Welcome,

Welcome to the meditation to focus on a positive future.

I'm really excited to bring this to you to create that space for you to start to envision how you want to show up.

My name is Misty Lucas and let's get started.

So taking a moment,

Allowing your body to settle as you find a comfortable position.

Allowing the position to create a long spine,

Keeping that beautiful natural curve in your low back.

So you can be seated on the earth,

Laying back in a chair.

What does your body need in this moment?

Allowing yourself to close your eyes or keep them open with a soft gaze downward.

Just allowing yourself to tune out the external.

On the next inhale,

Draw your shoulders all the way up to your ears and let them gently relax.

Back down.

Today's practice will be about envisioning your positive future.

It's an opportunity to connect with that place inside of us that wants us to move towards a life of meaning and fulfillment.

This is a beautiful way for us to connect to those inner desires,

That vision of what and how we want to show up in our lives.

It's an opportunity to consider how we care for ourselves and others and how to show up as our best self when life presents a challenge.

Allowing yourself to take a beautiful full breath in,

Drawing that breath down into your belly and a long,

Soft exhalation,

Letting that breath flow out.

Falling into your natural rhythm of breathing,

Breathing in and out,

Allowing yourself to be fully present,

Resting on the breath,

Noticing the inhalations and the exhalations.

Noticing the sensations in the body as the breath moves in and out.

Throughout this practice,

Let your body and mind feel loose and open.

And as I offer you ideas or questions and you find responses all in the purpose of finding your positive future.

Allow yourself to repeat the questions I offer silently into yourself,

Resisting that urge to problem solve,

Resisting the urge of questioning how and allowing whatever comes up to come up organically.

And if nothing comes to mind,

Always know you can continue to rest your attention on the breath until something arises,

Creating space and opportunity.

Let's begin asking yourself,

What kind of future do I feel deeply moved towards?

What kind of future do I feel deeply moved towards?

Notice your thoughts,

Notice your feelings,

Notice the images that come to mind.

Meanwhile,

Remembering breathing in,

Breathing out.

As you hold this positive future in your mind,

What are the feelings that are present?

What are the sensations in the body that are present?

Noticing without judgment.

Is there contraction?

Is there expansion?

Is there excitement?

Is there fear?

Allowing it all to be present and notice and allowing us to explore the future you feel deeply moved towards.

Here are some questions to help you move there.

How can I show up in a way that will allow this positive future to unfold?

How can I show up in a way that will allow this positive future to unfold?

How can I show up fully for the opportunities that I encounter?

How can I show up fully for the opportunities that I encounter?

Who do I want to be in relation to others?

Who do I want to be in relation to others?

What might get in the way and how will I move beyond it?

What might get in the way and how will I move beyond it?

What are the skills or capabilities that I'll need to get there?

What are the skills or capabilities that I'll need to get there?

How might practice support my future?

How might practice support my future?

Allow yourself to be in that future right now and reflect on the things that you did to bring you there.

How do you feel?

How are you showing up as you?

What steps did you take to bring you into this beautiful vision?

Allow yourself to see some of the things you're doing.

Are you spending more time with family?

Do you have a daily practice to create clarity and focus?

Are you learning new skills?

Are you creating a practice to allow yourself to connect deeper within?

To connect deeper to spirit and deeper with others?

See these activities in your mind's eye and notice how do you feel as you see yourself doing these activities?

Allow yourself to tap into the emotions,

Into the feelings.

Create that connection to that being,

To that person you want to be,

To that life that you're creating.

Allow yourself to take a nice deep cleansing breath,

Knowing this meditation is for you to come back to at any time.

To rediscover,

To reconnect to that place inside of you that's ready to create your vision.

Knowing deep within you that you have the ability to improve your life and the lives around you.

Take that feeling of the person you are as you stepped into your future and move back into this present moment,

Into your day.

Can you create space to allow it to guide how you show up in your world now?

Taking one more deep cleansing breath,

Inhaling through the nose,

Exhale through the mouth.

Come back into your beautiful body,

Moving fingers and toes.

And in this moment,

Allowing yourself to take a few moments to journal.

Give yourself the opportunity to journal,
