I'm Amy.
Thank you for joining me for this meditation on breakups.
You're taking the first step towards healing and towards regaining your strength.
Let's start by taking three deep breaths together.
Breakups hurt,
Regardless of the circumstances.
It's okay to feel upset,
Scared,
Confused,
Angry.
Whatever you feel is okay.
Yourself feel awesome.
Because even though you can't outrun what you feel,
You can ease some of the discomfort.
If you try to avoid the feelings,
They'll just resurface again another day.
So as much as you may feel shattered and sad and stuck in your pain,
The interesting thing about hurt is that you can't hold on to it forever.
Even if you repeat the events in your mind over and over again,
Eventually the pain will dissipate.
It may not feel like it right now,
But by letting yourself feel your feelings and by exploring your hurt,
You can unravel it and slowly dislodge it.
Focus back to your breathing.
Feel the way your breath comes into your body and feel it as it moves out of your body.
Feel the pain like a knot in your stomach.
Feel it.
It's okay.
Breathe fully into your stomach.
You'll start to take some of your power.
Place your hand on your heart and again feel your breath coming in to focus on your breath.
Today might not look like yesterday.
It never will.
You can decide how tomorrow looks.
Make it work.
Make a promise to yourself to take care of yourself,
To do the things you need to do to find comfort and peace.
Be kind to yourself.
Sit up tall and feel a shift,
A strength growing in you.
Take your time,
A feeling,
But keep moving forward.
Sit up.
You're already a step ahead of where you were.
Open your eyes and see your beautiful,
Limitless new life.
