Sit back and relax with this space meditation. Gently let yourself be taken on a trip of expansion and awareness, to feel the expansion in every part of your being. Lose yourself for a few moments to come back to a place of peace, awareness, relaxation, and alertness.

Take a comfortable seat with your spine straight.

No need for it to be perfectly straight,

Just comfortable.

Roll your shoulders a couple of times.

Move your head from left to right.

Settle into a relaxed position.

Close your eyes when and if you feel ready.

Take a deep breath in and exhale fully.

Another deep breath in and breathe out.

As you breathe in,

Just noticing the simple reality that you are breathing in.

As you breathe out,

Just recognize that you are breathing out.

Take your attention to your skin.

Maybe you feel some sensation.

Just be aware and let it be.

Notice how your body feels inside.

Are there any sensations?

What can you feel?

Pleasant feelings?

Relaxed?

Loose?

Calm?

Unpleasant?

Unpleasant?

Unpleasant?

Unpleasant?

Unpleasant feelings?

A bit of tightness?

Maybe pain?

Or irritation?

Or maybe it's just neutral?

Let's now consider how our bodies are actually made up of 99.

9% empty space.

There's space in the blood vessels,

In your windpipe,

Your nostrils,

Lungs,

Stomach.

Even your skin cells are mostly made up of space if you look at them under a microscope.

Become aware of this vast space inside you.

Maybe now start to expand your attention to include the space one metre around your entire body.

You might notice sounds,

Smells or the temperature of the room.

Let your awareness fill this space.

Feel your awareness open as you grow this space to include the whole room you are sitting in,

The space around you,

Above you and to the sides of your body.

Just feeling this space.

Swell your attention even more to include one kilometre radius from the place your body is in right now.

And now to include 10 kilometres radius.

The entire city.

As big as the country.

Indeed in your awareness the entire planet.

The galaxies.

The entire universe,

The sun,

The moon,

The stars,

All the planets and the galaxies and beyond.

Feeling the space which is boundless,

Open in all directions everywhere.

I will be silent for a few minutes.

Rest your attention here in this infinite space.

Feeling this expansion,

The vastness.
