Hello and welcome to this happiness meditation.
There is a quote from Gandhi about happiness.
Happiness is when what you think,
What you say,
And what you do are in harmony.
Happiness is a state of alignment within our mindset,
Our actions,
And our energy.
Which means we can become happier as we align deeper within.
Closing the eyes if that's available to you.
Softening the body,
Letting go of whatever came before this.
Starting to be here now,
Opening up to the possibility of becoming happier.
Becoming happier.
Silencing the noise,
The distractions,
The chatter.
You deserve to be here,
To become happier in this space and moment.
Using gravity to hold the body,
Feeling a sense of heaviness,
The muscles of the body relaxing,
Everything just hanging off of the body,
Soft and easeful.
Opening and closing the mouth to release tension in the jaw,
Letting the shoulders move away from the ears.
Again letting gravity just pull everything downwards,
Surrendering any tension to the earth,
Grounding in this moment.
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling out of the mouth.
Deep breath in and a long slow breath out.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Full breath in and a slow long exhale out.
Continuing to breathe slowly and with intention,
Counting each inhale and exhale to ten.
I'll be quiet as you focus on your breath.
As you rest in this place of ease,
Starting to visualize a beautiful garden before you.
Maybe this garden is wild,
With colorful flowers,
Bird baths,
Vegetable patches.
Or maybe it's neat,
Rows and rows of meticulously cared for plants.
Allowing yourself to take in the details of this garden,
The colors,
The sounds,
The smells.
Starting to feel the warmth of the sunshine on your skin,
Illuminating something within you now,
A sense of hope,
Contentment,
Peace.
Walking around this garden and feeling the presence of another being,
A high vibrational energy.
As you get closer to this being,
Recognizing that this being is you,
A version of you,
The happiest version of you.
Taking in what you look like.
Your smile,
Your body,
Maybe your shoulders are relaxed,
Your spine long,
Eyes bright with love and potential.
What does this happiest self look like?
Starting to look for clues,
Answers,
As to what makes this version of you so happy.
What wisdom are they holding?
What lessons are they able to share with you?
And now allowing yourself to surrender to this happiest version of you.
Obeying to their guidance,
Their support,
Their love,
Allowing you to become happier.
Seeing yourself hand over the things that you would like to be held and supported by this happiest version of you.
Your house keys,
Maybe your emails or social media,
Your work schedule,
An opportunity.
Handing over whatever it is so that it can be transformed and supported by this highest happiest self.
Transformed into light,
The happiest lens,
Cared for,
Then watched over,
Reflecting on this for a moment.
Allowing this happiest version of yourself to wrap you up in a big hug.
Feeling their warmth,
Their safety,
Their happiness.
This happiness starting to wash over you now,
Infusing into the body through the skin,
Into the cells of the body.
Feeling a deep sense of contentment and peace.
Maybe smiling as you feel this joy settling within you,
Merging with your happiest self,
Becoming happier.
Noticing that your skin is glowing,
Light is all around and within you now.
Happiness pouring out of you,
Abundant and free.
You are happier.
Wrapping the arms around yourself now.
I am happy.
I am happy.
I am happy.
Sending gratitude to this happiest version of you for their wisdom,
Their support,
Their love.
And now returning to your space,
Moving the fingers and toes,
But holding the energy of happiness.
This alignment within.
I am happy.
Bringing the palms together in prayer position for our final closing.
