Softening the Edges is a gentle guided meditation designed to help you release tension and return to a state of ease. In a world that can often feel sharp and hurried, this practice invites you to slow down and soften, in body, in breath, and in mind. Through simple guidance and moments of stillness, you’ll learn to let go of resistance, allowing life to flow a little more smoothly around you and through you.

Transcript

Take a moment to unwind.

To soften the edges.

You can do this practice either seated down,

Lying down or standing wherever you are.

Bring your awareness to your body.

What can you feel?

What's standing out right now?

Notice any tension in your body.

Around the jaw.

The shoulders.

The belly.

Breathe into it.

Into any tight edges.

And as you breathe into any tension,

Feel the breath massage it ever so gently.

To push and then yield with the out-breath.

Allowing the edges to soften.

Can you anywhere right now?

Feel the body unfurl.

Feel any hardness,

Loosening.

Even just a little.

You don't need to force it.

Forcing creates tension.

Being mindful,

Bringing your attention to tension,

Allows it to leave in its own time.

A gentle breath.

A tiny release.

Again and again.

Each breath,

Smoothing out the roughness.

Until you are softer,

Lighter,

And more at ease.

And now move the body.

And if your eyes were closed,

Allow them to open.

Have a wonderful day.

That was delightful! It was just what I needed to smooth the edges, relax, and smile. Thank you!

My hands turned into the space around me and the smile softened my jaw and my forehead, taking me to the place where I should be - peaceful and filled with joy. Thank you for this 🙏🙌🎶☀️
