Welcome to this evening Sankalpa practice.
A gentle way to rest into sleep while planting your personal intention deeply within.
As you repeat your Sankalpa before sleep,
It settles into the fertile soil of your subconscious,
Where it can quietly grow during the night.
So allow yourself now to let go of the day,
Find comfort in your bed,
Soften into your breath and prepare to carry your Sankalpa with you into peaceful rest.
Lie down comfortably,
Close your eyes softly,
Take a deep nourishing breath in through your nose and sigh it out through your mouth if you wish.
Again,
Inhale fully,
Exhale and let go.
Feel your body settling,
Safe,
Supported,
Heavy.
With each breath,
Release the day a little more,
Letting go of thoughts,
Letting go of effort,
Resting deeper into stillness.
Now,
Gently bring one or both hands to your heart.
Feel the quiet rhythm beneath your palms,
Steady,
Alive.
As you inhale,
Sense warmth and openness spreading in your chest.
As you exhale,
Soften even more into this space.
Rest here for a few breaths,
Connecting with your inner presence,
With the quiet flame of intention that lives in your heart.
Now,
Let your personal Sankalpa arise.
There is no need to force it,
Just allow the words to come from deep within.
Silently repeat your Sankalpa insight with sincerity.
Feel each word echoing in your heart,
Settling deeper with every breath.
Repeat again,
Slowly,
Gently,
As if you are planting the words like seeds in soft soil.
Allow your Sankalpa to become quiet,
Almost like a whisper in your mind.
Let it sink into your body,
Into your breath,
Into the stillness of the night.
Now,
Let the words fade into silence.
Your Sankalpa is planted,
Alive within you.
There is nothing more to do.
Simply rest,
Carried by your breath,
Held by the night.
If you are still awake,
You may let your Sankalpa return once more,
Softly and gently.
And then,
Let go completely,
Drifting into deep,
Nourishing sleep.
Your Sankalpa is now alive within you.
May your intention continue to grow as you rest.
May your night be peaceful,
Your dreams gentle,
And your heart at ease.
Good night.
