Giving yourself this moment to orient into the space,
You are welcome here.
Begin to notice the space that you're in by scanning it slowly and noticing how slowly you can scan your space until you find something that feels nourishing that you can land with and notice in your own time for as long as you need with this neutral gaze.
Scanning,
Noticing and just landing on the earth,
Feeling that support from the great mother below.
Invitation is to remain neutral.
Or come with eyes to a close whenever you're ready during this space together.
Here we're going to explore our ileocecal valve.
Noticing it and being with it for a moment.
In order to support digestion.
And any tension that may be there.
Simply today being in awareness,
Being curious about this space.
Continue to relax.
Notice yourself in the space while bringing in a connection to the breath.
Noticing the breath as you breathe into the abdomen to connect with the abdomen in this space.
Connecting with your abdomen as you expand with the breath How can you begin to nourish your abdomen,
Your organs,
Your digestive system with your breath?
Continuing to breathe here while feeling that support from the Great Mother.
As you begin to notice.
And map your digestive organs.
What lies here?
Nothing to name or label,
Just this space that exists within the body.
Noticing it.
Begin with the left side of the abdomen.
Just scanning this space,
Welcoming in a hand if that feels nourishing.
Noticing the intestines.
Both the small and the large as you check in with this space.
Noticing any tension.
Discomfort.
Maybe even pain as you scan this area.
Breathing into this space,
This expansion,
Softening anything that's arising for you.
And as you breathe into these spaces.
Begin to consider how food moves and interacts with your well-being.
Do you find food moves with ease or do you find there are sometimes challenges with digestion?
Just noticing what comes up when you think about that.
Those questions as you breathe here,
Feel the support of the Great Mother.
And notice.
Begin to notice.
This space where the ileocecral valve lies.
Notice where your right hand hip bone lies notice your belly button.
And begin to welcome in touch or remain with the breath.
To this area until you find the space.
The space that lies between this right hand hip bone and the belly button.
Almost in the centre of the two.
This is exactly where the ileocecal valve lies.
Continue to bring in touch or breath.
Beginning to feel into this area.
And if you're bringing in touch notice the depth of this touch alternating between a lighter.
Touch and a deeper touch between this space.
Some people confuse the ileocecal valve with the appendix.
If you still have yours,
It's near to that space.
Keep exploring until maybe you begin to notice a change,
Notice a space that feels more hollow,
Like you're circling towards a space that feels similar to when you make a fist and you're circling with the first two fingers of your other hand in this space where the fist has created this almost hole where you fold your first finger with your second finger,
Making circles in this area within the fist until you find kind of this depth,
This space in the fist that you formed.
It feels just like that when you find the iliosecal valve often.
If you utilize just the first two fingers of your hand.
You need to make circles between the right hand hip bone and the belly button and you keep circling and changing the depth of these circles you will eventually find your iliacecal valve.
When we remain curious and open to this exploration of the body then.
We find these spaces and places.
There's never any rush,
And maybe today you don't find it.
Maybe it's another day.
But if you do,
And once you do,
Just notice it.
Pause.
Continue to breathe into the body,
Feeling the support of the Great Mother below.
And if you find a change in sensation.
Lift the fingers.
Move deeply.
Move with a shallower touch and then move deeply again.
Almost this gentle pulsating of the space,
Noticing any sensations that arise.
Sometimes nothing arises and sometimes there's heat or tingling or discomfort.
And as you notice what's arising for you just remain here tending to yourself in a way that you need.
Whether that's continuing with the touch,
Pausing,
Breathing.
Intentional breaths.
Or coming into a ball where it's almost like a fetal position to just tend to yourself with whatever's coming up.
Continue to notice.
Continue to be here,
Breathing,
Tending,
Acknowledging.
With curiosity.
With an exploration of.
No intention,
Just exploration.
Continue here with.
.
.
This ileocecal valve for as long as you need until there feels some kind of completion today.
Holding you in whatever's coming up and whatever's needed in this moment.
Knowing that this space is there for you to be with whenever you need.
Sometimes it's useful to return to this space after food and sometimes when we're lying in bed and we're just about to fall asleep we can start to notice the Ilias Equal Vow of asking for some tending and some support.
Giving yourself exactly what you need at any given moment now this space has become clear for you.
Or maybe it's not clear fully and this exploration will be longer,
Welcoming whatever's arising for you in this moment.
Continue to be here as this space closes,
Breathing into the body,
Integrating the experience.
Holding you,
Witnessing you.
With love.
