Surrender.
If you give it some thought,
You can realize what a beautiful word surrender is.
And when I looked it up in a dictionary,
I found meanings such as to yield,
To give in,
To release control,
To offer oneself up.
It's a form of letting go,
Of acceptance,
And often also the ending of a struggle.
The ending of an inner struggle with yourself,
Or with things that,
On second thought,
Are not worth the battle.
Hello dear listening friends,
This is Paola Pisu,
And this session is intended for anyone who wishes to welcome some form of surrender into their life,
With the aim of experiencing more peace,
Ease and contentment.
This healing sleep meditation begins with an invitation to reflect and unwind,
So that you may receive all the nourishing messages and suggestions in a serene and open state of being.
You will then be guided through a long,
Slow and deliberate process of reflection,
Followed by affirmations.
These affirmations will anchor what you want to secure,
And finally you'll be softly guided into a restful night's sleep.
Now,
Here you are,
Resting comfortably,
On your way to ever greater inner peace,
Devoted to yourself,
With the quiet intention to break through something,
And you know what that is.
And imagine that this shift is within reach.
What would that feel like for you?
What would it bring you?
What space would that open up inside you?
It's a wonderful opportunity to discover what becomes possible when you allow yourself to surrender more fully,
To look with open eyes at what begins to arise naturally,
Just from listening,
Just from choosing this moment,
From being loyal to yourself.
And that loyalty begins right here,
While you surrender to this untroubled,
Relaxing journey,
A quiet journey into rest.
Make sure you're lying as comfortably as possible and take a few moments to settle in.
And now that you're ready and open to receiving these encouraging words and heartening suggestions,
Let yourself sink into the most restful state you've known.
Let my voice,
As if it were your inner voice,
Guide you and travel with you.
Let it remind you how to trust more deeply,
To trust in your own mind and the deeper currents within you,
Those quiet inner reservoirs that know how to rest,
How to let go and how to sleep.
And as they awaken,
So too awakens your trust in your own capacity to heal,
To surrender and to sleep with ease.
Simply because you've done this before,
Countless times you've come to deep rest.
Your inner resources,
Your inner wisdom,
Know exactly how to settle into calmer,
More serene states,
How you allow yourself to be immersed in stillness,
How to dissolve into it through surrender and letting go.
And I invite you now to become aware of your own breathing,
The way your breath moves naturally or by itself,
Breathing that has already responded in its own quiet way and shift it all on its own into a slower,
More peaceful rhythm and cadence.
Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest with every inhalation and exhalation.
Notice how your belly softly expands and contracts,
How your ribs gently widen as you breathe in and retreat with ease while you breathe out like tiny rippling waves.
You're sinking deeper and deeper into stillness,
Just by noticing the sensations arising now in your quietly softening body.
And because you're lying here in such peace,
You're more able to tune in to those sensations you gently breathe into,
Resting even more deeply as you become aware of feelings still lingering at the surface and you let them gently drift away with every out-breath.
Meanwhile,
Subtle images begin to arise in the shape of ever-shifting landscapes,
Melting into fading panoramas as your mind softens into quiet.
And you become less and less aware of the impressions still moving through your mind.
They're like stars just passing through,
Thought fragments like wheels on the edge of awareness,
Appearing,
Swelling,
Drifting to the front,
Then turning,
Dissolving,
Disappearing.
Ideas,
Memories,
Reflections linked to recent days or hours when tension or effort or worry may have played their part.
Let them melt.
Surrender them to the air,
Without clinging,
Without judging.
You have that gift.
Allow them to float away.
With each breath out,
Let them drift,
Let them dissolve like mist,
And the more you let them go,
The deeper you sink into calm.
Breathe out and give yourself to this surrender.
Let it all go,
Those loops of thought,
Those imagined obstacles that keep you just slightly too alert,
Just enough to hold sleep at bay.
Trust in yourself and in the deeper sources within,
Those quiet parts of you that will remember all that needs remembering.
Trust that you will know,
Recall and even improve simply by waking refreshed and renewed when you slowly open your eyes tomorrow morning.
Because later is later and tomorrow will come in its own time.
Right now,
You are allowed to rest,
Truly rest.
Grant yourself the space to replenish and recover and to reconnect with yourself.
To be wholly devoted to your own well-being,
To your happiness.
To let everything fall away for now,
So you can breathe right here in this very moment.
To recognize that you may and that you can allow yourself this,
That it's truly essential you surrender.
