This is a practice of somatic presence and release for the purpose of clearing space as a ritual of sovereignty.

Because a cluttered mind clouds our ability to think clearly.

It blinds our hearts and causes us to feel panic,

Anxiety,

Fear,

And creates a need for us to grip and control.

Sovereignty is self-governed power within the circumstances,

Within the present moment.

And so we do this practice to root into our power,

To not be distracted by the activity and the obsession of the mind and the body over the past and the future.

So I encourage you to join me in clearing space so that you can rise more powerfully.

My name is Nave Lucas and I am honored to guide you into this practice.

Before we begin,

Take a moment to get comfortable.

Sitting with your hips slightly above your ankles if you choose to sit cross-legged.

If you're in a chair,

Balance your hips and place your feet evenly on the floor beneath you or simply lay down on your back in a relaxed shavasana posture.

Take a few slow breaths,

Not too deep,

But just slowly letting your body know that we are going to be present here and that we are listening to what it needs to say,

What it needs to show us,

And what it needs to release what's built up inside.

Make sure that your devices are on do not disturb.

People know not to interrupt you because this is your time.

Let's begin.

As you breathe slowly and peacefully,

Imagine the rhythm of the ocean's tide guiding your breath in and then in perfect rhythm,

Releasing and pulling the water back out to the ocean as your lungs empty and repeat.

As you continue to breathe in,

Simply become aware of your body sensations,

Aware of the emotions that you've been feeling today,

Aware of the mental chatter that's been distracting you,

Just observe it the way you would observing sticks or debris floating along the river.

With each breath becoming a little bit more aware,

With the parts of your body that are feeling tense,

Tight,

Heavy,

Wound up,

Gripping,

Even subtly.

Common places that we don't know we're gripping can be our jaw,

Eyes,

Shoulders,

Back of the neck where it meets the head,

Hips,

Lungs,

Diaphragm,

Abdomen,

Sometimes even hands.

It doesn't mean that that will be where you have your place of tension,

But simply let yourself tune in.

Continuing to breathe with the rhythm of the ocean's tide.

In and out.

Slowly in and slowly out.

Now go ahead and take this moment to tune in to a particular place in your body that stands out to you as more tense than the rest.

It'll be the tense place that's connected most strongly to the heavy emotions and cluttered mind and thoughts that you've been dealing with.

Check your forehead,

Check your ears,

Check your shoulders,

Your chest,

Your hips.

And as you do this,

I want you to ask yourself,

What is the perception of this sensation?

What is the perception of it?

If that sensation of your body could tell you how it feels or a belief that it's holding on to,

Fear,

What would it say?

Tune in.

Sometimes it says,

I can't.

This is too much.

I'm alone.

I'm not enough.

Just some examples.

Tune into what your body is saying to you.

Stay with the sensation.

Notice the heaviness and the tightness.

And when you're ready,

When you know what your body is saying through the sensation,

The belief that it is expressing through this tightness,

Through this tension,

Through this heaviness,

Or even through this emptiness,

As you tune into that,

Go to the space in your body that's tight.

Think the belief that it has and squeeze more tightly into it.

Increase the tension.

Squeeze it,

Repeating the fear and the belief back to your body.

You're afraid.

You don't feel like you're enough.

You don't think you can.

Feel alone.

Validate this.

Squeeze it.

Squeeze it.

Like a bear hug,

Join your body's tension in its attempt to be heard.

Please.

And when you're ready,

Be ready to love it.

Let your heart open and with an inhale,

Send warm,

Golden,

Honey-like,

Energetic waves to melt and pour over that part of your tense body.

Breathe in.

And at the top of your breath,

Slowly release the tension that you've been squeezing and imagine that golden,

Honey,

Thick light pouring over the tension of your body,

Immersing your muscle fibers in warm,

Golden white light.

Sit with the exhale for just a moment,

Calling your higher self forward.

Let your body know that you have heard its cry.

Steadily breathing,

Continuing the rhythm,

Continuing to feel that warm,

Golden white honey dripping down your body,

Absorbing into the muscle fibers that are tired from holding on for so long into your joints,

Into your organs,

Into your blood.

As your higher self comes forward,

Ask your higher self what to say to those spaces in you feeling heavy with pain,

Heavy with anxiety and fear.

What comforting,

Affirming words does your body need to know?

It might be something as simple as,

I am with you and you can.

I am with you and I love you.

I am with you and you are enough.

I am with you and you are loved.

I am with you and you are not alone.

Take another deep breath as you connect with the words that you are meant to speak to your body.

Another honey-filled breath.

Let it bubble inside your belly.

Let it grow.

Let it grow.

You can even make rolling motions with your belly to really picture the energy stirring and growing and building and heating up that golden honey,

Energetic flow.

When you're ready,

Inhale slowly.

Imagining all of that white golden honey energy building up around your body and coming up over to the top of your head as if it's going to fall down with your exhale like a waterfall of cleansing energy and a warm,

Loving,

Unconditional,

Powerful embrace that penetrates into every fiber of your physical,

Spiritual and emotional being.

With that vision in your head,

Please repeat it again for another three or even five breaths.

Build the energy.

Build the energy.

Roll your belly.

Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in,

Imagine the honey-colored walls of energy building up around your body.

At the top,

It pours down your body,

Speaking the words of affirming comfort and truth that your higher self has called forward.

Breathe in.

Breathe out the words of truth.

Let them feed you.

Let them feed you.

Let them feed you.

Let them feed you.

Build yourself of your higher self's words.

Breathe them up and around you to the top of your body.

Let them pour down over you,

Embracing you,

Covering you,

Cleansing you and restoring you back to the truth in this space of renewal.

Take as much time as you need to continue to breathe and build the energy and let the waterfall of golden,

Warm,

Honey-like renewal wash over you,

Creating an energetic cocoon of truth,

Comfort,

Clarity,

Peace and presence.

Let the space become your power to be,

To express yourself,

To receive.

And when you're ready,

Take a couple quick breaths high into your chest like you just finished a really good cry,

Something that sounds a little like this.

And then slowly sigh it out.

Do two more.

Wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes,

Fill your eyes inside your sockets.

Release your forehead,

Your lips,

Your chest,

Your spine and come back into the moment in a space of new light,

Freedom and clear peace.

Please use this whenever you are feeling overwhelmed,

Gripping and chasing and looking for answers and feeling unstable.

This will continue to ground you.

Do it daily,

Three times daily,

Whatever is necessary.

Feel free to use this as a guide or learn the process yourself,

Put on some ambient music and guide yourself through it.

You don't always,

You don't need me to guide you through it.
