Welcome,
This is a body scan to help soothe your body,
Mind and spirit.
Let yourself get comfortable and take any last movements that you might need.
Take a slow breath in and a soft breath out,
Letting yourself sink down into this support beneath you.
As we move through this body scan,
You can invite in a sense of softening in your body as well as in your mind.
We'll begin at the point between your eyebrows,
Your third eye center.
Sensing this space and inviting in softness and rest.
Allow your attention to flow gently to both eyes,
Nose,
Cheeks,
Teeth,
Tongue,
Throat,
Neck,
Right shoulder,
Your elbow,
Wrist,
Thumb,
First finger,
Tongue,
Throat,
Nose,
Cheeks,
Thumb,
First finger,
Second finger,
Third finger,
And little finger.
Now imagining softening and a soothing quality as you flow your attention back up your right arm,
Right side chest,
Right waist,
Hip,
Thigh,
Knee,
Lower leg.
Ankle,
The sole of the right foot,
First toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe.
Sensing all of your toes on your right foot,
Inviting in softening,
Grounding.
Begin to sense the right side of your body as a whole,
A gentle awareness.
Over to your left shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Thumb,
First finger,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Little finger.
Sensing softness,
Relaxation in your fingers and your left arm.
Chest,
Coming down the side of your waist,
Into the left hip,
Thigh,
Knee,
Lower leg,
Ankle,
The sole of the left foot,
First toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe.
Fifth toe,
And all of the toes on your foot.
And slowly let your awareness move,
Filling up the left side of your body.
Peace and calm and softness.
And again,
Sense the right side of your body and the left side of your body.
Feeling,
Relaxing the left side of your body.
And begin to sense the base of your spine.
And very slowly let your awareness travel up,
Relaxing any tension in your back as you move up slowly.
Eventually arriving at the top of your head.
And now imagine this soothing and calming energy.
Let it wash through your body from the top of your head all the way down.
Washing away any tension,
Any pain.
And let yourself rest and breathe here.
