Wisdom of the heart.
In each of us resides wisdom.
If we open to it,
Wisdom emerges through the stillness of the heart in many ways.
As an inner voice,
A body sense.
A feeling,
Image or simply through life.
Take your seat like a queen or king.
Breathing in,
Tense your whole body.
And breathing out,
Release.
And again,
Breathe in and release.
And then just breathing in and out.
Nothing else.
With every breath,
Relax deeper into yourself.
And gently focus your eyes on the point between your eyebrows.
Now become aware of a situation or a question you are seeking wisdom for.
Whatever thoughts you may have about it,
Let them arise and pass by like clouds.
Without holding or rejecting.
Allow your emotions and body sensations to move freely through you.
Just like the waves of the ocean.
Just like the waves of the ocean.
Only noticing.
Becoming aware without getting carried away.
Wisdom arises from beneath the waves.
From a deep place within you.
Let yourself now go on a journey to this place of wisdom.
Again,
Be aware of the breath.
The natural rising and falling.
Like a flowing river.
Imagine that you are at a bridge.
Crossing the river to the other side.
There is a gate.
Put down any baggage you may have carried to the ground.
Then turn and slowly open this gate.
All you see at first is light.
Dare to step across this threshold.
Entering the sacred place.
Come in and look around.
Open to the beauty.
Smell the fresh air.
Listen to the song of birds.
And connect with the feeling of peace surrounding you.
You may even notice a wise being beside you.
You see a path on which you walk toward a still,
Clear lake.
Only the moon and the stars light the way.
You feel safe and at home.
Over the lake you discover an ancient tree.
Like an old friend inviting you to settle down.
Sit down in that soft,
Green moss.
Leaning on its mighty trunk.
You can relax now.
And just like this tree,
Your roots are growing deep down into the rich earth.
Drop inward to the stillness of your heart.
Use a light,
Quietly shining like a pure jewel inside of you.
Let it radiate and unfold you.
Remember now the question you have come with.
Ask for the wisdom you need.
Open,
To receive and trust in stillness.
Whatever wants to be revealed.
Wisdom is here for you.
Wisdom is here for you.
Feel yourself.
Feel yourself being wise.
Filled with wisdom.
As the wise person,
How would you respond to the situation or question?
When you are ready.
Notice if there is a sense of calmness that comes with the answer.
Even if the undertaking might be challenging.
Is there truth?
Even if the answer is different than what you might have expected.
And does it serve the well-being of all life?
Remember your gratitude for whatever you have received and be open to what else might come during your night or day's journey.
