What if your body is like a spider's web—an intricate network of sensations that can feel every movement, every vibration, every piece of information exchanged with the universe? And what if the reason you get overwhelmed by emotions isn't because the sensations are too powerful, but because you've forgotten that you are the spider, not the web itself? This meditation takes you on a journey through your entire body as a field of sensations, teaching you how to disengage from the captivating movie of thoughts and feelings that pulls you in. You'll find the revolutionary difference between being lost in sensations and being the space in which sensations arise—to transform the overwhelming emotions into valuable communication from the universe. Through direct exploration, you'll learn that anger, fear, sadness, and joy are not personal afflictions but temporary visitors that come from the universe and return to the universe, leaving you—the space of awareness—completely untouched.

Let your eyes gently close,

Let them withdraw from all the colours,

All the shapes,

All the action.

Let the fidgety eyes find some rest underneath the eyelids.

Let us all stand in this moment,

Deeply rooted in this moment,

Naked from the burdens of the past,

Worry-free from the expectation of the future.

Remember,

In this moment,

As you stand,

There is no room for anything from the past.

This entire exploration is completely in the moment,

Requiring no reference to anything that you might have accumulated as knowledge,

As information.

As conditioning,

As a bringing,

Happily let go of whatever you know for the duration of this session.

Even leave all the notions of who you are outside the door.

Your presence is enough.

Your label,

Your degree,

Your identity is not needed today.

Come empty-handed to this session,

To this exploration.

Open.

Your body is a collection of sensations.

Let's offer our sensations to the space without referring to any image of your body part,

But solely relying on the experience,

The sensations of your body.

Take your attention to your left foot and offer the light,

The dense sensations to the space around it,

Within it.

Completely let go of your body weight onto the floor.

Take your attention to your left ankle,

Your left calf.

And notice with each instruction and your attention on it,

The sensations are coming in the purview of your awareness.

Feel those sensations.

Don't see them,

Don't visualize them,

But feel them.

Slowly coming up,

Come to your left knee,

The back of the knee.

Feel it come alive.

Feel everything below your knee pulsating.

Moving on to your left thigh.

Don't be in a rush.

Slowly navigate every nook and corner of your left thigh.

Above,

Below,

Outside,

Inside.

Middle thigh,

Upper thigh.

Your left thigh,

Your left groin.

Notice how your left leg is happy to get some attention.

It's coming alive.

Let the space become one with your left leg.

Let your left leg become one with the space.

Offer it completely.

Take your attention to your right foot and let go of it completely to the ground.

Patiently explore the different nooks and crannies of your right foot.

Drop the label,

Drop the visual.

Stay true only to your current experience of your right foot,

Your right ankle,

Your right calf and shin.

Move slowly.

There is no rush.

Explore your calf meeting the back of the knee,

Your shin meeting the front of the knee.

Become aware of your right knee,

The back of the knee,

Your right thigh.

Inner thigh,

Bottom thigh,

Outer thigh.

Slowly move up to your middle thigh and upper thigh.

Patiently let each cluster of sensation come alive.

Offer the right leg to the space around it.

Let the sensations become one with the space.

Feel the sensations in your hip.

Feel how your butt has become one with the chair.

There is no chair,

There is no butt,

Only sensations.

Become aware of your genitals,

Abdomen.

In and around your belly button.

Take a few extra moments to explore your entire stomach.

All around from your left to your right.

Don't be distracted by the visual.

It's merely a superimposition of your memory.

Come back to the sensations of your stomach.

Even the movement of your stomach as you breathe in and out is only felt as a flow of sensations.

See how the sensations in your stomach are dangling in space,

Expanding and contracting in space along with the space.

Moving up to your sternum,

Your chest,

In and around the chest.

Offer your thoughts and images to this space and stay with the sensations.

Take your attention to your left shoulder and where your chest meets the left shoulder,

Your collarbone,

The bottom of your throat,

And your right shoulder.

Your left arm slowly moving down from your left shoulder,

Your left armpit,

Left elbow,

Left forearm,

Wrist,

Your left palm,

Your right palm,

Wrist,

Forearm,

Right elbow.

Notice how wherever your hands are touching your legs in your lap,

There is no difference between your hands,

Your legs,

Your armrests of your sofa.

Everything has been experienced and is being experienced as merely sensations.

Slightly denser maybe,

Still sensations.

Slowly moving on from your right elbow to your right shoulder,

Your right armpit.

And notice how there is no perceptible difference between your belly and your back.

There is no width that you can experience.

The entire cluster seems to be pulsating through your lower back,

Middle back,

Upper back.

There are no dimensions of any sorts here.

Without visual perception,

It's all mysterious.

It's all here and nowhere at the same time.

Become aware of your throat and your neck.

Don't be in a rush.

The back of your head,

Your left ear,

Inside your left ear,

Your right ear,

Inside your right ear,

Your jaw and your lips,

Your nose,

Your eyes,

Your forehead.

The top of your head.

Disentangle yourself from these sensations.

You are not these pulsating sensations.

See it for yourself.

Are you the one vibrating or pulsating or blinking?

Or are these sensations happening inside you?

Most of the times,

We are completely entangled in our sensations.

In our anger.

In our sadness.

In our fear.

Like completely losing ourselves in a dense jungle.

Unable to find our way out.

Panting.

Scared.

Sweating.

But hopefully you can see it that you are not lost.

In fact,

You have only forgotten that you are the space in which these sensations are appearing.

Any sensation cannot take you away unless you decide to lose yourself in it.

The sensations is how this body interacts with the rest of the world.

And how the rest of the world interacts with our body.

The sensations of hunger remind you to eat.

Similarly,

The sensations of thirst,

Sleep,

Tiredness.

If the sensations of anger arise,

We just need to allow it to find itself out of us.

It comes on its own,

It goes on its own.

You as the space in which it arises are not affected really.

Don't take my word for it.

Innumerable clusters of sensations have flown through you.

Notice if you have diminished in any way.

Are you incomplete or extra in any way?

Our feelings can overwhelm us.

Can bring us to our knees.

If we look at them as feelings.

But if we see them as sensations.

They don't have that much power over us.

You know it's like if you are driving well over the speed limit.

And you see a cop car.

For a split second,

You are washed with the cold sensation of fear.

And once you realize the car is not following you,

The cop car.

Within a few minutes,

Your body finds its equilibrium.

The fear is washed away.

And it's business as usual.

These sensations are not here to stay.

They come from the universe,

They go back into the universe.

If we allow them to.

Thought and feeling create this.

Captivating movie that pulls us in and we lose ourselves.

In those feelings,

In those thoughts.

Disentangle yourself.

And notice that the thoughts,

The sensations.

Even my voice,

The sound of my voice.

Disappear.

Once they are heard,

Once they are seen.

Leaving you untouched.

Stand out.

From this unfolding.

This cloud of sensations is similar.

To the web.

That a spider weaves.

It can feel every.

Bit.

Of the web.

Every movement of it.

Just like that.

These sensations are our web.

Exchanging universe.

Exchanging information with the universe.

Provided we are not lost.

In our experience,

In our thoughts,

In our sensations,

In our feelings.

Serendipity,

Intuition.

Spidey sense.

They are all communicated through this web.

Through these sensations.

Keep disentangling yourself.

Find yourself as the space.

And learn the language of these sensations.

Instead of being afraid.

Instead of being a victim of our feelings and sensations.

Learn this language.

Communicate.

With the universe,

Through your sensations.

Thank you.