Because surrendering to this restorative,
Refreshing sleep brings renewal.
The kind of renewal your whole being so deeply deserves.
To feel that through and through,
From head to toe.
To live it,
To know it,
That you are allowed to surrender completely.
To surrender into stillness,
Into deep relaxation.
That bright attentiveness of yours,
You may let it go for now.
There is after all a time for everything and now it's time to welcome serene stillness and calm.
To receive it with open arms.
To breathe it in.
To feel it.
To surrender.
To breathe calm in.
Let everything that was today simply fade.
Be released and trust your inner knowing.
Tomorrow all shall resume.
And you already know this.
You've tucked everything safely away in the quiet corners of your memory.
Or written it down somewhere,
Just for yourself.
But now,
Now is the moment to surrender into rest.
To sink into it fully.
To set aside all vigilance so that you may drift deeper and deeper into a vast reviving restorative calm.
Where pondering or any lingering worry gently gives way to blissful sweet stillness.
Lying here,
Stretched out in whatever position feels most comfortable.
Dosing contently.
Drifting off into a long luxurious extended power nap.
With the comforting thought that,
Even as you sleep,
Many processes in your body are already tending to your healing.
Your renewal.
So that hours from now,
In a world still far from reach,
You'll awaken again.
Replenished,
Vibrant with renewed energy.
Every reason right now to give yourself over to this heavenly peaceful deep sleep.
Relaxation,
Taking you deeper and deeper.
Drifting into a timeless no man's land.
Letting the day slip from your shoulders.
You are more than ready to cherish yourself.
To be tender with yourself.
To let rest enfold you as you gently float closer to the quiet that begins to bloom within.
As you give in to the art of surrender,
Finding rest quite naturally within lies slow.
Breathe in and breathe out.
And slowly you begin to feel the space that exists between control and letting go.
Drifting away from a world that meshes worth in striving,
In pushing,
In clinging.
A world in which surrender seems a strange idea.
When in truth surrender is simply flowing.
Flowing with what is.
Sheltering in that quiet strength.
Allowing what comes to come.
To realize,
To feel,
To embrace that surrender is not giving up but trusting.
Releasing what lies beyond your reach.
Letting go of what drains and depletes.
Releasing the effort to keep a tight grip on the reins.
Even that can be let go.
And it's interesting,
Isn't it,
To discover what there's to learn as you move with the current.
With the wisdom that not everything can be shaped or controlled.
With the knowing that your loving energy has the most power when you direct it toward what you can nurture.
Breathe in.
Breathe in.
Breathe in.
Surrender.
And breathe it out once more.
Surrender is a path to inner stillness.
Surrender is a choice you can make.
A gentle conscious choice.
Just go ahead.
Step through that gateway into surrender and inner peace.
And bring all your dreams with you.
Leave behind the urge to force yourself forward.
For now you can and may simply peel yourself free from that.
For beyond that gateway of surrender lies a garden.
One that invites you to rest in the unknown.
Where life is not working against you,
But calling you to soften.
To soften into a life.
And to keep softening in all those moments when you're challenged by change,
By pain,
By uncertainty.
Resist the urge to fight.
Stay supple.
It's allowed.
It's okay.
Because not everything needs to be solved right now.
Time needs space to drift over it like the wind.
And within that space is space for you to simply be.
Space to breathe.
Space to fall silent.
And space to listen to the whispers of this very moment.
Breathe in.
Breathe in surrender.
And breathe it out again.
And I ask you now,
Picture the image of a horse standing still in a field beneath a soft gentle rain.
The droplets run down its coat.
The wind dances playfully through its mane.
And the horse.
The horse remains utterly still.
It doesn't struggle.
It doesn't flee.
It knows it cannot stop the rain.
So it waits.
Waits in quiet calm.
With steady breath and trust that the storm,
The rain,
Will pass.
It understands the essence of surrender.
The ability to find ease within discomfort.
To endure unease without resistance.
It understands the art of waiting without fear.
Just like you,
That same strength lives in you.
The strength to move with life without losing yourself.
Just like the horse,
You may allow yourself to soften into this moment.
To know that everything comes and goes.
Everything has its time.
To know the rain will pass.
To know the sun will always return.
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
And let go.
Trust.
Breathe in.
Breathe in acceptance.
Breathe out.
Surrender.
Surrender.
And sink deeper into this blissful calm.
