
Two Doors Practice For Weight Loss
This guided meditation is to help you with weight loss. You will enter two very different rooms, the past and the future, before being invited to make your decision as to where you want to go.

Please do not listen to this recording whilst driving or involved in any other activity.
Make yourself nice and comfortable,
Free from all distractions.
And let's begin.
Take a deep breath in.
And gently exhale.
Take another deep breath in.
And gently exhale.
Take another deep breath in.
And hold it.
And as you exhale,
Allow your body to start to relax.
Now do a scan of your body to determine whether maybe any stress or tension being held.
Start at your head.
And as you scan down,
You release any tension,
Any stress,
And all the muscles in your body.
Comfortably relax now.
All the way down.
Relaxing every muscle,
Every nerve,
Every cell,
Every consciousness in your body.
You relax and let go now.
Feel your body sink into the chair or the bed.
Becoming more and more comfortable now.
And as I count from ten down to one,
You'll feel your body and mind relaxing even more.
And I'd like you to count with me in your mind now.
Ten.
Nine.
Deeper relaxed.
Eight.
Seven.
Just let it go.
Six.
Five.
Feel your body relaxing.
Feel your mind relaxing.
Four.
Three.
Deeper down now.
Let it go.
Two.
One.
And allow your body and mind to drift and float.
Drift and float into a very comfortable state of relaxation now.
And I want you to imagine using your wonderful imagination that you're standing in front of two doors.
The door on the left is the door to the past.
The door to the right is the door to your future.
Now we're going to take a look what's behind these doors.
So go to the door of your past,
The door on the left.
Open the door and it opens easily for you.
And you walk into a room that's full of all the things that had prevented you from losing weight in the past.
Maybe there are certain foods in there,
Greasy,
Fatty foods.
Maybe there are sweet foods in there.
All the foods that have prevented you from losing weight are piled high,
Stacked up in this room.
And anything else or anyone else that may have prevented you from losing weight in the past is in this room.
Take a good look around and ask yourself the question,
Do these things really serve me?
Are these things making me really happy?
Are these things preventing me from having the life that I truly want?
If you see any fatty foods in the room,
Notice how fatty and greasy they are.
Maybe you'll notice little pools of fat or grease on the floor.
Maybe you'll notice grease at the walls.
Maybe you'll notice an overwhelming smell of these fatty,
Greasy foods.
If there are sweet foods in this room,
Notice that they smell ten times sweeter than normal in a very sickly kind of way.
Notice any people that may have prevented you from losing weight.
And if these people are still an important part of your life,
Then notice that there's a cord connecting you to them.
And this cord represents simply how they've prevented you from losing weight.
And if you cut that cord,
You can still choose to have these people in your life,
But they cannot prevent you from losing weight anymore.
They don't have that influence over you anymore.
They're not able to affect you in any negative way.
So just cut that cord.
Look around at anything else,
All these things that do not serve you.
And now notice how the colour from the room is fading and everything in that room is becoming black and white like an old movie.
And as these things become black and white,
It represents your loss of interest in them.
Everything becomes dull and uninteresting in this room.
The foods don't seem appealing anymore.
You may even find that you're repulsed by them.
For they have been preventing you from having the body and the life that you want.
Soon you find that nothing in this room,
Nothing in this room whatsoever,
Can ever prevent you from losing weight again.
Because you'll now find it very easy to say no to these things.
You're no longer tempted by these foods.
In fact,
The very thought of them repulses you.
The thought of eating these things now seems very out of place to you.
Soon you find that you can't stay in this room anymore because there's nothing in this room that's going to help you.
There's nothing in this room that's going to help you to achieve your ideal body.
So you can leave the room now and close the door behind you.
Now you need to make a decision for yourself.
If you want to continue.
If you want to ensure that these things no longer sabotage your efforts.
You can lock that door.
Just reach into your pocket and you'll find that you have the key.
The key has been with you all along.
And now is the time to use it.
Lock that door to the past.
And when you hear the lock,
You may feel a click inside you.
Something's shifting.
Something's changed.
You are no longer the person that you once were.
You've made a commitment to yourself now.
You've made a commitment to yourself.
And you're going to continue to reject anything that does not serve you.
You reject anything and everything that does not serve you.
Now walk to the other door.
The door to your future.
And before you enter,
Take a deep breath in.
And gently exhale.
