Good morning,
Warrior.
When you're ready,
I invite you to close your eyes or keep an unfocused gaze in front of you,
Whichever you prefer.
Sitting up straight or lying down,
Your head,
Shoulders,
Belly and full body slowly relaxing and letting go.
Morning anxiety,
Especially before work or a busy day,
Can be the absolute worst.
But the good thing is that we're warriors,
And despite our brains best efforts to throw us off our game,
We can handle anything.
Even the awful pit in our stomach that so generously accompanies the other physiological feels of anxiety.
Plus,
We're at the beach,
And nothing can hurt us here.
Except sharks,
But I told them to bugger off.
So we're cool.
So let's just slow it down and quiet our busy mind.
And just begin with 3 deep physiological sigh breaths to fully calm ourselves with peace and ease.
Remembering there's no reason to worry about the day ahead.
We've got this.
So when you're ready,
Just a deep belly breath in through the nose,
An extra quick inhale,
And a nice slow exhale out.
Again,
Just a deep belly breath in through the nose,
An extra quick inhale,
And a nice slow exhale out.
And last time,
At your own pace,
Just a deep belly breath in through the nose,
An extra quick inhale,
And a nice slow exhale out.
Feel the warm ocean breeze hit your skin,
And the light from the sun fill you with energy to handle the day.
And while breathing in,
And out.
Just allow the sunlight to kiss the top of your forehead,
Relaxing any tension in your brow and jaw,
Allowing a soft smile to appear on your face.
Just because the day may be intimidating,
Doesn't mean we'll let it bring down our cool,
Calm body.
Allow the sunlight to kiss your shoulders,
Allowing them to drop and loosen.
Feel it flowing into your chest,
Allowing your breathing to slow down,
And just feel calmness completely wash over you.
See the light travelling to your stomach,
The anxiety pit,
And watch as it wraps around the sensations,
Soothing and easing them.
Breathe deeply into the sensations,
And let out the biggest sigh possible.
Remembering the power of your breath during the day,
And its ability to completely ease us when things get tough.
Now watch as the light travels down your legs,
Allowing them to melt into the surface below,
And feel it spreading around your feet and toes,
Giving you lots of energy to carry yourself in the day ahead.
While sitting or laying here on the beautiful,
Quiet beach,
Just repeat these phrases of confidence and feel them within you.
Because we've totally got this day,
No matter what any difficult coworker has to say about it.
So just repeat,
I am cool,
Calm,
And kind,
And no one will throw off my vibe.
I will look for moments of joy and happiness in my day,
Especially if it's a harder one with any pain.
I am always betting on myself.
There's nothing I can't handle.
I am a warrior every day,
And today is no different.
There's no battle I can't fight and win.
Today I will have a growth mindset,
And take every setback as a moment of learning.
I will love myself fully,
No matter what happens.
I am stepping into my power and self-worth,
And no one can stop me.
Even if I have to do it anxious,
I'll still probably do it better than anyone else.
And we'll just gently stay here at the beach just a moment longer,
Soaking up the rays,
Allowing ourselves to feel at ease and relax.
And we'll just gently leave the beach,
Washing the sand off our toes in the surf,
Just arrive back to the room by taking a deep belly breath in through the nose,
An extra quick inhale,
And a nice slow exhale out.
One more time,
Just a deep belly breath in through the nose,
An extra quick inhale,
And a nice slow exhale out.
And we'll wiggle the fingers and toes,
Give ourselves a nice gentle stretch,
And slowly open your eyes.
They don't call us warriors for nothing,
So don't let anxiety try to ruin what could turn out to be a really great day for you,
Because you're amazing,
And you shine brighter than everyone.
So go on now warrior,
You know you've got this.
