Snuggle down and get yourself comfortable in your bed.
Finding the best position for you to rest now.
Taking a few intentional breaths in and out.
Breathing in and then letting go.
And now allowing your breathing to become natural and soft.
Relaxing your joints,
Letting your muscles go loose and feeling your whole body settling down to rest.
Noticing any thoughts that are drifting through your mind and gently let them go.
Telling your mind that you will have time to revisit these thoughts another day,
But now it's time to sleep.
If any thoughts do try to distract you,
Gently letting your thoughts go and bringing your awareness back to this practice,
To the music and to observing your breathing.
Now bringing yourself into this moment.
Breathing softly and setting your intention to fall asleep quickly and easily.
Feeling grateful and full of love for your beautiful body that has helped you do things all day and feeling grateful for all the times in the past that your body has successfully fallen asleep.
You know how to do this,
Your body's done it before.
Able to fall asleep quickly.
Feeling relaxed and ready to drift into sleep now.
And visualizing that you are walking along a natural path surrounded by beautiful trees and plants.
Ahead of you,
You notice that the path curls downwards over a crest.
As you go over this crest,
You begin to hear the distant sound of a waterfall cascading.
The path meets a crystal clear creek trickling along and continues upstream towards the waterfall.
The presence of this crystal clear water and the trickling sound it makes is healing,
Calming and relaxing.
The natural surroundings make you feel welcome,
Safe and at peace.
Wandering up the path along the creek and noticing as the sound of the waterfall gets louder.
As the water cascades over the rocks and down into the creek,
You surrender anything into it that you do not need at this time,
Thoughts,
Worries,
Plans about the future.
Just letting go of anything that is distracting you from sleeping into this creek.
As you continue walking up the path,
The waterfall comes into view,
Taking in the beauty of this place and standing in awe of this majestic waterfall flowing effortlessly down into the pool below.
Even though you are feeling so engaged and connected in this beautiful place,
Noticing that you are also feeling sleepy and tired.
Just as your body is beginning to feel heavy and soft,
You notice a small hut nearby with a cozy looking bed inside.
The hut has three simple walls and a roof and the side facing the waterfall is completely open.
This bed is perfectly protected while having an unspoiled view of the waterfall and creek as well as the surrounding trees,
Rocks and sky.
Making your way over to this bed now and getting completely comfortable inside the hut,
The light outside is exactly as you want it to be.
As you snuggle into the soft warm covers,
You feel instantly calm and peaceful.
Listening to the water and releasing anything that you have been carrying that you do not need in this moment.
Letting any thoughts,
Feelings or stresses drift away down the creek.
Feeling totally clear inside yourself and relaxed now in this soft warm bed.
Watching the water flowing down from the top of the waterfall,
Noticing as it fills up the pool below and flows over into the creek and keeps on drifting down out of sight.
Staying here as long as you like,
Resting,
Watching the water and drifting off soundly into sleep.
