Hi there and thank you so much for joining me for this mind the pain mindfulness meditation where we work together to use science-based mindfulness tools to manage your endometriosis stress,
Pain,
And anxiety.
When you're ready I invite you to close your eyes or keep an unfocused gaze in front of you,
Whichever you prefer.
Sitting up straight or lying down,
Your head,
Shoulders,
Belly,
And full body slowly relaxing.
We'll start with two deep belly breaths to allow us to fully slow down and arrive here in this moment of peace and stillness.
So when you're ready just a deep breath in through your nose,
An extra quick inhale filling all the way up,
And a nice deep exhale out.
One more time deep breath in through the nose,
An extra quick inhale filling all the way up,
And a deep exhale out.
Nicely done.
As you sit or lay here I want you to just take a walk in your mind.
Just imagine yourself in the middle of a beautiful jungle.
Don't worry it's totally safe.
I've asked all the scary creatures to go elsewhere.
We're just surrounded by those really cute mini cats from National Geographic.
See as the Sun peeks through and glistens on the misty cool air.
Just feel it on your skin.
Smelling the beautiful plants and flowers.
A sweet summer day.
The air is clear and fresh.
Just gently breathe in and feel it healing you inside and out.
With each step feel more connected to this peaceful environment.
The vibrant greens of the plants around you and the sunlight filtering through the canopy casting a gentle golden light.
The sounds of birds singing,
Feeling fully tranquil.
You feel safe here.
Surrounded by the protective embrace of nature and all the healing energy she has to offer.
As you continue walking you'll just notice a small clearing bathed in soft sunlight.
At the center of the clearing see a beautiful ancient tree with wide strong branches.
You can feel that there's something special about this tree.
Its presence is comforting and you just feel drawn to it.
We'll just approach the tree.
Notice the smoothness of its bark.
The strength it radiates as you place your hand on the trunk.
You can feel a gentle warmth flowing through you.
Easing any pain or discomfort you may be feeling.
The tree is a magical source of healing energy.
Offering you comfort and relief.
Breathing in deeply and noticing a bunch of butterflies flying around.
Feel the warmth of the tree spreading throughout your body.
Reaching every area that needs soothing.
It's as if the tree is sharing its strength with you.
Helping you feel grounded and supported.
Watch as the pain lifts and releases.
Just looking at the base of the tree you notice a small glowing stone nestled in the roots.
The stone seems to pulse with a gentle,
Calming light.
As weird as it is,
You instinctively know that the stone holds the power to bring you even more relief and peace.
Just gently pick up the stone and hold it in your hands against your stomach or wherever you're feeling pain or anxiety.
Feel its coolness in your hands and how it gradually warms up in your grasp.
And with each breath,
Just imagine that the stone absorbs any pain or tension that you're holding onto.
Sucking it up and replacing it with a sense of deep relaxation and ease.
Watch as the stone shuts down the pain and threat pathways in your brain.
Finally giving you relief.
Hopefully you can feel the pain beginning to dissolve.
Replaced by a comforting,
Soothing energy that flows through your entire being.
Permeating every cell.
Relaxing every muscle.
The jungle around you supports this transformation.
Surrounding you with its calm,
Nurturing presence.
Feeling fully safe and at ease.
Just like you deserve.
We'll just put our healing stone in our pocket.
Finders keepers you know.
Before we return back to the room,
Just take a deep breath in and a nice,
Soft exhale out.
And one more time,
A deep inhale in through the nose.
And a nice,
Slow exhale out.
We'll wiggle the fingers and toes.
Give ourselves a nice,
Gentle stretch.
And slowly open your eyes.
Remember that you can always return to your safe place whenever you're needing comfort.
It's never too far away.
Even on the really bad days.
Go on warrior.
You've got this.