And as you enter the room,
It's got a certain energy about it.
You'll instantly uplift it.
This room is filled with positive vibes.
It's filled with all the things that are going to help you on your weight loss journey.
It's filled with gorgeous smelling fruits.
Nourishing vegetables.
Glasses and jugs of clear,
Refreshing water.
Healthy meals.
Maybe there are things that represent exercise.
Maybe a pair of trainers.
Maybe some gym clothes.
Maybe you notice a leaflet that shows certain exercise classes.
Maybe there are people in there that are going to support you that you know will always support you.
Take a moment to absorb all the goodness in this room.
Now,
In the corner of the room,
There's a dining table and chairs.
And if you usually eat your meals with family or maybe friends,
They are sitting there.
Now go over to the table and sit down.
Either alone or with your family.
With your partner or maybe a friend.
You've got a wonderful healthy meal in front of you.
And you start to eat it now.
You take smaller bites.
And you eat very slowly.
And as you are chewing very thoroughly,
You put your knife and fork down on the table or on the plate.
Once the food in your mouth is gone,
You pick up your knife and fork again and eat some more.
As soon as you've placed the food in your mouth,
You put the knife and fork back down.
As you chew slowly and thoroughly.
Once the food in your mouth is gone,
Pick up your knife and fork again and eat some more.
As soon as that food is in your mouth,
Place your knife and fork back on the table.
As you eat slowly,
Chewing your food thoroughly.
Really tasting your food for the first time.
For you now find that you enjoy the quality of food,
Not the quantity.
You do not need to eat large portions anymore.
In fact,
It's extremely difficult for you to eat large portions.
Soon you start to feel the sensation of satisfaction in your stomach.
You look down at your plate and there's still lots of food on there.
You place your hand on your stomach and listen to your body.
Your wonderful temple.
Yes,
You recognise that you are satisfied,
Pleasantly satisfied.
And you have no need to continue eating the meal.
You pick up your plate,
Take your food waste to the bin.
And as you scrape the food into the bin,
A feeling of pride and confidence washes over you now.
You are finally in control of food.
And what a feeling that is.
It's an amazing feeling to be completely in control of food.
And you go and sit back down.
If you are dining with family,
If your children have had enough to eat,
You encourage them to do the same.
And in the past,
You may have had the desire to eat the remaining food on their plates,
To pick at their leftovers.
Not anymore.
It doesn't even occur to you to do this.
That would be completely unnatural to you now.
In fact,
When you watch others scrape their waste into the bin,
That makes you more proud.
Because you are instilling these good habits into others.
Now you pour a glass of clear,
Refreshing water.
And as you drink the water and you feel the coolness travel down your throat,
You visualise this water cleansing and nourishing your body.
Such a lovely feeling.
You are now completely in control of food.
From this day onward,
You are completely in control of food.
Nothing that anyone can say can take away your control over food.
Nobody can sabotage your efforts.
You are far too determined now.
You are far too strong now.
You are doing this for yourself.
You feel excited,
Knowing that every single day you are one step closer to achieving your ideal body.
Now look towards the door that you came through.
If you've left it open,
I want you to close it now.
Remaining inside the room.
And I want you to lock that door.
Because you are not going back to your old habits now.
Notice that there's a glass door at the other end of the room.
And as you walk towards that door,
You have an inner knowing that everything is changing for the better.
Open the door and walk out,
Outside.
It's a beautiful day and the sun is shining down on you.
The sun is shining down on you,
Filling you with a very positive,
Uplifting energy.
This is your new life.
You are becoming slimmer and healthier every single day.
You are becoming lighter and freer every single day.
And as you turn back towards the door,
Notice your reflection in the glass.
See yourself at your ideal weight and size.
Slim,
Healthy,
Confident,
Happy.
Experience that feeling of pride of having achieved your goals.
How good does that feel?
Really feel it now.
Really experience those good feelings.
Notice what you're wearing.
And how incredible clothes now look on your slim,
Healthy body.
Soak in these newfound feelings and rejoice in them.
And as I count you out from one to five,
Bring those good feelings back with you.
With each number I count,
You'll become more and more alert.
At the count of five,
You'll open your eyes,
Feeling completely refreshed and uplifted.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Open your eyes,
Feeling absolutely wonderful.
Open your eyes,
Feeling absolutely wonderful.
