Getting comfortable and connecting with your breath,

This is your time to relax and let your thoughts and worries go.

Breathing in and out,

Anchoring yourself in the present moment.

Imagine that your breath is travelling down inside your body,

All the way down to your feet.

Breathing in to your feet and out from your feet.

Now breathing into your legs and knees.

Feeling your feet and legs go soft and relaxing into the floor or the furniture underneath you.

Breathing up to your hips,

Breathing into your hips.

Letting go of any tension.

Breathing into your abdomen.

Expanding this area as you inhale and then feel it release and go soft as you exhale.

Letting go of any tightness in your torso as you breathe into your whole abdomen.

Softening your back and your shoulders.

Now sending your breath down your arms and into your hands.

Allowing them to become heavy and rested.

Now breathing up through your neck and into your head.

Relaxing your jaw,

Softening your face and just letting go.

Breathing into your whole body at once now and connecting in deeply with your heart space.

Connecting with your true self.

Visualising now that you are entering a great hall and in the centre of this hall is a podium and behind the podium is a crowd of people.

People that you have known throughout your life.

You see close family and friends gathering behind the podium and you also notice acquaintances and people who you've only briefly met.

There is enough space in this grand hall for everyone you've ever known.

All of these souls have come here to share something that they admire,

Appreciate and love about you.

Conflicts or differences of opinion do not matter here.

There's no need to be on good terms with all of these people.

Just know that there is a part of them that has something positive to say about you and your job is to simply receive it with gratitude.

In front of the podium there is a special comfy chair or cushion just for you.

Take a seat.

Enjoy this moment.

Just be yourself and open to receiving these compliments that have been lovingly crafted just for you.

As these people share how you inspire them,

They will focus only on who you are as a person and your unique abilities.

They're not so much concerned with what you do as they are with what's inside of you.

The first person stands at the podium,

Looks you in the eye and tells you what they love and appreciate about you.

Using their words and then inviting the next person to the podium.

Feel their appreciation for you wash over you.

Allowing the next person to take the stage and then the next.

Taking in all of this love coming your way.

Noticing if any resistance arises within you.

Any disbelief about these compliments.

Just practice showing gratitude for all of this positive feedback,

Even if you don't believe it just yet.

With practice you will begin to believe.

For now just staying open to the possibility that maybe these people are telling the truth about you.

You might notice a theme emerging,

Finding that many people appreciate the same things about you.

That's okay.

Allowing everyone's opinion to be valid.

Feeling your heart open as you let in all of this positive feedback.

If someone takes a stand who struggles to say something kind about you,

Ask them to look deep within themselves,

Past their own pain,

To a place within them that love resides.

Maybe they can share something about you now.

Making sure everyone present has a turn at the podium.

Continuing to take in all of this beautiful feedback.

Letting the people take the podium one by one and share the things that they love and appreciate about you.

The time has come now to leave this great hall.

If you haven't received all of your messages just yet,

You can return to this practice another time.

But for now,

Turning and walking outside of the hall.

Taking a moment to breathe deeply and integrate everything that all those people just said to you in the hall.

Feeling more confident about your quirks,

Traits and values.

Allowing all those kind words to sink in.

Starting to believe in yourself.

Starting to recognise your own strengths and feel certain about the person who you want to be.

Outside you see a table with a piece of paper and a pen on it.

On the top of the page it says,

I choose to be someone who is.

And the rest of the page is blank.

Pick up the pen and write down three qualities or values that you would like to embody.

This is not a declaration of goals.

The intention here is not to write down things like,

I choose to be someone who is free from pain,

A homeowner or who has a holiday every year.

This is about connecting to who you want to be.

How you want to treat other people and what you want to stand for in the world regardless of any challenges that you might face.

You could write something like,

Compassionate,

Giving,

Loving,

Open-hearted,

Positive,

Loyal,

Reliable,

Fun,

Adventurous,

Curious or nurturing.

Choose three values or virtues that you'd like to live by and write them down on your sacred page.

Taking a moment to feel each of these values and experience them.

Thinking about what each of them bring to your life.

Now letting the visualisation go and reconnecting with your body,

Breathing deeply and making some gentle movements.

Opening your eyes and coming back into your world.

Fearing to bring those values with you.

Fearing to bring those values with you.

Addresses a need so often overlooked in this group of people (to which I happen to belong). Simple message, yet brought tears to my eyes at finally being seen for me and not for my medical issues. Thank you so much for this, from the bottom of my heart. So important, so fundamental, so helpful. Bookmarked and downloaded. I see the light in you. 🤲❤️🤲
