Sometimes we just need to feel and sense we are held in love, that we are embraced even when life throws us into turmultous seas. This is not a mental, conceptual or imaginery meditation. It leads you into a felt sense experience to be embraced by that what is bigger than the "little me". This guided meditation is from a live retreat. Enjoy!

So just close your eyes and I will guide in the beginning and then we also have some silent time together as this is very powerful as a group.

And just feel,

As always we begin with the ground.

It means just feel yourself sitting on your seat,

Whether it's a chair or on the floor,

On the couch.

Let your body be upright.

And let your weight drop into the ground.

The earth has you.

The earth holds you.

The earth holds the entire you.

Every soft drop is if you are held in loving hands.

We begin to notice your breath breathing in your belly.

And breathing in your heart.

There's nothing you need to do.

Let the breath breathe you.

Know your mind to lean back into the sky behind you.

It helps the mind to relax.

And just feel the support below you.

For a moment,

Rest.

Just rest.

Right now you are held,

Whether you are fit or not.

You are embraced.

Either the sun or the earth,

But one another in a circle.

Allow yourself to feel that,

To open into that,

The possibility like you are completely embraced.

Even by the air around you.

It's okay to relax for this moment.

To relax the striving,

The fixing,

Changing.

Just relax the grasp.

Bring your attentiveness towards being embraced in this exact moment,

Even by my voice.

And if there's any tension arising,

Give it breath.

Just flooded with breath.

Into that space,

All is welcomed.

It includes your experience in this moment.

That's all that might feel like.

That even the thought that passes through your mind,

If there is one,

Is embraced in that river of love.

In that river of benevolence.

It's carried.

And if you have any emotions that might be challenging for you,

You just give it breath.

Remembering that you are held and carried in a greater river of benevolence,

Of goodness.

That's okay.

Whatever is here,

That it arises.

Permission,

You have permission.

The whole of you gets to be here.

Just keep breathing in your belly,

Resting into the ground,

The earth,

Your seed.

Towing your mind to drop backwards,

Leaning into love's embrace.

And begin to notice what happens in you.

And begin to notice what happens in you.

What happens in you when you just remember that kindness embraces you.

No matter what the world is doing in this moment,

Kindness holds you exactly as you are.

Oh my God,

For Spirit,

Love is all.

Feeding you milk on five fingers.

Taste that drop,

Or that ocean.

Oh,

Maybe there's someone in you.

Maybe there's stillness,

Then stay with the stillness.

Maybe there's warmth,

Then stay with the warmth.

For some of you,

There might be an experience of a guest that has arrived,

Or that's been waiting for that outstretched hand.

Whoever that guest is in you,

The usual unwanted guest,

Just this time.

Notice what it's like to reach out a hand.

Notice that same kindness,

That same embrace,

And say,

Yes,

You too get to be here.

And yes,

You too get to be fed by love,

By this goodness.

Yes,

You too get breath.

Your wants don't tighten around the contraction,

But rather open to see who's here,

Who's asking for you,

For your presence.

So give your fear a hand.

Give your pain an ear,

And an embrace.

Let yourself feel,

Allow yourself to experience exactly what you experience,

Knowing you are held.

Each moment,

There is room to base it upon.

Keep breathing into your belly.

Your heart.

Look more of what happens inside of you as you are relaxing.

As you are embraced,

As you are embracing.

And even that what you cannot embrace,

Trust.

The air,

The sunlight,

The love is embracing it.

Let yourself taste that and revel in that for a moment.

What flowers in your heart right now?

What opens?

What emerges in your heart?

Okay.

What do you feel?

What would it be like to stand together?

On the mountain top?

Embracing the world as it is?

Just sing through you from your heart towards a friend.

Towards animals?

Towards someone you care deeply about?

Towards even the one that you regard as an enemy?

Let your heart do the job.

What would it feel like to stand on a mountain top like a mother,

A father?

Embrace the whole world into your hands,

Into your heart.

Feel what might it be like.

And how might you walk in life the next couple of days knowing that,

Whether you're aware of it or not,

That you are embraced by life itself exactly as you are no matter what comes along your way.

So,

Again,

Take a breath into your heart and your belly.

Let the warmth fill you from our practice today.

May it inspire your walk.

May it carry you.

May all beings,

Seen and unseen in all the worlds,

Benefit from our practice.

May all beings know no matter what the circumstances are,

Each one of us is embraced in love as we are.
