Today we are going to practice a meditation to allow the energy flow through our chakras.
Our chakras are the energy centres in our body.
The translation of chakra literally means wheel or circular.
It is believed that the human body has 109 chakras,
With 7 of these being the major chakras.
Each chakra is associated with different emotions and feelings.
There is your root chakra at the base of your spine.
The energy expresses itself either as enthusiasm or dullness,
Inertia.
Sacral chakra is the creative or sexual energy.
Solar plexus chakra,
The energy manifests in four forms here,
Generosity,
Joy,
Jealousy and greed.
Your heart chakra expresses as love,
Fear,
Hate.
The throat is associated with gratitude and grief.
Third eye,
In between the eyebrows,
Expresses as anger or awareness.
The crown chakra has one expression,
Bliss.
When the energy makes its way all the way to the crown,
The experience is bliss.
If you choose,
You may gently close your eyes to begin the practice.
Rest your hands on your legs,
Palms facing up.
Notice the position of your spine.
Bring your spine into a straight position.
Not too much effort,
But let's begin with our spine straight.
If at any time during the meditation you find that your head relaxes forward a little or your shoulders droop,
This is okay,

Roll your shoulders back and down.
Take a breath in following the passage of your breath as it enters the nose,
Moves into the throat,
The chest,
Then the belly.
Then shadow the flow of your breath as it goes out,
Leaving your belly,
Chest,
Throat,
And nose.
Continue with this awareness of the passage of your breath as it enters and then leaves your body for a few rounds on your own.
Unfold and put your feet forward at the front or back,
Go over again.
Bring your attention to your root chakra.
Locate at the base of your spine.
Simple attention.
Simple awareness.
Breathing into your base.
Then breathing out.
Continue with the flow of breath through this chakra.
Gelernt at the base of your spine.
Move your awareness to your sacral chakra,
Located in the pelvic area,
Along with the navel.
Begin to move the breath to this energy centre,
Sending the flow of breath,
The awareness,
To this area,
Enlivening it.
Breathe in and breathe out.

Using the power of your breath,
Connect to your next chakra.
The third chakra,
Bringing your consciousness to rest on your navel centre.
Feed your breath to your solar plexus chakra,
Your navel centre.
Rest your attention on this area as you send your inhales,
Breath to this area and exhale.
Rest your gentle attention on this place in your body.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Rising upwards,
Lightly rest your attention in your heart area.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.

You may become aware of the beat of your heart as you guide your breath to your heart centre.

The natural rhythm of your breath is just fine.
No need to change anything.
Continue to breathe whilst you remain with your awareness on your heart.

On your next inhale,
Shift your consciousness to rest at your third eye.
The space in between your eyebrows.
Notice any sensations here.
Just continue to breathe into the spot of your third eye.

Moving upwards to the crown of your head,
Your crown chakra.
Place your awareness here.
Breathing,
Sending your breath to this chakra with all your attention centered here.
With each breath,
You can continue to settle your awareness on your crown chakra.
Your breath may have changed,
Becoming lighter,
Softer,
As slight as the touch of a feather.
If so,
Just go with this.
No need to change anything.
Time to now imagine healing,
Healthy,
Light energy surrounding your entire body.
Music.
You Imagine it reaching every cell in your body.
If you would like,
You can imagine this light as a certain colour and then just bathe in this light for a few moments more.
Start to deepen your breath.
Feel the breath reaching from the tip of your toes to the crown of your head.
Another deep breath in and breathe out.
Taking your time and whenever you are ready,
You feel complete,
You can slowly open your eyes.
