Welcome to your EFT tapping meditation for insomnia.
This meditation is going to be perfect for you if you experience insomnia,
Whether it's having trouble falling asleep or waking up in the middle of the night.
This should really help you move through some of the things that you may be experiencing when that happens and really help you relax and get to sleep when you want to.
So let's get started.
Go ahead and grade how you feel about the insomnia that you've experienced from a 1 through 10.
10 being the most annoying,
Frustrating,
Whatever feelings come up for you.
And we are going to try and get that number down as we tap.
You can follow along with me.
I will tell you where to tap and you can say my words aloud after me or just listen to the words that I say.
So go ahead and take a deep breath in and out.
Start tapping on the side of your hand.
I don't like when I can't sleep or wake up in the middle of the night,
But I love and accept myself anyway.
Sometimes I think something is wrong with me when I can't sleep,
But I love and accept myself anyway.
I know that I can get to a place where I give myself grace for not being able to sleep sometimes.
And I fully love and accept myself.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow.
I hate not being able to sleep.
Side eye.
It makes me feel frustrated.
Under eye.
Not being able to sleep sometimes makes me feel angry.
Under nose.
And I don't like holding on to these feelings.
Under mouth.
I want to release any heavy feelings that I have around not being able to sleep.
Collarbone.
I don't think these heavy feelings are helping me.
Under your armpit.
And I focus on these heavy feelings.
Top of the head.
It makes it that much harder for me to get to sleep.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow.
I want to just be able to accept that sometimes it may be harder for me to get to sleep.
Side eye.
Or just be able to accept that sometimes it'll be harder to sleep through the night.
Under eye.
And that's okay.
Under nose.
But it's hard to get to that place.
Under mouth.
I just hold on to this frustration that I feel.
Collarbone.
I focus on how I might feel bad the next day.
Under your armpit.
I focus on how annoyed I feel with my body.
Top of the head.
I want to let go of these things that I'm focusing on because they aren't helping me get to sleep.
Take a deep breath in.
And out.
Eyebrow.
What if I knew that it would all be okay?
Side eye.
What if I knew that this insomnia I'm experiencing was okay?
Under eye.
What if I took these moments of not sleeping to just relax and give my body the rest it deserved?
Under nose.
What if I took these moments of not sleeping to focus on loving myself and my body?
Under mouth.
What if I didn't focus on the negatives of not sleeping when I wanted to?
Collarbone.
But what if I focused on how to nourish my body and relax and allow it to do what it needed to do?
Under your armpit.
What if I focused on how to care for my body when I can't sleep?
Top of the head.
What if I focused on how to care for my mind when I can't sleep?
Take a deep breath in.
And out.
Eyebrow.
I know that I will get to sleep eventually.
Side eye.
Right now my body and my mind just need some extra attention.
Under eye.
Under nose.
Tomorrow will be okay.
Under mouth.
I allow myself to relax into anything my body is telling me right now.
Collarbone.
I allow myself to listen to what my body needs right now.
Under your armpit.
I allow myself to do something that might really calm my mind right now.
Top of the head.
As I allow my body the process it needs to get to sleep right now.
Take a deep breath in.
And out.
Eyebrow.
Even though I worry about how this will affect me tomorrow.
Side eye.
I know it will be okay.
Under eye.
I'm not going to sit in frustration because I know it will take me longer to get to sleep.
Under nose.
I trust my body and what it needs right now.
Under mouth.
I trust the messages my body is sending me right now.
Collarbone.
I know that I will get to sleep.
Under your armpit.
I know I'll be rested enough for tomorrow.
Top of the head.
And if for some reason I'm not,
I know I can find time to honor my body and get the extra rest that I need.
Take a deep breath in.
And out.
Eyebrow.
I know that I will fall asleep when I need to.
Side eye.
I know I'll be fine whenever I fall asleep.
Under eye.
I love and trust my body to tell me what it needs.
Under nose.
I'm okay with whenever I fall asleep.
Under mouth.
I allow my body to do what it needs.
Collarbone.
I have so much love for my body.
Under your armpit.
I honor what my body needs always.
Top of the head.
I know I'll fall asleep when my body wants to.
And I fully love and accept myself.
Take a deep breath in.
And out.
Okay.
That is the end of this EFT tapping meditation for insomnia.
If you want to regrade yourself on how frustrated you felt about not being able to fall asleep or stay asleep earlier,
You can regrade yourself and see if your number went down.
From a 1 through 10,
10 being the most frustrated.
And hopefully you feel a little lighter now,
A little more relaxed and less frustrated or angry or whatever emotions you are feeling around this insomnia.
Because it can be very frustrating to not be able to sleep when you want to.
But the more we allow our body and our mind to relax,
The closer we'll be to sleep.
And that's the most important thing.
