For this practice,
It's helpful if you can actually be in a lying down posture,
Maybe with something warm covering you so that you can really relax into this visualization.
To begin with,
Just letting your body melt into whatever is supporting it.
Letting your body feel heavy and warm.
And then just noticing whatever might be there,
Whether it's in your body or in your mind or in your emotional landscape.
Just holding gently whatever might be arising without holding on too tightly,
Acknowledging what's there,
Letting it recede to the background.
So let's start to cultivate this picture in our minds.
If you can imagine a beautiful,
Brilliant blue sky above you and maybe some big white puffy clouds,
Pick your favorite cloud.
Just imagine that is drifting gently down to where you're at.
So the cloud eventually comes right next to you so that you can carefully take a step and step into this cloud.
What does it feel like to be in a cloud?
This cloud is very special because it can actually hold you.
It can support you.
What would it feel like to be held by a cloud?
You can even lay back into it,
Stretch your legs,
Wrap your arms around yourself as if you're pulling the cloud around you.
This is the safest cloud that you can imagine.
So there might be a feeling of warmth,
Of security,
Of heldness along with lightness.
Just luxuriate in this cloud.
There's nothing you need to do right now other than just laying back in the cloud.
Imagine letting this cloud carefully drift up into the brilliant blue sky with you in it and feeling this wonderful,
Magical,
Pleasant feeling of drifting with your cloud,
Feeling completely supported and safe.
It might feel a little bit like you're flying or coasting or gliding.
Where does your cloud want to go?
What can you see from the edge of your cloud?
Imagine traveling over your most beautiful land.
What does it look like?
Then imagining that this cloud actually takes you back down to this wonderful,
Peaceful,
Beautiful place.
You very carefully step out of the warm embrace of your cloud and you enter your place of serenity.
You can stay there as long as you'd like.
I'm going to let my voice drop out now,
But linger in your beautiful place.
If it feels right,
When you're ready,
You can conjure up your cloud again to take you back down to the moon.
