releasing them with each exhalation just like those leaves.
And effortlessly,
Without any resistance,
They swirl down,
All the way down,
Cradled by the wind.
As they spin playfully,
Swaying slightly in the process before falling lightly to the ground.
In this way,
Each breath helps you to relax more deeply,
Just as the tree lets go of its leaves,
Without any effort.
Let go of everything that has lost its meaning for you,
That which you no longer need to hold on to.
You can and do let go of everything you want to say goodbye to.
The leaves that once belonged to the tree now whirling completely free and effortlessly,
As if to show you that you too can be free by freeing yourself.
You can free yourself from things that block you,
Tension or worry that holds you.
Release,
Let it swirl up and away,
Each time you exhale.
With each inhale,
Fill your body with peace and calm.
And with each exhalation,
You are letting something go,
Just letting it go.
With each inhale,
Fill your body with peace and stillness.
And with each exhale,
You are releasing.
Leaves that were once part of the tree are now whirling freely and effortlessly.
That's how free you can feel,
Like the tree,
Free of everything you have been holding on to.
Like the leaves resting on the ground,
You feel yourself resting ever more calmly and heavily on the surface where you recover and lie relaxed.
As if you were deeply rooted,
Firmly in the earth.
While your breathing becomes steadier and calmer,
It's easy to hold and experience feelings of relief.
Notice the stillness and peace in your body,
As if it's preparing for its winter rest,
Just as the forest does.
Let everything just be and give yourself all the space you need to rest comfortably.
With your eyes closed,
Your breathing naturally calms down and slows down.
While your body gradually becomes more relaxed.
In addition to your body already feeling so much more at ease,
Your mind can also relax by letting all thoughts escape.
And you can do this by using a special image,
As if a film were playing before your eyes,
Where you're both the director and the protagonist.
In this film,
Imagine that you're holding a jar of honey,
The lid is screwed shut.
The honey is a beautiful golden brown and comes from a hive from a hilly area where the hard-working bees have visited the flowers that guarantee this beautiful,
Fragrant,
Healthy golden brown honey.
And the honey is still stored in the jar,
Just as thoughts are stored in your head,
Just as your head is filled with thoughts,
Big and small,
Wandering around.
And imagine,
Imagine now that you masterfully open the lid of this jar.
You hear a short click as a sign that it has clicked open.
Then you begin the opening movement along the glass thread.
And when you lift the lid,
You can see the beautiful,
Shiny honey.
Then you hold the jar at an angle,
And a little more at an angle,
And slowly,
Very slowly,
The thick,
Shiny substance begins to move.
The honey starts to flow,
Slowly and steadily,
In slow motion,
As if time is slowing down.
And just as the honey slowly slips out of the jar and flows gently,
So your thoughts begin to flow out of your head,
They leave your mind.
Each thought flows away effortlessly,
Slowly,
Steadily,
And without haste.
As you inhale and exhale calmly and remain in stillness,
You feel your head becoming lighter and calmer with each ounce of honey that leaves the jar.
The golden brown goodness slides down smoothly,
And as the honey leaves the jar,
So do your thoughts,
At a calm pace.
They float,
Just let them go.
You don't have to do anything,
Just let the honey flow,
Just like your thoughts,
Just let them flow away.
In this natural,
Gradual process,
Slow and gentle,
As each thought is released from your mind,
Feel yourself being filled with peace,
While the honey continues to flow.
Peaceful and in touch with your calm flow of breath,
Allow the honey to take all thoughts away from you,
And you're now briefly aware of the emptiness and stillness left behind.
As if your head is now filled with a calm peace that invites more,
There's nothing left to think about,
Just a deep,
Relaxing,
Calming stillness in which you reside.
Allowing space to take in all the autumn whispers,
And to know and acknowledge that your subconscious mind,
Which is always listening curiously,
Will pick up what is meaningful to you and infallibly picks out what you can use to your advantage.
Quietly listen to the autumn whispers and let yourself be carried along farm tracks into the woods,
Enjoying all of the beauty that surrounds you.
And finally you arrive,
And before your mind's eye appears a wild chestnut tree,
Several meters high.
You approach it and touch it with the palm of your hands,
And make real contact with the dark brown trunk,
And see and feel a pattern.