Surrender and acceptance go hand in hand because they acknowledge what lies outside your sphere of influence.
They are content with the status quo,
Which is,
After all,
Beyond your control.
And perhaps you can see clearly now that pain and unrest often come from resistance.
From believing things should be different than they are.
And the more tightly you hold that belief,
The harder you push,
The more tension and noise arise.
Yet the moment you release that resistance,
The moment you stop fighting reality,
The moment you stop trying to reshape it and simply let it come,
That's when space opens.
That's when softening begins.
Space to breathe.
Space to soothe your feelings.
Space to allow yourself to heal.
And with time,
Space to receive life with open hands.
Breathe in calm.
And exhale stress and tension.
Remarkably,
Less tension is experienced when you let go by simply releasing the grip.
Please free yourself from the urge to hold on,
To control every detail when uncertainty beckons.
No need for your thoughts to drift or become lost in a tangled forest,
Searching for answers to what will,
In time,
Unfold on its own.
While your mind wrestles with what lies far,
Far beyond your reach.
The harder you hold,
The tighter your grasp,
The heavier it all becomes.
Really surrender instead to the art of letting go.
Allowing tension to soften,
Reminding you,
In a loving way,
That there never was a need to keep such tight control.
That the answer lies in hands greater than your own,
And that,
Through acceptance,
Your constant vigilance can ease,
Creating space for you to breathe deeply again and to bring your attention back to what is within your circle of influence.
And allow yourself,
Now,
To release what lies beyond your reach.
Because the truth,
In its own quiet way,
Whispers that everything unfolds exactly as it's meant to.
So let go.
It's not a loss,
But a liberation.
And in doing so,
You begin to build a quiet,
Steady resilience.
For it's only through surrendering that what seems beyond your control,
That your true inner strength is awakened.
You understand,
Deep down,
That surrender is not weakness,
But a bold act of courage.
It's the strength to stop clinging,
For life will chart its course regardless.
And in letting go lies the hidden resilience that grows from flowing with what arises,
Not resisting what changes,
But opening to it.
Allowing space for what's tender,
For what shifts,
For what blooms.
Resilience is found in softening,
In adapting,
So that you can unfold and open.
Surrender is the invitation to welcome it all,
To feel it without drowning,
To continue living,
Carried by the waves that gently bear you.
Because you know,
Surrender is not giving up.
It's the wisdom born choice to let go of the illusion that you must do it all,
That you must master everything to be worthy or whole.
Surrender frees you,
Frees you from the need to steer by force and opens the spaciousness for honesty with yourself and with others.
For when you release the grip,
When you stop clinging,
A deeper connection arises.
Naturally,
The urge to win fades,
The need to fight dissolves.
In its place you trust,
You trust in life,
In yourself,
In the flow that carries you.
Surrender is not defeat.
Surrender is a homecoming,
A return to peace.
I let go and trust the flow of life.
Everything unfolds exactly as it's meant to.
I don't need to force anything.
I'm free to simply be.
I breathe in surrender and release with my out-breath.
I give myself to the rhythm of the universe.
In this moment I find peace.
I allow the future to rest and embrace the present.
My only task is to fully live this moment.
I release the urge to hurry,
Everything in its own time.
My heart opens to the here and now.
I let go of needing to understand everything.
Not all things require answers.
I trust in the unknown.
I release my expectations and welcome what comes.
I let my worries drift like leaves carried on the wind.
Control is an illusion,
Freedom lies in letting go.
The more I release,
The lighter I become.
My strength lies not in holding tight but in allowing.
I choose to trust instead of struggle.
Everything I try to grip too tightly I now release with care.
I am safe even when I let go.
I welcome change as a natural wave of life.
I face the unknown path with an open heart.
I move gracefully with the turning tides of life.
Change is not an ending,
It's a new beginning.
Each transformation brings me closer to my true self.
I gently release old versions of who I was.
I no longer cling to what no longer serves me.
I welcome the growth that change brings.
My soul knows the way even when my mind is unsure.
Surrendering to change brings deep freedom within.
I'm allowed to soften and be carried by life.
I trust that everything unfolds in perfect time.
I don't need to have all the answers.
My heart guides me when I'm quiet enough to listen.
I surrender to the wisdom that already lives within me.
I choose tenderness even in the storm.
I release perfectionism and welcome life as it is.
I give myself permission to simply be.
I trust in the unseen hands that guide me.
