Welcome,

Beautiful souls.

I remember when Daya once saying,

If I squeeze this orange,

What would come out?

I've given that question a lot of thought,

Especially when I've been squeezed,

Whether at work or at home,

And squeezed we often do.

Now I do know every time I get squeezed,

I evolve.

But the mastery,

The mastery comes when I can control what happens when I get squeezed.

And so I invite us now to a short practice to ground ourselves and centre ourselves,

To make sure that when we get squeezed,

Something sweet,

Powerful comes out,

Not bitter,

Not resentful,

Somewhere where we lose our power.

So just take a seat now or maybe lie down,

Our spine flexible,

Relaxed and erect.

Just feel the seat or the support underneath you,

Knowing you are fully supported.

Take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

One more time now.

And with every breath in,

We go within.

So maybe place two fingers or the palm of your hand to the centre of your chest,

Signifying to our nervous system that we are perfectly safe.

Safe to go within,

To cultivate that strength and softness we need to ensure that when we get squeezed,

We stand in our highest power.

So breathing now,

In for six and out for six,

Into the heart,

Breathing in,

The front heart,

Side and back heart,

All the parts of us.

And with every breath in and out,

Just relaxing the jaw of your mouth.

Feel the space within the space behind your eyes,

Relaxing your shoulders,

Just let them go,

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go.

And with that gaze at the centre of your beautiful heart centre,

The portal to our higher self,

Our Anahatra Chakra,

We are just expanding our energy through this beautiful space.

And from this space,

Maybe sense,

Feel or imagine a spark of light.

Let it expand upwards,

Outwards,

With compassion and just sensing now as if you have been squeezed,

But don't let this space contract.

Fill it now with wonder and awe.

Let that fire calmly,

Elegantly grow.

Let it expand now down to your solar plexus,

That part of us that often feels the reaction when we get squeezed.

Let that be full of light from your heart down to your solar plexus.

And I invite now a lightness,

Maybe thinking of something light hearted.

In that moment when you get squeezed,

Just bring your attention maybe to an orange or yellow space hopper with a nice big smile,

Allowing you to just jump back,

Just to go within yourself in that moment of squeeze,

That moment of tension or pressure.

Just breathing into that,

Giving yourself some space.

Not speaking,

Just smiling,

The power centre within you.

And from that space of the space hopper,

Let it expand up now to your throat chakra,

That beautiful calming blue space where nothing needs to be said.

Just giving yourself space to allowing the wave that you are riding,

Your wave,

No one else's,

Your power.

Just breathing in that beautiful blue space,

Riding your wave of power.

And let that go down now,

Down to your sacral,

The feminine area of joy,

Of softness,

Of strength,

Your strength.

Let you be filled with curiosity and compassion over the situation,

Over the person,

Over yourself.

But let yourself be full of the feminine softness and love needed to hold yourself,

Others and the situation here.

At bay,

Compassionate curiosity and courage.

And as we move now to a higher self,

To our third eye,

Just let it spiral up into the centre of your head.

The sacred eye,

See now through an observer of pure consciousness,

The consciousness that is observing the observer being observed.

From this perspective,

Be curious and let that space grow,

Expanding gracefully elegantly and let that expansion now spiral down into your base chakra where you know you are safe,

Grounded and secure.

There is no need to react.

Hold yourself here,

Fully grounded,

Fully supported,

Fully centred.

Imagine sense,

Feel or know a beautiful red base within you and the connection between you and Mother Earth.

Let that grow down and ground,

Holding you stable like a palm tree whose roots go down with every gush of wind.

It is flexible but it holds its ground.

This too will pass.

As we spiral up now,

Let's take that all the way to our crown,

Our crown chakra where the universe holds you,

Sees you.

Let that flow now all the way through the top of your crown,

Down your centre.

Let that ground you,

Centre you.

A flexibility yet power.

Let that spiral now glow from the centre of your heart all the way out.

Sense,

Feel or imagine that spinning cycle,

Glowing,

Growing around you.

I'll leave you now as you breathe that globe of power all the way out,

Melting away all of your physical body into the energy all around you,

To the room,

Into your street,

Wider than your country,

Flowing effortlessly,

Gracefully now,

Flowing overseas,

Oceans,

Elegantly,

Effortlessly,

The light of your consciousness growing now until it covers the entire hemisphere.

And your next breath encircling the whole world,

Your power,

Your softness,

Your strength,

Your compassion and curiosity.

Just breathe that into space.