It seems as if the bark is peeling off,
As if the tree is releasing something,
After which you look up and notice that the tops are out of sight.
There's still so many leaves to fall,
And still so much rich harvest in the form of chestnuts hanging proudly from the tree in their green prickly protective shells.
And then you look down,
To where the trunk grows into the ground,
Where the spurs of its roots fan out.
You realize that roots can go quite deep,
And that it all started for this tree with a single fruit that eventually took root,
That grew straight down like a peg that anchored this tree firmly anchored to the ground.
And now it's as if the difference between you and what autumn is whispering to you is fading away,
And you feel connected with the root of the tree,
Feeling it,
That part of this beautiful,
Powerful chestnut tree,
The taproot so deeply embedded in the ground,
As if you are the whole tree,
Which gives you a rock-solid confidence,
A confidence that is reinforced by an extensive network of horizontal lateral roots that provide the chestnut with stability,
Additional firmness.
And you know how stable you are on the ground,
The conditions are perfect to rest and grow,
To rest and grow,
As if you yourself were a chestnut tree that grows in fertile soil and has faith.
Trust in the unspoken natural cooperation with the earth,
How the earth nourishes the tree together with the rain,
The sun,
And the essential role of insects in fertilizing the flowers,
How all this,
Together,
Forms a network,
A chain of links where one serves the other.
In all naturalness they are connected with each other in a magnificent logical whole.
What an abundance,
And this insight is one of many that the chestnut tree has to offer you,
Whispering things to you while you inhale and exhale quietly.
The tree whispers to you about autumn,
Which is intimately connected with your inner life.
Autumn is a time of transition from warmth to coldness,
Autumn is a time of transition from warmth to coldness,
From long days to shorter,
And from full daylight to more twilight.
Changes outside of you that affect you,
In which autumn teaches you that you can release.
Just let go and surveying the harvest of the past,
To make space for that in a reflective moment,
And to look within,
To take stock,
As an invitation to be happy,
Grateful for all that has been achieved,
And to look at it as a kind of stock you have collected,
A resource,
A treasure trove of wisdom that you have gathered through experience.
Acknowledging past experiences as a harvested crop,
The rich consequence of living fully,
Experiencing,
And now pausing for a moment between the seasons to move from silence and peace into winter.
The chestnut tree whispers,
Or is it the whisper of the wind?
Of the wind that blows past the leaves and makes them move,
Until they let go and let themselves fall,
Trusting that they will land softly.
Trusting that they will land softly.
And you know they dare to let go,
Because their role is finished,
And a next stage awaits them.
And the tree lets go of what has done its work,
That which had meaning and value.
The task is finished and everyone moves on,
As the falling leaf which leaves the tree,
As a sign for you too that you can release,
To reflect on what you can let go of,
That which has proven its value to you.
Or let go of those unhealthy,
Unnecessary habits that weigh too heavily on your shoulders,
Or blocking thinking patterns that you would like to say goodbye to,
Like the chestnut tree shedding its leaves.
Just as this tree,
Completely unencumbered and without judgment,
Drops its leaves,
To make room for the new,
With the prospect of growth and blossom.
Among all the leaves,
The chestnut tree proudly bears its fruit,
In its protective,
Proud,
Bright green shells.
There it stores its harvest,
Its efforts of days and months.
And it is in the autumn that she presents her fruits,
Now that it has reached maturity.
Much like inner growth,
Are lessons learned that can be cherished in gratitude.
Like inner growth,
Are lessons learned that can be cherished in gratitude.
It's often so much more than you ever dreamed of.
A sign of prosperity and abundance.
A tree full of lush chestnuts in abundance,
Losing count as you go to count them,
Like all your treasures and blessings,
When you let them pass in the stillness of autumn.
All the seeds of your fervor,
If you do them justice,
All the seeds of your fervor,
If you do them justice.
Remain in peace,
The peace you can find in your breathing,
Calm and very peaceful,
In and out.
Softly murmuring,
Breathing,
Almost like a whisper,
In and out,
In and out.
In balance.
And autumn begins,
The chestnut whispers,
With the moment when day and night are in balance.
In balance,
It's day as long as it's night,
As a kind of starting signal that you may take stock of your inner life,
To take stock.
