Thank you for joining me today for this guided mindfulness meditation to help you stay centered,
Calm,
And balanced through the busyness and the ups and downs of the holidays.
Begin by finding a comfortable posture and by bringing your awareness to the breath.
Take a few moments to let yourself arrive and allow the breath to draw you gently into internal awareness.
Allow the gaze to soften,
The eyes to close.
Receive the breath.
And as you exhale,
Give it away.
Receive the next breath with gratitude.
And give it away with your love.
On the breath,
Feel the flow of exchange within and without.
Notice how each breath is a collaboration with the world around you.
Settle into the body.
Imagining yourself as Father,
Mother Christmas,
Sitting by the fire,
Landing with the children,
Mother Christmas,
Sitting by the fire,
Landing with a joyful chuckle.
Feel the cheer and the warmth in your own heart.
Allow the energy of your own tender,
Loving compassion and good cheer to flow from the earth through the body and out beyond you into your world.
Imagine yourself overflowing with this energy,
Inspired by the warmth of the fire and offered without expectation.
Feeling the ripples moving from you through your field and into the quantum field of community,
To friends,
Family,
Neighbours and beyond.
The energy getting stronger as it moves further from you,
Encapsulating the whole world like an enormous hug.
Feeling the ripples returning to you,
Love embracing you,
Breathing it in.
Breathing it in,
Being both the source of this cheerful,
Loving energy and its recipient.
Sitting in the energy of this vibration,
Allowing it to bring you towards stillness,
Towards inner calm,
Towards inner calm,
Giving yourself permission to notice the okayness of this moment.
Tending to yourself here in the warmth of your own presence,
Noticing the sacred love that is with you and of you and for you.
Breathing.
Breathing and as you settle into the spaces,
Noticing what your inner voice is whispering in the quiet,
Listening,
Breathing.
And as we prepare to commence our return,
Taking this moment to set an intention for how you would like to flow through your next moments,
Your next conversations and these next days.
In every breath,
A gift.
Following the next exhale up and out and preparing to be delightfully surprised by what comes next.
