Good evening,

And thank you for joining me for this Mind the Pain mindfulness meditation,

Aimed at reducing the stress,

Pain,

And anxiety caused by endometriosis.

Well,

We got through it.

The day is almost done.

And you did great,

As you always do.

So let's take this moment to lay down,

Close our eyes,

And take in two deep belly breaths to calm ourselves from the hangover of the day.

Not a literal one,

Of course,

Unless it is.

No judgment.

Sounds like a fun day.

Invite me next time,

You know?

So just take a big inhale in.

.

.

And exhale out.

One more time.

Deep inhale in.

.

.

And exhale out.

Very good.

And just tune into the feeling of the heart slowing down,

Your body slowly relaxing,

Sinking into the surface below you,

And feeling the calmness wash over you.

We'll just take this moment to quickly outline the body,

Feeling the wholeness of your being in this space and time.

Starting from the big toe on your left foot,

Slowly tracing along the outside edges of the body,

Letting these parts melt into the surface.

Coming up the outside of your left leg,

Along the edge of the calf muscle,

Thigh muscle,

Hip,

Torso.

Then take a righty along the armpit,

Go all around the left arm,

Up the neck,

Around your head,

Making your way down your right side,

Over the shoulder,

Down the arm,

Jumping onto the right side of the torso,

And all the way down the leg,

And around the right foot.

Great job.

Let's remind ourselves that our body took such good care of us today,

And helped us stay safe in the moments we encountered,

Even if we weren't mindfully present all day.

Keeping the deep breaths going,

Which part of the body is feeling the most relaxed?

Your jaw?

Shoulders?

It's usually never those,

But if it is,

We'll focus on those parts,

Or wherever is most relaxed.

Reminding the brain of safe places in the body,

Where pain signals can never visit.

Just keep breathing,

In and out,

Deeply and slowly.

There's no one to bother us here.

We're safe.

We've still got some time,

So let's take a moment to search for the best moment of the day,

And take a mental image of it.

Was it that delicious thing you ate?

Laughing with friends?

A hot cup of tea and no one to disturb you?

Or a cuddle with your codependent cat?

Find the magical part of the day,

And remember that feeling you had in your body while experiencing it.

The safety,

Relaxation,

And calmness of those moments.

Remember to be a happiness detective during your day,

Always searching for the moment that you'll remember as the best one.

Reminding yourself of the good times,

Even on the darker days.

Just continuing to breathe deeply and slowly,

Feeling the soothing quiet and stillness of the night time in your body.

We'll slowly wiggle the fingers,

The toes,

And gently open your eyes.

Sweet dreams,

Warrior.