In surrender I find peace and clarity.
I don't need to suppress anything,
All is welcome here.
My emotions are messengers,
They speak with care.
I surrender to the waves of my feelings without drowning.
I allow myself to feel without judgement.
Both sorrow and joy may flow through me.
I'm an open space where emotions may breathe.
I let fear melt in the light of trust.
Surrender does not mean I'm weak,
It means I'm courageous.
I hold within me the strength to move through all things.
My vulnerability is my strength.
I open my heart without fear.
I surrender to love without a single condition.
Love flows through me and through me with ease.
I don't need to seek love,
It already lives within me.
The walls around my heart gently dissolve.
I'm worthy of receiving love,
Just as I'm worthy of giving it.
Love does not need to be earned,
It's already here.
I release old stories about love and welcome a new reality.
Love is not possession,
It's a current that moves freely.
I am love,
Always and everywhere.
I do not need to know what lies ahead to feel safe.
The unknown is not a threat,
It's a possibility.
I'm open to wonders that are still invisible to me.
I let go of expectation and welcome surprises.
My path unfolds step by step.
I'm allowed to trust blindly in my inner compass.
The future is not in my hands and that's perfectly fine.
I surrender to the adventure of life.
I dance with uncertainty and find my freedom there.
I'm in harmony with the unpredictability of existence.
I surrender to the quiet within.
I do not need to do anything to be of value.
In stillness I find the deepest answers.
My breath guides me to a place of peace.
I surrender to the rhythm of relaxation.
I'm allowed to slow down,
Soften and become still.
I let the noise of my thoughts fade into silence.
The world may keep spinning without my constant effort.
Surrendering to rest is an act of love for myself.
In stillness I remember who I truly am.
Surrender is my connection to something greater than myself.
I'm helped by the invisible flow of life.
My soul knows the way,
Even when I doubt.
I let myself be guided by trust,
Not fear.
Everything I need comes at the right time.
Surrender opens the door to infinite possibility.
I do not need to understand in order to believe.
I let my ego soften and follow the whispers of my heart.
My spiritual path unfolds effortlessly when I let go.
Surrender is a sacred act,
A devotion to life itself.
I give myself to the cycles of life.
I move with the seasons of my soul.
Each phase of life carries its own wisdom.
I embrace both growth and rest,
Action and stillness.
Not everything needs to move quickly.
Slowing down is a form of acceleration.
I surrender to the natural cycles of change.
I don't always need to move forward.
Sometimes I may simply be.
Every ending is a new beginning.
Just as the ocean releases its waves,
I release my worries.
Surrender is the key to a life of ease.
I am and that's enough.
You lie still now,
Resting,
While the moon,
The stars and the planets hang seemingly unmoved in the night sky.
Unshaken in their place,
Simply shining.
Just like you lie here,
Unshaken and shining,
Still and silent.
Receptive and open to all that may arrive through surrender.
Opportunities and new possibilities.
Life offers an inexhaustible stream of chances.
You only need to reach out and pluck them like stars from the sky.
And as you lie there,
Calm and quiet,
You notice a falling star.
An invitation to make a wish.
A gentle glimmer of something to look forward to.
It's in stillness and the soft moments of silence that you begin to see more stars.
More opportunities.
More openings.
Isn't it wondrous?
When you make space,
Infinitely more becomes possible than you ever imagined.
Now let everything go.
Sleep is so near.
Travel with the stars.
They invite you to explore the cosmos.
Drift past the moon,
The constellations and stars yet unknown.
You're held,
One with the cosmos,
The universe.
Floating,
Drowsy,
Peaceful.
Breathing slowly,
Your breath a whisper.
Fluid and steady as sleep carries you gently into dreaming.
Carried weightless in the air like a feather among the stars,
Held by the sky itself.
Beyond the arch of the heavens,
On your way to rest,
To deep night's rest.
On your way to the realm of the sleepers,
It welcomes you warmly.
You've arrived.
Allow yourself to surrender now.
Surrender to sleep.
Go on.
Drift off now.
Everything is exactly as it should be.
Breathing calmly.
Devoted to rest.
To replenishing.
Everything is as it should be.
Peace into sleep.
Sleep.
It's alright now.
Surrender.
Sleep.
It's well deserved.
Sleep.

That was wonderful Paola! I was able to let go and fall asleep before the end. I slept for almost 7 hours with 2 hours in deep sleep 🙏🥰
