Good morning.
My name is Natalie.
This is a short morning meditation to begin your day with a sense of peace and presence.
Let's begin this meditation with a few present breaths.
So you can start to fill your body with breath,
Taking an inhale and a gentle exhale out.
Letting yourself sink down into the support beneath you.
A couple more breaths,
Feeling the quality of the inhale and the quality of the exhale.
Another breath,
This breath bringing you a little bit of energy and awakening.
This exhale bringing you a sense of groundedness.
Allow your breathing to be natural.
And begin to feel your back body connecting to the support beneath you.
If you're holding any tension,
Let your body relax into the support.
Allow your eyes to soften.
And with your imagination,
Begin to imagine that you are sitting on a mountain overlooking the horizon just before dawn.
Looking around,
You see the soft blue of the sky as the blue hour begins to shift and lighten.
You might feel a gentle breeze and hear the sounds of birds singing their morning song.
As you look out over the horizon,
You can start to see the golden rays of the sun peeking up above the horizon,
Lighting up the sky around you.
And the different colors of the clouds and the dark sky behind you also begins to lighten.
And in this moment,
You feel a sense of new possibilities,
A chance to start again.
And sensing into your breath once again,
You might place a hand onto your heart space.
Cultivate a sense of trust,
A trust in yourself to bring a little more peace and a little more presence into this world and into your own life as you start this brand new day.
Right here,
Right now,
You sit with a sense of trust,
Knowing that whatever lies ahead today,
You've already begun this practice.
You've already begun this day with a little bit of presence and a little bit of peace that you can take with you.
