In this practice we will explore letting go and going with the flow of existence and going with the flow of this earthly experience and it can help to think of ourselves and our lives as a river flowing,
Changing all the time but with a continuity the more we become aware of how the river of our life is flowing,
The more we can let go a little and go with the flow of life,
As challenging as this can be at times the more aware we become,
Perhaps the more able we are to steer our way skillfully,
Going with the current but a great way to begin is to explore resting in the flow as it is ideally in a seated position for this practice straight back,
Soft belly feeling the connection,
The weight of your body against the chair,
The seat,
The floor any time you notice you become disconnected from the practice,
Your mind's wandered perhaps coming back to this sense of groundedness and using the weight of your body against the surface you're resting on to anchor your experience starting to notice your breathing now each breath,
Each moment of breath is a unique experience in itself,
Not the same as the previous one and not the same as the next notice how the breath just happens without you controlling it you're not choosing to breathe,
Your breath is happening within you know too that all the automatic processes in the body,
Oxygenation of your cells,
Blood flow,
Your precious heartbeat are all happening in the same way as best you can,
Sit in the experience,
Letting go,
Letting go opening the awareness now to the whole body and feeling the aliveness in the body as sensations rise into your consciousness and pass through,
Recognise their impermanence sensations of the body continually changing in intensity,
Location,
Quality let go and experience your body moment by moment allowing sensations to come and go without attachment,
Without judgement I know that thoughts are passing through your mind like clouds,
Happens to the best of us,
Happens to the worst of us,
Happens to all of us bring your awareness to your thoughts with a friendly interest observe the patterns of your thoughts and let the thoughts come and go like clouds passing across the sky on a windy day like the weather,
The thoughts in your mind are always changing depending on the conditions you know the thoughts you had yesterday,
Last year,
5 years ago,
10 years ago,
That seemed so very important they came and went as will the thoughts that are popping up in your mind right now opening up your mind now to every aspect of your experience sensations,
Sounds,
Tastes,
Smells and thoughts let go,
Experience,
Remain present and allow the play of your life to happen by itself,
Just resting in the flow when you notice the mind is wandering,
That's part of the experience when your toes start twitching and your nose gets itchy,
That's part of the experience let go and experience the flow noticing accepting you're alive slowly noticing the weight of the body against the surface you're resting on when you're ready and gently opening the eyes and taking in the sights around you seeing if you can bring this awareness of the flow of life,
The flow of experience into the rest of your day accepting,
