Welcome,
My name is Natalie and together we move through a yoga nidra practice to explore our own magic,
Wonder,
And wisdom.
Find a place where you can be comfortable and where you can find stillness.
Notice the state of your thoughts.
See if you can start to slow down the rhythm of your mind.
Giving space or slowness or stillness in your mind.
Taking a slow breath into your body,
Filling up every corner.
And then gently release this breath.
Let your body sink down into the support.
I'm taking a few more breaths just like this,
Filling up.
Maybe a sigh,
Maybe some sound.
And another breath to fill your body.
Letting go of what you need to with your breath out.
Now allow your body to find a natural rhythm of breath.
A gentle rhythm that might feel similar as to when you were sleeping.
When you are at your most calm.
Create space within you for your magical being to exist.
For your creativity to arise.
And for your intuition to become more than just a whisper.
Balancing intellect and emotions,
And courting curiosity and wonder throughout this practice.
Allow this practice to help you dive inwards to get to know yourself a little better and to find a sense of play,
A sense of discovery.
And a sense of newness within you.
And to signify the beginning of this Nidra practice.
We set a heart's intention,
Something that resonates deeply,
Something that you want to plant in your consciousness like a seed.
You're welcome to use your own intention or you can choose one of these.
I am wise.
I am curious.
I am magical.
Choose the intention that resonates most with you.
And then say it to yourself at first,
One time,
Like a vow,
To yourself,
Like a promise.
And repeat it to yourself three times.
We move through a slow and steady body scan.
Begin at the crown of your head and visualize a star twinkling at the crown of your head.
You might notice some sensations.
Visualize the shimmering light of the star moving down to your third eye center.
Both eyebrows.
Eyes.
Nose.
Cheeks.
Top lip.
Bottom lip.
Chess.
Right shoulder.
Right elbow.
Wrist.
First finger.
Second finger.
Third finger.
Little finger.
Slowly imagining shimmering light,
Shimmering stars moving back up your right arm.
Back to your chest.
Your heart center.
Left shoulder.
Left elbow.
Rest.
First finger.
Second finger.
Third finger.
Little finger.
Visualize shimmering stars in your fingertips.
All the way back up to your chest.
See the colors of this twinkling star in your heart.
Imagine the light of this star moving slowly down to your centre.
Filling the space where creativity is born.
Guiding this light and this awareness down to your pelvis.
Over to your right hip.
Right knee.
Ankle sole of your right foot.
Top of your foot.
First toe.
Second toe.
Third toe.
Fourth toe.
5th toe.
The starry night in each toe,
Filling your right foot.
And your entire right leg.
Back through your lower abdomen.
Pelvis.
Left hip.
Ankle.
Sole of the left foot.
Top of the foot.
First toe.
Seconds.
With two.
Toes.
Left foot.
Left leg.
Sense the length of your spine slowly increasing.
Shimmering light weaving through each vertebrae.
Up to your shoulders.
Back of the head.
Ears.
Temples.
Top of the head.
Imagine the star at the top of your head.
Beginning to float up into the universe.
And with the natural rhythm of your breath.
Connect to the star where you came from.
Now down to the soles of your feet.
Imagine the energy of the earth slowly moving from the soles of your feet.
Up through your body.
Acknowledging both Earth and Universe around us.
Allow your breath to be at the center.
Allowing this breath to be the messenger between earth and stars.
Traveling through your body.
And making space for the magic within you.
Allow your attention to settle into your first energy center,
Space around your tailbone,
Your pubic bone.
Muladhara,
The root chakra.
The space of comfort.
Safety.
And stability.
The space of I am.
Sensing energy in this area and breath.
Gently flow your attention up to your sacral chakra,
Svadhisthana.
Space around your pelvis.
Energy center.
Of pleasure.
Sensuality.
The space of I feel.
Sensing spaciousness,
Sensing breath.
Up to the space above your belly button.
The solar plexus chakra,
Manipura,
The space of strength,
Determination.
The place of I do.
Now up to your heart center.
Anahata Chakra.
A space to cultivate acceptance,
Compassion and love.
The space of I love.
Gently allow breath.
Allow energy to fill the space around your heart center.
You and coming up to your throat chakra.
Vishuddha Chakra.
The space around your throat.
The space for creativity,
Inspiration.
Self-expression communication.
The space to be heard and understood.
The space of I speak.
Give special attention to this space if needed.
Visualize the star at your third eye chakra between your eyebrows.
Ajna Chakra.
Space of intuition.
Trust in your vision and the space of meditation.
The space of I see.
And coming up to the crown of your head,
The very top of your head.
Sahasrara Chakra.
The space of knowledge.
Spirituality.
Wisdom.
Consciousness.
The space of I understand.
Move a little deeper into the feeling,
Sensing from your root,
Slowly up your body through each energy center.
Allow sensations to fade away.
Allow the awareness of your breath to fade away.
Allow any other thoughts or feelings to dissolve.
Focus on the space.
And the quiet.
Darkness.
And the nothingness.
And then begin to visualize.
Arrow of a compass.
Path in the forest.
A dark ocean.
Twinkling bioluminescence.
Billions of stars in space.
An infinite universe of knowledge.
The heartbeat of the Earth.
A seed slowly opening.
A flower blooming.
A tree falling.
The arrow of a compass spinning.
Begin to walk in the direction of your path.
Allow your own wisdom to guide you.
Remember the heart's intention you chose.
Take it with you.
And feel a sense of trust in your own magic.
Own wonder.
In your own intuition.
You you you you you you you you you
