Set yourself upright and gently breathe into your belly,
Breathing in through the nose,
Breathing out through the mouth.
Breathing in through the nose,
Breathing out through the mouth,
Allowing your weight drop down into the seat where you're sitting and deeper than that into the ground that holds you,
The earth below you.
Allow anything to be as it is in you whether you feel uptight and tense or you feel afraid or lost or joyous or whether you have lots of thoughts or a few thoughts in this moment all is welcome as it is.
Throughout this meditation keep breathing into your belly,
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
Allow yourself to lean even deeper into the earth.
We're connecting with a deeper energy from the ground below you that holds you.
We can call it the mother,
The dark one.
So this is the darkness is not something that is scary in this meditation but rather is the darkness of the night that envelops you,
The darkness that beholds you before you were born even.
It's the darkness where all potential arises from.
So allow yourself to drop deeper in your body,
Your whole being,
Your descending.
You may feel below you that rich earth,
Soil from which all things grow.
How everything slows down the mind begins to relax.
There's something greater that is holding you.
It's the mother,
The Divine Mother,
The Mother in nature,
The Mother in you.
And for a moment allow yourself to feel as if she's holding you in her lap.
As if her arms reach around you,
Touching your chest,
Touching your heart,
Holding your belly.
As if she's supporting you and nourishing you like you are her only and most precious child.
And feel how the ground below you holds you,
The earth.
And into that lean in,
Lean in.
You are received exactly as you are.
Unconditionally and always held.
You may notice how the holding that you have to hold yourself up is letting go a little bit.
When you can experience that you are held.
You're held by life itself.
We sometimes just forget.
And it helps to make it really concrete that in this moment the earth holds you.
And if you can allow yourself to connect with the Mother,
She also holds your whole body.
She holds your heart.
She holds your mind.
And letting you know that you can let the burdens drop into her arms,
Into her lap.
Anything you've been carrying around for now or for always.
Let the burdens drop from your shoulders,
From your heart.
Let them drop into her lap.
She's big enough.
Lean yourself into her even deeper.
Moving all the tightness soften.
Give it to her.
Rest into her.
Allowing yourself to be,
To be held,
To be received,
And to be nourished.
Let her warmth,
Let's touch.
Like you're sitting in nature and the wind carieses your face.
Sunlight warms you.
She's sitting in a lake and the sight is pure and clear.
There's nothing you need to figure out in this moment other than rest into her.
Let the mind lean into her chest.
It's not the mother that is your birth mother,
But rather she is the mother of life,
Of creation.
And you are her very own.
Feel how she treasures you.
She loves you unconditionally.
No matter how many roads you've taken into,
Hardship or suffering,
No matter how many times you have been lost and confused.
She's always been there.
She's always here welcoming you home.
Let every cell of yours drink in this nourishment like manna,
Like milk from this universe.
Let your weight drop down,
Down,
Down.
You are held forever in her internal,
Eternal embrace.
You're safe.
You're held.
And loved right now.
Feel as if she's holding your face,
Looking into your eyes,
Stroking your forehead.
Maybe you can hear if you listen.
She might be speaking something to you that's only for you.
Keep resting into her embrace,
Letting yourself be.
Letting yourself be held.
And then slowly open your eyes when you are ready.
Gaze softly into this world.
Breathe into your belly and walk through your day or into your night knowing,
Remembering that you are held no matter what.
Thank you.