Just as the days are getting shorter,
As the days are getting shorter,
An encouragement from Mother Nature to turn inward and see.
Observe where you are and how you got here,
By what you've chosen to do,
By who you are,
The chestnut encourages.
Search,
Explore and find the depths of your heart and soul of wisdom and patience,
For that too grows steadily,
For everything needs space to ripen.
And take from me,
The chestnut whispers softly,
What I have learned from my deep-rooted existence,
My long life and my memory,
Which I wish may inspire you and nourish your faith in any process.
For every end holds a new beginning,
Which is an essential part of being.
You breathe in and out quietly,
Anchored firmly in your bed,
The ground on which you live,
Like the great chestnut tree with which you may feel at one.
Allowing yourself to be aware of the harsh wind,
Blowing along the great branches,
Moving the leaves,
And they go,
The leaves leave the tree,
Full of abandon,
Whirling playfully.
Whirling playfully,
As the wind takes them along for a while,
They let go,
They just let go,
As an illustration of how you can let go too.
Releasing,
With every leaf you see falling before your mind's eye,
You let go,
And you alone know what you are releasing,
What you are saying goodbye to.
How wonderful,
Do you hear the tree whispering,
Or is it the wind?
How inspiring to give up tirelessly,
Incessantly,
To give up what you want to give up,
To give new color to your existence,
Through the relinquishment of what was your own.
By leaving that which once belonged to you,
You make room for rejuvenation,
Change,
And growth.
Simply retreat,
At this exciting time of year,
Rest and relax,
Whilst the fresh breeze blows everything out of sight and out of mind.
The season when I,
The chestnut tree,
Rid myself of all my leaves,
And you too,
Have shed your burdens.
I urge you,
As an old wise tree,
To accept,
Reflect,
And learn,
From all your significant experiences,
Through which you will,
Confidently,
Build wisdom and insight,
Until,
Eventually,
Spring unfolds again.
For every year I bear new fruit,
In the form of hundreds of chestnuts,
And do you know,
Every single fruit has potential within it,
And can sprout when it's ready.
Ready for the next phase,
Ready to come up with the next good idea,
An original,
Fresh creation,
Or a surprising,
Unique move,
As a result of stepping back,
Stepping back in autumn.
Autumn is a season of beginnings and endings of so many things.
From the knowledge that,
With care and attention,
We can all blossom into something beautiful when the time is right.
And,
Unchangeably,
You are rooted in the earth,
Firmly connected to the soil and nature.
The year after year,
You can strengthen your roots,
For greater stability,
For increased steadfastness,
As you can steer your experience through the cooperation of what surrounds you.
Such a great whole,
In which every part,
Every single particle in the cycle,
Passing on to each other,
Interconnected,
Without anyone or anything asking for favors,
For that is how nature naturally behaves.
You,
Like every other creature,
Are inseparable from nature,
In which the seasons follow each other and change.
And you can follow this rhythm in harmony and balance,
In the natural rhythm of the earth,
In which you can now slow down to recover and release,
To enjoy the beauty of all the falling leaves and the harvest of the past months that you can pick up off the path you've walked,
To look contentedly into the lee of autumn of the treasures you've gathered.
Feel the peace of autumn as you lie here so quietly,
Chestnut trees murmuring,
And notice how the gentle wind seems to whisper as it moves along the few remaining leaves that still adorn me as a chestnut tree,
While autumn colors red,
Gold and brown fade into the twilight.
And it's as if,
Once again,
The crisp autumn air caresses your skin like a soothing blanket,
A sign that you may fall asleep.
I,
The chestnut tree,
Watch over you,
Shelter you,
Protect you,
Standing firm above you and resting in the earth with my strong roots.
To the left and to the right,
The leaf slowly swirls down.
Detached from everything,
It has truly let go and is on its way to sleep.
Slowly it falls and you slow down with the leaf.
Your body is languid and heavy and very relaxed.
Night has fallen.
It's all so familiar.
This stillness,
An invitation to surrender,
To sleep,
Letting everything go,
Drifting away like a swirling leaf,
Slowly descending to a place of deep rest.
Found in the stillness of autumn,
Sleep unfolds,
Enveloping you,
Soft and peaceful,
Surrendering,
Merging into sleep.
